The quality, thoroughness and professionalism is above and beyond. This is the second time we've used Ric for our home inspections and I highly recommend him. He found issues our city inspectors did not. His report is extremely thorough and I have an outline of what needs to be done including the level of importance.

Ric Davis did a great job on our home inspection. He is an informative professional that you can trust. I would highly recommend his services if you are in need of a thorough home inspection!

In July, 2015 I paid for a report which included a site visit, documentation, photos, etc. then in August 2016 I paid for testimony (he demanded it in advance) but he was not qualified or recognized by the American Arbitration Association, he did not willingly refund my $715.00 and I have not yet received a reply at my request to have it refunded. I also lost the arbitration hearing, which is expected when your Expert Witnesses Testimony get's thrown out. That loss cost me over $20,000. I think Mr. Davis is a good Home Inspector. But I am very upset that he positioned himself as an Expert Witness without actually knowing if he would qualify and that this misrepresentation cost me thousands of dollars.

Ric did a fantastic job with our home inspection! He was incredibly thorough and detailed through the whole process, but did an excellent job of explaining what was and wasn't crucial to have addressed for repairs. He was very patient with all of our questions and concerns, and was also very friendly and personable while maintaining a professional demeanor throughout the inspection. I would absolutely recommend Davis Inspection Company (and Ric, specifically!) for your home inspection.

Rick was incredible. He clearly has master level knowledge of homes and everything you'd want in an inspector. He was incredibly objective and upfront on everything. He treated us like we were members of his family...taking the time to understand our needs and wants, and then making recommendations based on our interests and objectives. We ended up walking away from the home. It wasn't an easy decision b/c we really like it... But he pointed out some major things that were not very apparent on the surface... Once we knew, these were VERY concerning. I fear had we had a less qualified and caring inspector, we would have bought a home that would have brought massive problems and issues, both physically in the structure and financially.

Ric is a true professional and was very thorough and friendly. He knew right away there had been a fire previously that affected the unit being inspected. We had known this before the inspection, but were thrilled to find out we had a fireman to do the inspection to tell us what that meant for the current structure, which had been largely rebuilt. He was incredibly honest and helpful. We have had bad inspections in the past and had learned quickly to find our own home inspector as opposed to whoever has a relationship with the realtor. I'd highly recommend doing the same... And just hire Ric.

Rick was knowledgeable and professional, and gave us detailed practical advice on the process and materials we should use to completely remove the existing mold and prevent the appearance of any more. He knew the science and was clearly invested in our understanding how to go about correcting the conditions that caused the mold in the first place. He was prompt, courteous, respectful, and a pleasure to deal with.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ric, he treats you like family and wants the best for your family. He saved us from buying two homes in rough shape. He explains everything in detail, shows you problems, tells you how it's fixed or if it can be fixed and he gives you his honest opinion. Its also easy to get a hold of someone and schedule. It's hard to find people like Ric, if you want a quality home inspection, then to Davis Inspection, they won't let you down.

Rick and Doug were a pleasure to work with. As someone looking at buying a house for the first time, going through this inspection was a humbling and highly educational experience. I had been looking at a house with my folks that had obvious water damage in the basement, but also had a nice two-car garage, a big backyard, and some decent hardwood floors. It wasn?t a question of whether it had to be flipped?it was a question of HOW MUCH it would have to be flipped. This house had been rented in the past which was the first red flag. Well, it turned out that flipping it would cost tens of thousands of dollars. Rick and Doug are like the Sherlock Holmes and Watson of home inspection. I won?t go into the nitty gritty details of every finding, but there was a lot going on?driveway sloped inward in a way conducive to water damage, uncleaned gutters without extensions, cracked mortar joints, shoddy windows all around, rotted wood, basement wall bowing in slightly from sustained hydrostatic pressure, efflorescence and chronic water issues in the basement in general, galvanized pipes, both the furnace and air conditioning needing to be replaced, and mold, mold, some bacteria for good measure, and MORE mold. The mold had mold. It was terrifying. Within the first ten minutes of looking at the house on the outside, I was 90% sure I was not going to buy it. By the time we were finished in the basement, my dad and I were 100% positive we were gonna RUN from this house. Rick and Doug are truly class acts. Not only is Rick good at what he does, he is PASSIONATE about what he does and it shows in the quality and straight-talking of his inspections. I will absolutely be working with him again once I?ve done my homework and found a better house. On a final note, I had mentioned that I work night-shift and have a tricky schedule. When Rick wanted to call me about something to follow up on, he kept my schedule in mind and called me around midnight. I have had a h*** of time coordinating things over the phone with people for just about everything I need to do?for Rick to call me at night like that, I mean, that is Gold Standard, A+ Customer Service. Call Rick.

The service was professional and made us feel comfortable, gave a good overview of the things that needed fixing. The house needed a lots of repairs. Rick was able to point out all the things that needed to be fixed and he gave us his exact opinion. Not biased so that he can benefit from the sale of the house. The things that we as homeowners overlooked, but he exactly pointed it out. He is an excellent inspector, honest, truthful and very knowledgeable. He saved us from buying a house that would have been a money pit. We would definitely hire him in future and recommend to any friends and family.

I called them on the phone and Richard gave me a very detailed explanation of the problem and he referred me to someone else that would take care of the repair of my radon system. He could have charged me more for coming and then referring me to the other company but he didn't.

Super friendly, quick response, punctual, extremely thorough. Not only did Mr. Davis provide an extremely thorough home inspection, he taught my husband and I about how to maintain our new home. I am a critical consumer and would highly recommend Davis Inspection for home inspection needs.

