Furnace cleaning went well with no problems. Humidifier filter that I had previously purchased was installed at no additional charge.

He was on time. He did work that was suppose to be performed. He explained what was necessary from me to keep my furnace running efficiently. Great!

This is the message shown in my original correspondence - "Good news, william. Your availability for your Angie's List purchase has been sent to A & C Heating & Cooling. They will reach out to you to schedule soon!:" (See attachment) I never heard anything from them. Now I'm out the $29.00 because I don't have the time to chase after these things. I'm a professional and don't expect to have to baby sit and check up on what is also supposed to be another professional. This is the 2nd time this happened to me in the last several months. I will be very hesitant to use your service in the future.

The inspection/tune up went well. The Tech was open and honest and reviewed the inspection report with me (no issues). However, the price of $29 is not really discounted from $79. Consumers Energy offers $50 rebates each for HVAC tune ups ($50 for Furnace, $50 for Air Conditioning) from Participating Contractors. How it works: Normally you pay the entire cost of the inspection/tune up up-front. The participating Contractor submits for the rebate on your behalf. After 6-8 weeks of processing time, Consumers cuts you a check and mails it out to you. The nice part about A & C Heating and Cooling is that they will give you the credit upfront (and they will get the reimbursement from Consumers so you don't have to wait for the 6-8 weeks processing time). NB: As a resident, you cannot apply for the rebate on your own, the participating Contractor must do so. The bottom line is $29 out of pocket for the inspection/tune up; which is still a good price for peace of mind knowing that your furnace will keep you cozy for another season. The price is pretty much the going rate for Furnace inspection/tune-up (Fair). But I rated the price "Good" because A & C gave you the rebate up-front. The real praise goes to Consumers Energy for their trade ally program. This rebate program was designed and intended to conserve energy consumption through efficiency. In the end, the your bills are lowered and our energy footprint is reduced. A win win! Kudos to Consumer's Energy! Many people neglect this maintenance for many reasons; from ignorance, to the fear of being "milked" for services not required, or even financial reasons. Many people are also not aware of these rebates, and to be fair, they're really not advertised. Hopefully, my review will encourage you to keep the maintenance on your homes up! P.S. There is an Air Conditioner tun-up rebate as well that you can use in the spring!

They never showed after setting up at least 3 appointments. I had to chase them to get any of the appointments.

It was not installed correctly and they had to come back again to fix the issue

I was never able to make an appointment. There was no response to my suggested dates

I indicated what dates and times would work for me, but I haven't heard from the service provider for 4 days. On Dec 12 I sent the e-mail to this provider to remain him about this service. He responded that he could come on Dec 27 (not really a prompt service). Since 27th didn't work for me I asked whether he could come on Dec 28 at 1:30 PM. I haven't heard from him since. I've sent 2 additional e-mails and left 2 voice messages on his phone. Nothing! I sent the e-mail to Angie's list to cancel this service and get my money back. They responded quickly, but when I asked for my many back nothing happened for another week. I had to call them to finally get reimbursed on Jan 6 - almost a month from the day of purchase.

James was very thorough professional and personable. I received a detailed report of the tests performed and the results. Excellent service at an excellent price.

Nothing to mention very poor customer service I would say no customer service

Worker showed up on time and was efficient and courteous. He answered my questions, even those not directly related to the furnace. He found a problem with the filter in my humidifier and was able to fix it immediately. He was able to give me good advice on maintenance moving forward.

Not only did the company not contact me as stated, I called and left messages multiple times and never received even a call back. Perhaps AL should be a little more careful about these "deals." Nothing is more of a red flag for me than a business that doesn't even bother to return a phone call. I don't know if the deal is still out there, but caution people against purchasing it.

they did an ok to good job. thought they should have done more cleaning then inspecting. I normally clean my own furnace so it was good to have it checked out. I do a more thorough job of cleaning, but maybe that is over kill.

James from A&C Heating and Cooling was very friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. Unlike the other company I used in the past, this company included a humidifier check since it was connected to the furnace in the original price. I was not pressured into any other purchases, and I was complimented on how I kept the furnace maintenance and filter changes up!! The price was so low because it was included in a Consumers Energy rebate. I was so happy that I didn't have to pay full price upfront and that A&C Heating and Cooling applied the rebate to the price at the time of service, instead of me having to go through a bunch of red-tape and time!

Very well. James G. Was very efficient and friendly. Did an excellent job of cleaning and checking furnace out in all phases of operation. Even replaced both air filters (supplied by customer). Highly recommend this company and will use them again. Thank You

He misrepresented himself in the Angie?s List advertisement by not disclosing he would be receiving a $50 rebate from Consumer Energy for this $29 service. I can pay someone $50 to do the service and get the rebate back myself essentially making the service free.

All services were performed as requested.

They came near the beginning of my appointment window and were easy to schedule with. They were quick and professional. They took me through what they did, any issues they saw, and suggested some other services we may want to have done in the future. Would definitely hire again

Checked all aspects of furnace. Found blower capacitor out of range. Showed me readings on meter and explained everything before replacing capacitor at a reasonable price. (Also learned the DTE Warranty service I pay for on the furnace of course does not cover the blower capacitor, nor does Consumers etc.) I am also hiring them to install a humidifier on the furnace. Very knowledgeable, did good job.

I was very pleased with the work that was done on our furnace. It was a little difficult getting the service scheduled.

It went really well. The gentleman came a week early because they had a slot open up. They came out on time, very pleasant and social. He was knowledgeable and explained how it works, how to operate the unit, instructions for maintenance. Very smooth process and a pleasant experience.

Service technician was very knowledgeable and did the job very well. Also I got some education about the furnace too.

It went great, the tech Leo was very sweet and did a wonderful job & explained what he was doing. I also was trying to learn :).

My Angie's List purchase was sent to A&C Heating & Cooling on November 2, 2016, Transaction ID: 643935. I have called them several times to schedule a date for service, they have NEVER called me back - very unprofessional. I deserve to have my money refunded in the amount of $29.00.
