Phil did a very thorough and conscientious job on a couple of very puzzling circuit issues. He seemed more worried about how much everything was going to cost than I was. When he was all finished, my final bill was about 1/2 what I was expecting. Great work at a very reasonable rate. I will definitely use him again for any electrical needs I have.

Phil was very knowledgeable with the work requested. He was able to give me an accurate quote on parts required for the job based on pictures I sent him. Phil is very responsive on many of my questions and he was willing to work with me on the proposal. The job was done on time and professionally. I will most definitely go back to Phil if I have other electrical work.

I called late in the day on Saturday, he came right over to look at situation. He went over everything and fixed was he felt was possibly causing issue. Of course it wouldn’t trip when he was there. Very professional ... will definitely recommend and use again for any of my electrical needs.

It was a great experience. They moved a ceiling fan from one spot to another and replaced three lights.

We have used Soma Electric in the past and have never been disappointed. This visit was no exception. Phil was great. He diagnosed the problem and replaced the breaker that needed replacing. Phil does not oversell his services (like some companies would) He only replaced what needed replaced. He provides great service at a fair price. I would definitely use his services again.

Phil came right away (was even a little early), got right to work and was done in less than an hour. He already had the parts on-hand, knew what he was doing, and double checked our breaker panel to make sure that everything in that circuit was working correctly. A+++

Service, punctuality, responsiveness and communication where excellent. I received a quote right away and was e sent a specification of the proposed surge protector I requested immediately. The surge protector was installed within 24 hours of quote. I highly recommend Phil at Soma Electric.

Phil was friendly but said he was not willing to perform the work. Estimated that it would probably cost about $200, but did not want to go into my attic since it was tight.

Could not get hold of them. When I called their phone number, it just played country music. Tried calling a number of times over several days. What the heck?

Phil was early to the appointment. He was polite, respectful, and honest. The job was too big for him alone so he referred us to a different electrician. I give him 5 stars for admitting it was too much to take on, instead of taking the job and getting in over his head.

Recommend! Phil responded quickly to my initial work request, we made the appt., and he was timely and got the job done in less than 2 hours. The job required wiring the ceiling for a fan w/light kit, as well as rerouting original light switch from wall outlet, and adding a fan switch. He then hung the new fan w/light kit that I purchased...and presto, I've now got a ceiling light and great breeze in the room! He cleaned up afterward, and I'm very happy with the work.

Everything was great, a little mess was left behind, which I quickly cleaned up, no big deal.

Phil was the consummate professional. He responded to my initial inquiry within 20 minutes and came out to give me a quote the next day. He was very thorough in his quote and was extremely competitive. We hired him and he completed the work 3 days later. Very quick, clean, and professional! Kept everything clean and was done with the work in less than 4 hours. We will definitely look to Phil for future electrical work!!

Phil Soma called me back immediately after I contacted him via Angie's List. I explained to him the problem I was experiencing and he was able to come out the very next day. He arrived right on time (if not early) and was extremely friendly and professional. Phil had trouble locating the cause of the problem and did not seem to be very familiar with new LED lighting and associated switches. He spent an hour removing/replacing switches and verifying connections but was never able to find the problem. After he left, I am still experiencing the same issues. I did pay him for his time. Soma Electric would be a great choice for standard electrical needs (installation of new switches or fixtures, re-wiring panels, etc... But, I unfortunately can't recommend them if your issue is not immediately clear and requires any non-standard troubleshooting. The problem ended up being LED bulbs that were not compatible with Lutron's new LED/CFL dimmer. Once I switched out the bulbs, the problem went away. I figured that out by doing some research on Lutron's website after the electrician left.
