Description of Work: Dave is an excellent inspector and I will use him again. Found some major issues that would cost me tons of money and time in the future. |The guy really know his business. he found some issues with rotten stucco board and I confirmed everything he indicated by doing my own research and talking to a friend of mine who is a professional contractor. It was sad to let the house go but it would be even sadder to see water leaking through the sealing three years from now. Strongly recommend Dave to anyone.

I am impressed that Rick refuses to recommend contractors or, in any other way, accept payment from them. He believes it puts his impartiality in question to do so. He is money well spent.
Description of Work: I have hired Davis Home Inspection on two different occasions so help me identify, troubleshoot and a plan a course of action to repair certain issues with my home. The first was for a mysterious moisture problem in my basement. The second was in preparation to bid and paint the exterior of myself.

From the beginning, Mr. Davis gave me all of the information I needed to understand the problem, how it got to be a problem, what needed to be done to fix the problem and what to do to make sure the problem doesn't come back. He was there through every step of the process. He had numerous suggestions that made my life easier and the process better. He is an advocate for you to make sure you get the best result for you. This actually extended beyond the actual mold remediation process into other areas of the process to fix the underlying causes. Everyone that I spoke to during the entire process was polite and helpful. I was told numerous times to call and ask any questions I might have -- and I did. There are certainly less expensive mold inspectors out there, but there is no doubt that I received a tremendous value for my money. If you have any concerns about mold, I would highly recommend Davis Home Inspection to guide you through the entire process.
Description of Work: My home inspector referred me to Mr. Davis for a mold inspection. He came out and performed the first inspection, including an air quality sample. It was clear even before the test that there was a mold problem with the house. We discussed possible ways of dealing with this problem in great detail. He described exactly what I should -- and should not -- see in quotes for remediation services and gave me an approximate cost range to expect. As I received quotes for remediation he reviewed them and made suggestions to make sure I got exactly what I needed. When the remediation was complete, he came out and repeated the air quality testing to verity that the process had been completed successfully.
