Scheduled the install in december 2013.. Estimate was done about a month later.. Scheduled for March 3,2014...No show,No call....what a wasted day and loss of one days pay for me....They apologized when i called them at 5 that evening.. To cold for the mortar to set...Okay thats fine lets reschedule for the 7th of march and they offered me a $50 discount for the screw up.. They then come friday to install the window...Hmm wrong size and wrong style block...Another wasted day off work..Now they've already cost me two days and more $$$$ than i would of paid for the window...He says he will call to reschedule but never does...My wife called and left several messages and not once did he call back...And this was (what he told me ) the owner of the company... One heck of a company...I guess my little bathroom window was to small of a job for them and they did'nt want to waste there time or something...For the amount of time spent waiting and the amount of money i lost taking two days off work they could at least call and set it straight ...I would never recommend this company to anyone ...But who knows maybe if its a big enough project they'll show up and get the job done...

Kurt and his team were extremely professional. They had started the day when it was a light rainfall and over the course of the day became a down pour. However, they were dedicated to get the job done on or before the time they've communicated (3:00 PM). They were extremely careful with my brick paved walkway and removed any bricks that were in the way and carefully set them aside. They did a great job of clean up at the end of the day and made sure that I was aware of how everything worked. I've recommended them to a few other folks looking to get an egress window put in as well.

Very Bad! The Superior Glass Block Company is very prejudice! I live in a biracial city, so I got screened out!

I emailed this company to receive an estimate on the replacement of 3 glass block windows in my basement and one in my garage. As I work MNs email is usually my preferred method of communication. They were prompt to respond to my inquiry and requested photos be sent to try and do estimate without coming out. I appreciated this in my ever busy world. Unfortunately there were unable to do this and would have to come out for an estimate. Their stated date to come out just for the estimate was almost a month out, with work to be scheduled 2 months out. I chose to go with another well rated Angie's list company that could be out in 2 weeks to perform the work. I informed Superior block of my choice and they responded cordially and wanted to ensure that I had hired someone that would do the work correctly pointing out some things to make sure the competition performed in a non-aggressive educational way that I appreciated. It also helped me verify I had hired someone that was up to par. I appreciated this. Given my communication with them I can only guess working with them would be just as up front and easy. I will definitely consider them for future needs down the road.

They sent a representative to price the work, then did everything they said they would do. Both the sales rep and the installer were a pleasure to deal with.

Woman was very responsive and apologetic. Said that for glass block windows they stay close to the Plymouth area and that they do not service the Ypsilanti/Pittsfield/Ann Arbor area for those. Gave me a recommendation for another company but they had bad reviews on Angie's list.

I contacted Superior Glass for a quote on two glass block windows sometime in July. We schedule work several months in advance and I was just informed a week away from our appointment (Sept 20th) that not only do they not service Royal Oak, but they don't have record of our appointment. They then told me our options would be to choose someone else or reschedule for January. This was my first time using Angies List and Superior Glass and I'm very dissatisfied with both companies.

I used Them last June. They're a family on company. They were very professional and they came in quick and clean.

Overall the service was great and I would definitely recommend them. Everyone was professional from the people in the office to the installers. They called and confirmed our appointment, which I love. The installers were in and out so quick and the windows look great!

The owner, Mr. Imes, was on time for our appointment to receive an estimate. We showed him a picture of the customized window we wanted and discussed details. He was professional and friendly. On the day of construction, Mr. Imes and his crew arrived and started right into work. My husband and I had special requests along the way. Mr. Imes worked collaboratively with us both. To ensure quality, Mr. Imes was involved in every detail. He holds all skills required for this complex work. He works diligently from when he steps on the sight until he drives away, even working well into the evening to get the job done. He and his crew work as a team. This task exceded time projections because of the complexity, Mr. Imes sustained focus and effort until the job was complete. He offers to return is attention is needed to any details. We are very happy with the result of work done by Superior Glass Block.

We found out that our friend's house had been broken into, and offered to pay for glass block windows for her basement where they had broken in. She was on her way out of town for Christmas and did not have a lot of time to deal with this. I called and someone came out the following day. The windows were installed the next day, and she left on her vacation as planned. So grateful for such a quick response and a good job!!

Called for an estimate. On time arrival, answered all my questions and explained how their process works. Fair price, we just have not ordered yet. It was pleasant working with Superior.

The window are made in the USA, and are of high quality. The installers were pleasant and completed the job quickly. However, they did not use drop clothes, and dropped a lot of grout on the basement floor, which was tiled in some places and carpeted in others. The left without doing any clean up on the inside. When I called and complained the owner (?) said they would be out the next day to clean it up. A couple days later they did come out and clean it up. Even after they cleaned it up it took washing of the tile and vaccuming of the carpet to get it back to the way it was. This could have been avoided if drop clothes were used. Price was higher than other estimates I had obtained. However, based on their "A" rating I thought their quality would make up for the higher price.

