The Davey Tree Expert Company

They are an excellent company, they do a good job. The problem I had with them is that they were high priced. I would not use them again at that price, they were twice as much as other companies. The work they did was excellent and they left the area clean.

It was a year or two ago, but I was very satisfied with them. They were very good. I would tell a friend that they're very competent and very professional.

I have used them in the past and I am getting ready to use them again. They are good. They did the job as performed, as scheduled, and as requested. I had no problems with them.

They were great. It wasn't cheap but it was something I could afford. They clearly know what they're doing. They do precautions and what not. They're very efficient on taking it down without too much of a mess on the yard. They removed all the branches, leaves and everything. I live in a condo now so I don't need to do it again but I would use them again if I have to.

They cleaned up very well. On time, respectful and did the job I asked them to do.

The service was fine. There were no problems there. Their price would probably be fair. They were very professional. They did competent and professional work. I would recommend them.

They are excellent. The people who come have excellent customer service skills. They always call before they come and let you know approximately when they are going to be here. The salesman that I have always dealt with, his name is Bob Harris, is really good too. We actually signed a yearly contract with them to have these works done. We have compared their price with others and there was one other company they were comparable with, but the other company was not like Davey that is located here in Canton and we decided to go with the local business.

It was great. They were really good. The guy came out more than once to help review something that I was concerned about and even exchanged pictures with me to easily communicate with that and they were really nice about it. They are not overly expensive and they are not cheap.

They were also here in August of last year to take care of another issue.

Davey Tree Expert company prices are moderately high. I have had no issues with the services provided until he last few years. However, for the last few years, I have had to purchase weed killer and spray my lawn to kill weeds along the back of my property and along the street. I should not have to purchase weed killer to maintain my lawn when I am paying Davey Expert Tree company to do it.

From start to finish, Davey Tree Experts were excellent. I got quotes from several companies and Davey Experts had the best price. Bob Paris handled all administrative aspects of the project and was excellent at communicating. He did the estimate and supervised the job and was very professional. The quality of work done was excellent over all. The workers were polite while at my home. And they cleaned up the place looking better than before.

Daveys salesman phoned two days before the job was scheduled. He gave us a time and the workers did arrive in that scheduled time. There were two men who told me their plan for trimming the trees and asked if that would be alright. They trimmed the trees so they looked like they had naturally grown nicely. I am very happy with their work. They cleaned up the area when they were finished.

I have had them for a couple of years now. They are scheduled for this year. They were out in early spring and they will come in the summer and then they'll come in the fall. For what I get, I think it is $81 for each application. I think they are very good. They were recommended to me and that's why I went with them. I am sure there are other ones that are less than that, it seems like a lot of money but to do it yourself and buy all the stuff, is expensive too.

Their service went very well. They were good, they came out on a reasonable amount of time, they followed up. Their price is lower than I thought.

I have an old spruce tree in my front yard (well...now I should say I *had* an old spruce tree) that was partially uprooted. I wasn't sure if it was uprooted enough to be an issue. Also, the tree looked like it may have some disease or something. The first tree company I called said I was just outside their working area, so they wouldn't come. The second company I called was Urban Foresters. They did not feel the tree was particularly in danger of falling, but at the same time said that it was possible. They gave me a quote for removal, and also for other options I had asked for. Davey came out a couple days later, and the Davey representative was like, "You definitely need to cut down this tree!" When I told him that another tree company felt it was optional, not urgent, he replied, "You should probably get a quote from a third company then, because I think this tree definitely needs to come down." Unfortunately, tree companies are a peculiar sort, and I was never able to find a third company that was willing to come out and look at my tree, except for one that wanted to charge $75 to give a quote. Since Urban Foresters seemed more open about possibilities, rather than Davey's apparent eagerness to cut down my tree, and the fact that Davey quoted $1185 compared to Urban Foresters' quote of $905, I chose Urban Foresters.

