 + 0 moreOwner, Kurt and his 3-man crew showed up around 9:15am just as expected. They installed an egress window (also finished off the window inside), replaced a basement block glass window and trenched and installed a pop-up gutter drain. They had completed their work and cleaned up by 5:30!! I can't say enough about this team. Their finished work exceeded my expectations!! They laid drop clothes through the house, down the basement stairs and across the basement for the egress window installation. With all the rain we have been having, and all the mud around the construction area, I was concerned that my white basement carpet would need professional cleaning once the work was completed. Kurt assured me I had nothing to worry about and he stayed true to his word! The installation team was friendly, courteous, professional and above all, delivered a superior finished product!!

 + 0 moreWe were told that they couldn't do the work for four months and we were given a quote day. The truck broke down during our appointment and we were rescheduled and they didn't show up on the rescheduled day either. Then they couldn't give us a quote for another month and wouldn't be able to do the work for 5 or 6 months. In the end, the company was not professional. They should give potential customers accurate information about their ability to do the work so they don't waste months trying to schedule something.

 + -1 moreTruly the worst - dishonest, didn't show and then lied to me when questioned. Here's hoping you look elsewhere for your glass block needs. The team at Superior, and specifically Kate in the office, handled a small issue (installers running late) in the worst possible way. They did not contact me to say they were running late and, after I called them, promised a call back from the manager the next day (which didn't happen). Then, to top it off, when they finally did call back three days later, Kate claimed they had never been running late in the first place, before hanging up on me like a seventh-grader.

 + -1 moreIt took the installers 45 minutes to install the 3 windows at my primary residence. It would probably take them less time to do the two windows at my rental property, yet the best they could do for me was that I had to wait a month before getting those installed. I probably would have relented and agreed to have them do that work had the owner not been so incredibly condescending and sarcastic over the phone. After she suggested twice that perhaps I didn't want them to install these windows I agreed with her. I cannot rate this company on price or quality because they did not complete the work that was agreed on. I will not recommend this company in the future.
Description of Work: Installed 3 glass block windows at my primary address - this installation went okay. I would have liked them to have cleaned the bricks around the new windows better - they suggested I could just do that myself with a hose after the cement dried. They were supposed to then go to my rental property to install two other windows but these installers didn't have the correct size windows, even though the company had sent out someone to measure the windows a week prior. The installers suggested we all go over to the rental property to at least get a proper measurement, so I agreed to do that. We went over to the other property, measured the windows, and the installers said it would take a day or two to manufacture the windows and that someone from the company would call shortly to discuss a new installation date. I received a call an hour or so later from Superior Glass Block wanting to know what happened. I reminded him about their having measured the windows the week prior and not sending the correct size windows with the installer. The caller said he would get to the bottom of this and would call me back. An hour later he called back to suggest the earliest they could get back to fix the problem they caused was November, and that I should understand this because they are a family-run business and they just don't have the installers available. I asked to speak to the manager - Kate, who I believe is the owner, and she simply reiterated what the previous person had said, that I would have to wait until the middle of July at the earliest to get my windows installed. An incredibly sarcastic "I"m sorry" was the only thing I heard that remotely sounded like her taking responsibility for their mistake.

 + 1 moreThe installation went well however it failed the city inspection because the dirt around the egress well was not leveled. Has contacted the vendor who promised to fix the problem in the first week of January. But did not receive a call from them. Contacted them again in mid January. They did respond but still did not want to come out and fix the problem right away. It's something we could potentially fix ourselves but with lots of labor and of course money. And it is not what we would expect from a supposedly reputable vendor.

 + 2 moreThe owner and his team were very efficient and courteous. They did their best to relocate some of our flower bed for the egress window. The quality of work was very high, especially for such a competitive price. After the job was done, we had cosmetic complaints about two of the glass block windows finishing on the inside of the basement but the owner was prompt and responded to our concerns quickly. He came himself to smooth out the presentation and we are completely satisfied with the work that they did now. Great quality work, great service and a great price. Thousands cheaper than some of their competitors. I highly recommend them.

I visited numerous glass block companies, but they just sold the windows and referred me to installers that seemed too expensive. After nearly two years of looking at that awful wall unit, I trusted my instincts (and Angie's List) and hired Superior Glass Block & More to put in a window for me. I made the right choice! Kate, in the office, was a pleasure to deal with. The owner came out personally to measure for the glass block. Finally, the two installers, Chuck and Brendon, were professional, courteous and knowledgable. They arrived on time and worked diligently until the job was done, patiently answering my questions all along the way. It was just one small window, but they made me feel like a valued, important customer. Thank you!!!!

 + 0 moreKurt and his crew did a great job on the window. They were in and out in one work-day and it looks good. So far the quality seems great. Every time I called the office, they were very helpful. I did have to mop up the basement floor near the window, but I think there was more mess because of cutting into the floor for the extra drain work ($500). The price was mid-range based off of other phone calls I made prior to choosing Superior. More expensive options were able to come out sooner (Superior's availability was approximately 1 month from scheduling), but the less expensive options didn't seem as professional. When dealing with the basement, I wanted to make sure the job was done right.