Got an estimate for 5 glass block windows with vents. Got the quote within a week from when I emailed them for a quote. They said once I signed the contract it would be several weeks before the windows would be put in (it was around xmas time of the estimate) which i had no problem with. Windows installed around 1/7/13. Before they arrived that day, I got a phone call from the company asking me have I chosen anyone yet to do the windows. I said yes, you guys are coming today remember????? You would think the people in the office would know when they were putting windows in.... After they were finished I did a quick inspection since i take care of my daughter during the day. After I had more time to look at them, I seen 2 windows with the mortar on the inside had gotten on the glass. it was a HORRIBLE mortar job!!!! It looks like crap on the inside!!! Also its only been a few months and the mortar is already cracking!!! One window i had to put caulk in it because there was a small hole leaking water in because the mortar wasn't covering it all.... NOT EVEN 5 MONTHS INTO GETTING THEM REPLACED, WINDOWS LEAKED!! after having the owner come out and look at the issue, he offered a full refund so we took it and guess what.... NEVER RECEIVED A REFUND!! HE THEN MADE UP STUFF SAYING IT WASN'T THEIR FAULT,ETC... STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!

I found him to be prompt. He did exactly what he told me he would be doing. He completed the work quickly and efficiently. He was neat completing the job and cleaned up after himself. The job turned out very well. After the installation we found how much better the glass block windows were opposed to what we had before. He provided high quality work and materials at a very reasonable price. We are completely satisfied with the job.

Overall we were very happy and would use Superior Glass Block again. They are incredibly responsive and friendly, both on the phone and in person. We were able to schedule quickly, and they worked quickly. The windows look very nice, aside from some grout on the sill in a spot or two. There was also substantial clean up involved on the inside after they left, but it was well worth it for the great price, wonderful service and product!

Everything went smoothly! Kurt is very professional and was on time for both appointments (one to measure and give me a quote and one to perform the work). The windows look fantastic-both inside and out! I plan to replace my 8 basement windows with glass block within the next couple of years and will definitely have Superior Glass Block do the job!

I was thoroughly satisfied witht he professionalism during the intial estimate conversations, as well as the final product. At my last house I had this work performed by another company who left a large part of the clean-up to me. Superior does not do that. I had to look close to even know they had been there (aside from the obvious new windows). I highly recommend this company to anyone and would not hesitate to hire them again for work at my house.

Company made an appointment to come out and look at the job, and they did. There was a slight mis-communication about when they were to come out and do the actual work, but it was ironed out by giving me a small discount because they made a mistake. Then they came out and the work was done very well.

A) One and 1/2 months ago, filled out the request for quote form on their website - got no response. B) Tried again 1 week ago and filled out the request for quote online with all details filled in (name, address, exactly everything that I was looking for). Next day I received a phone call (message) asking if I had any questions to call. (If you received the quote request, try reading it!!) Seemed dumb, but I called and said I wanted to schedule an appointment for an estimate on getting some work done. After restating everything that was in the quote form, the lady found my information and scheduled an appointment for a Tuesday. (Was told that there was no need to be home, person will stop by, measure and I should receive an email with a quote by Wednesday.) People were home Monday thru Thursday but, no one showed up. Basically no one showed up, no one called, no estimate means to me no interest and obviously no work will be done for me. Not a great way to run a business.

When I called for a quote for the small job of glass blocking in an old milk chute, Jamie was able to fit me in around other contractors, and we were treated like we were contracting for a big job! Someone came out before the scheduled day and measured. The two workers (Kurt & ?) that came out for the actual job were timely, and did a great job of matching the existing basement windows (which I hadn't even thought of). They also framed in the chute and built a frame in the interior around the entire old chute. They cleaned up, were very polite. Great job!!

I liked their punctuality. The prices were same as what they had told on the phone and they came and finished the work. They were clean. The overall service was good.

I asked the company to come out and give me a quote for glass block window installation and possible egress window. Our immediate need was for the glass block windows and the quote for egress was for planning purposes. We did get the glass block windows installed and the crew was very courteous and professional. They called to confirm our location and to ask if it was okay to come earlier than our expected time. They worked fast and explained what they were going to do before they started the job and showed us the work when they were finished. For 6 glass block basement windows, the job was done in just a few hours and they took care of all of the clean up. Upon consultation and estimate, my information for the egress window is on file with them and if I should choose to use them for the egress window in the future, we will get an additional discount for being a loyal customer. I will still investigate other options as I get closer to needing an egress window installed, but they are going to be at the top of my consideration list.

It took 3-4 weeks from the time I received an estimate until the job was done, but this is the time line I was told to expect. They arrived on time as scheduled. Installation was quick and everything was cleaned up. Questions were readily answered. I really like the windows. The only issue I have is that my shrubs and plants in front of the windows were trampled and broken. I realize they were in the way, but I think this damage could have been lessened. It would also be nice if they had something to offer to cover ugly clumps of mortar that were exposed when the frame around an old coal chute was removed. At the same time my neighbor also had windows put in her basement in a house build in the early 30's. Her job went well and she is totally satisfied. Due to an addition error, her estimate was $100 short of the actual amount. The error was pointed out on her copy of the estimate and she was able to come up with the extra but it could have been an issue.
