Phil showed up exactly on time, and made short work of the ceiling fan install. He was very professional and friendly as well, and he brought all the tools and parts he needed. I will definitely be using him for any other electrical jobs that come up.

Phil was fantastic! He wouldn't give up until he figured out all my electrical issues. He fixed everything and came up with a plan for future corrections. I would recommend him to anyone needing any electrical work. He was on time and very professional. I felt his charge was most reasonable.

He was nice, but in a very big hurry. One bath light is crooked, one is loose. Ceiling fan is good . He was here two hours and 20 minutes, but said he did not plan on taking so long. I did not call him back to straighten the light, or tighten the other one. When he was here he said the one was loose because that was the way it was made. It only took a couple of washers in the back of the light to fix it. Did not want to ask him back to straighten the crooked light. I will fix that when I paint.

Very good, and very helpful. He showed up on time, and the work was done well. He tried to help me fix it before replacing it. So he tried to save me some money.

In defense of Phil: Turned out there were two other outlets hidden in the storage room behind a lot of stuff. I found them later and was able to fix the problem on my own. If we hadn't told Phil there were no other outlets, I'm sure he would have found and fixed the problem which turned out to be a bad connection in the last outlet I found. His charge of $60 was fair since he worked hard at solving our problem and I learned from him that I was on the right track on looking for a disconnected wire in one of the linked outlets. I found Phil very courteous, professional, and knowledgeable and would call him again if we ever have another electrical problem.

We had recently bought our house. It was made in 1966 and did not have overhead lights in the 4 bedrooms. We checked on Angie's List and contacted Phil Soma of Soma Electric. Phil came out that day, assessed the job and then had us a very fair estimate the very next day. The day of the job, Phil and his helper arrived a few minutes early (something unheard of in this day). They were very orderly and professional. During the work Phil noticed that the light switches were connected to the outlets. He disconnected them from the switch, so that the outlets would always be on (and not rely on the switch being on). Giving that little extra. That is something again that isn't seen these days. He completed the work promptly. The job was professionally done and he cleaned up afterword. After spending a few hours with Phil, I can tell that he is a professional, honest, hard working, electrician with good a moral character. His assistant also showed these traits. I highly recommend Phil Soma and Soma Electric to anyone who needs electrical work done.

I called Phil and made an appointment, Phil arrive on the appointment date on time and ready to go to work. I had Phil inspect a circuit where my sump pump is located, made sure it had the adequate power to run both my primary and battery back up sump pumps and to make sure everything was up to code. He also inspected my main electrical panel to look for anything that was not wired properly or not up to current code. He charged me $95 which I felt was very reasonable. He was at my home for about 1.5 hours, He even quoted me a price to replace all my outdoor flood light motion sensor lights as they do not function anymore. I would highly recommend Soma Electric for his honesty, professionalism and fair prices.

Phil arrived exactly when promised. He is personable and does high quality work. Would definitely use him again. His cost was very reasonable.

Phil is an amazing electrician, very responsive, and willing to tackle new challenges. We had him install a tankless water heater, which he had never done before. He came over, after going to Home Depot, talking to the folks there, and figuring out which accessories he would need, and succeeded in installing that thing in about an hour or so. That involved putting in two circuits in the box, attaching it to the wall, and doing all the hookups. I was very very impressed. The best thing is ... the tankless water heater works great! It still pumps out hot water like it's it's job. I would and will hire Phil for any and all electrical needs in the future.

Phil Soma arrived on time. We discussed up front the list of items I wanted done. Phil gave me an estimate on the spot of the costs. His pricing was fair and very reasonable. He completed the job the same day. Phil was pleasant and answered my questions and concerns.

Phil was second to quote. He found a way to save me considerable money compared to my other quote. Phil knows his stuff and is careful, considerate and quite friendly. It was his careful analysis and probing discussion which allowed Phil to determine I did not need additional amperage and thus save me money. I even ventured and let Phil do some work by the hour. His charges were very reasonable and fair.

Called on a Tuesday -- he arranged to come out on Friday -- gave me a quote which was very reasonable and agreed to stay and perform the work. Very experienced and friendly -- no issues -- the work was performed carefully and everything looked good. He also showed me why a lot of my switches were failing. Overall a great experience -- extremely pleasant -- the owner, Philip does the work himself. Very reasonable pricing -- no pressure -- he will add or delete tasks as requested.

Came and gave us an estimate, then called later and explained that if we pre-ordered the parts from our local big box store, it would have all the components we needed and it would save us about $100 off the price he had quoted us. We did that and when it was delivered he came over and did the work. He was very helpful with recommendations on what we should include in the emergency wiring and worked very efficiently. He also said to be sure and call him if there was any issue when the system was tested by an outage--part of his service included making sure it worked well, and we understood how to use it.

He did a great job and I would certainly use his company again for any electrical problem.

Where would I be without Angie's List? This is the best thing for people like me to have available. My husband died 3 months ago and I am now incharge of everything. Angie without your list who would I have turned to, to find honest, reliable, and affordable people? This morning was the last straw for me. I was packing to leave town and decided to cut my hair. I plugged in the clippers and there was no power. I tried the other plug in the guest bathroom and it was not working either. It finally clicked in my head why my freezer had shut down two days ago and all of my meat had to be tossed. These three plugs are connected. In a panic I was wondering what to do and who to call. Again Angie's list to the rescue. I called Soma Electric and talked to Phillip Soma and asked him if he could help me. He told me he would be at my house in 2 hours. Within that time he was here and checking my breakerbox. He was very thorough in checking each circuit. He found the right one and put in a new GFCI Receptacle. Now I am back to packing and off to see my grandbabies.

Contacted Phil based on Angie's List reviews- he came out and looked over what we wanted done and soon after gave us an estimate - we gave the go ahead and soon after he did the work - At all times Phil was friendly cooperative and efficient-He always made sure we knew what he was going to do- communication was excellent - several days later we had him return for a smaller wiring job with the same results

We were extremly pleased with the work and the price charged. Phil spent the time to figure out our problem and charged a very fair price. I would recomend him to anybody looking to have some electrical jobs done....OUTSTANDING SERVICE!

Phil responded promptly to my e-mail and we later set up an appt by phone. After explaining the problem and troubleshooting he replaced a faulty breaker in the main panel. I found Phil to be personable and professional and would use him again.

Yes we'd definately use him again and refer others. Phil was very very responsive and honest. We thought we had a major problem but it turned out to be minor and he told us so, rather than just going for the $. He could have soaked us as we are out of state owners of a rental.