Their service was fine. The problem is that they've done my neighbor as well so they had two different contracts going on at the same time. It's a little confusing. Their work is fine. The only problem I had with Davey's is that you have to sign the contract and if you don't, they will automatically come back annually. When you want it one time only, that becomes a problem but their actual work was very good. Well I have some of my trees and shrubs that have deep roots done by them. They work thorough and competent. They are an excellent tree service. My only concern is about the contract. The problem that we discovered later on was that we got two different contract. One was automatically renewed quarterly and that wasn't explained to me and my neighbor did not have that so that's my only concern. They were not clear. I would use this provider again in the future.

To be honest, I was not happy with their service. I cancelled the work order but when I came home there were two young men cutting my trees. I?m glad that I got here before they did much more but it still cost me $180 which I did not really have to pay but they had already cut three trees so I just had to pay for the service done. They did not get the message and I had called two weeks before they came to cancel it because I felt that it was too expensive and I could not afford it. The job they did was good on my two front trees and it had a good view of the city stream in front of my house but it should not happen, so I was not happy. The price was too high for me. For what they did the quality is ?B?. They were not supposed to come because I called them to cancel it. It should have been cancelled but it was not. I did not know that they were coming.

We’ve been very pleased with them. They were a little bit high, but they were the only one that we could get to come in to do it.

Dan came out to give us an estimate on both tree pruning service and landscaping. The landscaping turned out to be over our budget for the time, but we hired them for the tree pruning. It was clear throughout everything that Dan was very knowledgable about his trade. The best part was that they had an opening in their schedule and were able to complete the work a full 2 weeks early! They arrived early in the morning and worked through the early afternoon and 5 large trees and had been neglected for way too long. When we went out to check how things were going we were amazed at the difference. I think they probably took out about half of one of our trees; it looked so much cleaner. We are very happy with their service and will definitely call them next time we need tree work done and would also consider them for their other services.

I was looking to have two of my trees trimmed.Before hiring someone I wanted to know if the trees were healthy enough to survive or if they should be cut down. For this reason, I wanted to deal with an arborist rather than a guy with a chain saw. After checking out the trees it was decided that they would be trimmed. In the meantime, the maples were trimmed. The crew showed up on time and had the job done in a couple of hours, including a thorough cleanup. Ken was very patient with answering all the questions I forgot to ask when he was here and returned my calls quickly. At the same time, my husband wanted to take a limb off an oak. The arborist strongly advised him not to do it but he insisted. Luckily, I was able to convince him to wait a few more months and we will have that tree trimmed this fall.

They did a very good job. They came out when they said they would. The man who gave me a quote was very thorough. He came out when he said he would. He returned my calls within 12 hours. A was during a very busy time for them. They sent 3 different crews out. One crew didn't quite clean up and another crew came out to do something and he got a rake out right away to clean up.

The Contact for this area called & said that he will be by in about 20 minutes & asked if I was aware that they are booked until the end of August. I advised him I was not aware of this & I still need as estimate. He brought this up again during our initial conversation. Upon arrival I proceeded to communicate what I wanted & needed to have done, because I stated that I did not want to be doing this again in about another 3yrs. I was trying to explain what I wanted done to the branches close to & over my house,that there are 2 main branches I wanted taken off. He said they would just trim 10ft up from the roof & not where I need it done. Again I attempted to explain what I was going after & he stated that this is pretty simple. Observing that this is not going anywhere I politely asked him to leave , I do not need your business. I was taken aback by his Grandiose & Condescending Demeanor. I chose at that point to patronize someone else. I am still looking & I will get it done to my satisfaction with a company that will listen to a potential customer.

They came right up and gave a good estimate. They were responsive. They couldn’t give me an exact date for the service, but a range of sometime within the next three weeks. The quote for tree fertilization and pesticide was $500, and the quote for trimming four trees was $900.

They were great! I was very happy. The clean up was perfect i couldn't have been happier with it, they cut one tree down, Every thing just went the way they said it was going to go. It was better than expected.