The service was professional and made us feel comfortable, gave a good overview of the things that needed some mid to long term care explaining the reasons behind. Wish some other missed stuff had been noticed during the inspection but nothing major. The final report delivered came through pretty quickly and was consistent with everything discussed during the inspection.

Mr. Davis was early to the appointment, prepared, patient, and thorough. He is knowledgable on safety and code issues. He gives balanced evaluations of the homes he inspects. We used Mr. Davis to inspect a different home earlier this year, and based on his findings, we avoided a very costly mistake (by not buying the home). We are pursuing the purchase of this latest home, and valued Mr. Davis's input on this decision.

This was a very professional and thorough inspection, and I was very happy with the service. He walked me through all identified problems and advised me on how to follow up regarding them. I was pleased that when I did so, I was able to obtain accurate information regarding the home/problems. He and his son were punctual and very detailed oriented. He provided a prompt written report, which was very helpful. I rarely post reviews, but the service was so good in this case, I decided to take the extra effort!

Rick was fantastic - a joy to work with. We called needing an immediate appointment and unfortunately the homeowners we were purchasing from kept changing the date and time. Rick was happy and willing to accommodate these last minute requests and was flexible. He arrived on time and with his own tools, ladder, etc. We started on the outside of the home and he also went on the roof to inspect. He also climbed in the garage and worked around the myriad boxes the homeowners left for us during inspection. Rick was incredibly thorough and detail focused. He spent the time needed to review and inspect all the issues with the home - inside, outside and structurally. He was very helpful in explaining each of the issues as they arose and taking the time to give his opinion, and ball park estimate on what potential repairs would cost. I'm convinced he found issues that a standard inspector would miss and for this reason we chose to walk away from the home and continue our search. We are forever grateful for Rick for helping us to avoid a money pit home.

He evaluated the proposals and provided an honest assessment for a solution. What impresses me about Ric is that he approaches a problem from total house and environmental perspective. He does not just address what appears to be the basic problem or issue as was the case with the crawl space repair companies I had contacted. He is an unbiased third party that can be trusted to provide an educated opinion.

Mr. Davis conducted a thorough inspection, traced the source to deteriorated exterior trim and provided multiple recommendations to repair it. He was prompt, professional, and clear in his recommendations. I would use him again.

Rick was excellent. He met us at the home on time and introduced himself to us. He was wonderful (as advertised). He hugged my wife and told her that today "You're my daughter". That hit home with me. He treated all of us with our best interest in mind. This was our first home inspection and he set a great tone and gave us a wonderful experience. We walked around the interior and exterior of the home and listened to everything Rick was saying. He let us know about all safety hazards and all health concerns. Once Rick found out that we have a child he told us that we should put a fence up in the yard being that the home is backed to a busy road. He was wonderful. He really broke down every thing to me as though I was a child. It was really overwhelming due to all the information that you have to process in having a home inspection completed but he assured us that there were NO major concerns with this home and that he wouldn't say "Don't buy this home" due to what was found at the home. No major issues. Rick told us about areas of concern that needed attention right away and told us about areas that needed maintenance once we moved in. When asked about certain areas he even told us how much the cost would be to fix. he also told us that if we ever have some work completed that he would have no problem with us calling him to do an inspection on the work to make sure it's done complete correct. I felt really great having him there to protect our interest. Our realtor recommended using a guy that he knows. But, something told me to go with Rick instead. The things that were uncovered in the home inspection allowed us to go back to the table to ask for some repairs to be completed before the purchase is final. If we don't purchase this house the first call I will be making is to Rick to let him know that we will need his services again on another house. Rick was awesome. Rick is fantastic. Very detailed home inspection and counseled me before deciding whether or not to proceed with mold testing. Communicates well- he'll let you know candidly what's up to avoid future surprises. He also has made it clear that in addition to the many questions that naturally came up during the inspection (which he answered in very understandable clear language), he's happy to be available to continue to answer questions well after his thorough report was issued (which I'll likely be taking him up on). Went well. Did a thorough inspection, bringing to our attention the condition and things to consider regarding several aspects of the home. Answered all our questions in a clear and understandable way. Provided a written report, highlighting his findings and noting those items of significant concern. Gave us his personal cell phone number and offered to provide continued advice/counsel over the phone.

He came and was very thoroughly when I was interested in buying a property that needed more work than I was ready to put in. He gave it to me as raw as he could. He covered every inch of the home with prior knowledge of working on homes, it was informative.

I called Friday morning after finding some mold in the basement and being concerned about health issues. The person on the phone was very helpful and said that although the inspector had left for his day already she would see if he could fit me in. She called back exactly like she said she would and scheduled for later in the day. The inspector was phenomenal. He was very thorough and explained everything he was looking for and what he was doing. Offered to help with the remediation process and provided temporary solutions until the lab reports come back this week. All in all, he made a very good impression and was extremely knowledgeable. I would recommend to my friends and family and hire him again in a heart beat.

I am currently looking for a property to purchase and I used Davis Inspection Service twice so far. Mr. Davis did the first home inspection and he assured me that he was there for me and thoroughly went through the property giving an honest opinion of the home condition. I ended up looking for another property due to his great work. The second inspection was done by his son and like his father, he was very nice and through also. Davis Inspection Service even gave discounts because we used their service twice willingly. I am sure that I will use him again in the future when I look to purchase another property.

Overall, the provider was very thorough, very professional, and very prompt. He provided the inspection report the day after the inspection and was very good at explaining his findings during the inspection. I would use him again.
