The Davey Tree Expert Company

We have been abundantly happy with them as my husband is extremely extremely finicky about his lawn. They have done a great job on our trees for the past several years. Whenever we have a problem with one my trees they are here like within a day. They are actually pro active in how they approach your shrugs and trees. I would continue to use them and they are going to do a grass for us.

Excellent, effective, and efficient interaction throughout the process. Of the three companies that I contacted, Davey's phone was answered by a person (the others weren't), the estimator came out quickly and gave a solid estimate that he was able to print and present on the spot, and the crew arrived much sooner than first thought (within a few days instead of two weeks). The crew did an excellent job in taking care of downed hand hanging tree branches. The bill arrived shortly later--for exactly the same amount estimated--and I was able to pay it online. I would give this company the highest recommendation. Indeed, we are thinking about contracting with them for additional work. The company did give us a discount because we were Angie's List members.

The appeared very professional, but were $500 to $750 more than anyone elses estimate.

They were responsive, prompt, and professional. They provided me with a quote to do a full prune on 2 large locust trees, remove a sycamore, and grind 2 stumps. They showed up at the appointed time on my requested day off, and gave me a quote. Their price came in $300 higher than their competitor's base price, who also had a significant discount offered through Angie's List that Davey did not have. I went with the other contractor.

No services performed, just an estimate.

They arrived for the tree work right on time with the correct heavy duty equipment and crews. They ground up.all the wood and hauled it away. The stump removal did not occur for about two weeks later, which I would have preferred the next day. Everything was cleaned up. Very professional.

It when well. There was cleanup done, but a little amount of tree shaving was left in the area of the tree in the yard

They were very prompt and nice. We didn't decide to follow through with the project at the time, but will highly consider this company in the future.

Professional. They come when they say they will. They are thorough. Our trees and shrubs are healthier.

Perfect. Estimate was prompt & complete... I'd heard they weren't the cheapest, but also didn't price gouge after wind storm (as with a couple other estimates I received!) The guys that came out to do the work seemed to know their stuff - the clean up didn't appear simple to me, but they just got down to business and got it done.

It was a pleasure to deal with them. The crew was punctual and polite.

On 8/20/2012, I signed the proposal presented to me by David Bargerstock, the arborist from Davey Tree expert Co.. David had reviewed with me the options for solving problems presented by the condition of the tree and encourged me to prune the tree and thin branches over the house. He was prompt with arrangements to estimate and patiently answered my questions . He did not give me the feeling that I "had to do something about the tree right away" as others had. I had four other evaluation/estimates before my session with Dave. After considering the recommendations from the previous tree trimming/removal servicesand my experiance with falling branches, I decided on removing the tree.Davey tree service did not have the lowest estimate but was lower than two others , one by $900 dollars. A date was set for tree removal. The removal crew arrived on time with all the tools, trucks,chipper and crane to remove the tree. They were busy at all times and alternated breaks to keep the work flow going. Jon S., Joe and the crew did an excellent job of safely removing such a giant tree without damage to my house or property and did an excellent cleanup job afterward.

Job was done very good, they came first thing in the morning, did the job & cleaned it all up

They are timely and prompt. The price is very competitive. I am happy with them and I am planning on using them for tree service next spring.

After our meeting and consultation (time consuming) we were promised an estimate and availabitlty for service. We heard not one word from thei company. The lack of consideration is unacceptable. One of the most annoying things about any business is to spend time and energy in a consulation, only to be totally ignored afterward. This is very revealing, and it reflects the basic character of a company and its employees.

Estimator was on time and very courteous. He explained in detail the type of job, what would be the outcome and rough estimate of time. He also answered various other questions I had about lawns in general. Few weeks later as expected, the crew had completed the job and the result was as I had expected.

They did a very nice job. Cleaned up nicely, and protected my house and windows from the stump grinder debris. I would use them in the future.

It is a very large organization. They were very knowledgeable and knew what they were doing. They came in and did their job. They were very conscientious about taking care of any kind of chemicals that could harm animals. They were very caring; it cost money but it was worth it. I will use them again in the future.

Overall, the work was completed without any problems & professionally. I would use this company again.

The Salesman was prompt and thorough and followed up when he said he would. The crew was several days late coming out to my property but did the work without my self or the Salesman present to guide them. Yet they did a fine job, exactly what i asked for. Stump grinding came a week or two later. Overall, a very good experience with Davey.

They great job. We wanted to keep the wood; they stacked the wood on driveway for us! Everything was spotless when they left. Everybody was wonderful. We've got another tree that has to come down & we'll use them again.

My wife thinks highly of them. They know the tree business. They are higher priced than those who are not as well trained, but you pay for the service you get.

They are very professional. I will have contact with one of their personnel with their cell number, so I can call him. They will tell me if they notice something on my trees like scaling or anything. They will be out there in a couple of days. If I am going to be out there on Thursday and I call on Monday, the person definitely gets out there in a couple of days to see what is going on. He is very nice and very very knowledgeable. He is very good. He knows his stuff. Their price is competitive. I will use them again in the future.

I use them every summer. I am very pleased with their work. I have the best grass on the block. I have been using them for the past three years. They have done landscaping, removed bushes, done grass, and planted flowers. There was a summer when it was extra hot, and some of the flowers weren't looking too good. He replanted them at no extra cost. They have a time table for when they do the work.

They came when they were scheduled to come. They answered my questions, and gave me a good explanation of what I needed, and what they were doing. The overall experience was excellent. I was very satisfied with everything they did.
