Description of Work: Phil Soma installed recessed lights in our den, undercabinet lights in our kitchen, and rewired the basement so that we could turn on multiple lights with switches. He also installed two workshop ceiling light fixtures. Everything looks well and we are very pleased with the result.

Description of Work: Phil Soma was extremely responsive, calling me same day as my outreach and coming for services the next day. He fixed two of my needs and declined to do the other things I needed. He did replace a 50AMP GFCI breaker for me and found a "rogue circuit" that had stopped working but not tripped a breaker. My other work was more complicated than SOMA wanted to do. I would recommend SOMA for non-complex work. Very professional.

Description of Work: Phil is always awesome to work with. We had an outlet get hot and blacken the wall - wasn't wired correctly when the house was built. Phil came the next day, cleaned everything up, re-did the wiring and put a larger wall outlet (4 vs 2) in its place. I highly recommend Phil and his work.

+ -1 moreThe quoting process went very well. I didn't have a solid plan, but I had a good idea of what I wanted. Phil Soma (the owner) walked around the garage with me and took good notes of what I wanted. When the quote came back, it was very detailed and had many specific line items so I could break down how much each desire that I had would cost. After some additional additions and subtractions, we both had a complete understanding of what work was going to be done and what the price was. The actual work required about 2 1/3 days to complete. During the installation, we changed some things which added cost, but we discussed exactly what the cost increase was going to be and why. When everything was complete, there were no surprises with the final bill. I very much appreciated that. Soma Electric performs a very professional job and I would recommend him to anyone. He is a super nice guy, and very friendly to talk to.
Description of Work: Electrical wiring of large 25x50 garage. There was a random mish-mash of electrical boxes and switches that were already installed in the garage, but it was done with poor quality by the previous homeowner. I already upgraded the main service with a new main circuit breaker panel (installed by different company). I hired Soma Electric to design and wire the electrical circuits based on a general idea that I had, and to connect them to the new service. He used the existing wiring as much as possible to save money, but brought the wiring up to code.
