Howard, the owner came out on time, gave us an estimate that was agreeable to us. He kept his word & did all work to our satisfaction. Love our new bathroom.

The whole process went great! We purchased an Angie's list deal which was honored as stated. Response from the company was prompt, appointments for measurement and installation were on time and efficient, and the final product looks wonderful. We were offered an upgrade on the glass which we declined, but were glad to be offered the information.

It went very well. We wanted to make a change in between but they were very accommodating and very easy to work with.

Overall, it went very well and we are very happy with our new shower. It took a bit longer than expected due to some design issues that were discovered during the remodeling process but they worked with us to expedite our request to get it done as quickly as possible. Now for the details. Demo was handled quickly within 2 days and the shower pan was installed quickly as well. The shower fixture installation start time took a bit longer than expected but was done within a day or two. There was a bit of a gap between the time the fixtures were installed and the start of installing the tile but they finished installing the majority of the tile in about a week. Then we had a design issue occur concerning the threshold and the shower seat. Ryan realized that we would have unfinished edges showing with our plan to just tile the threshold and seat so we had to order a custom marble seat and threshold. That put things at a standstill for about a week until the threshold could be completed. Tom at Granite Creations did a great job rushing my request for the threshold. We got the threshold in place so they could measure for the glass. They kept saying that all the tile had to be in place before the glass could be measured but it wasn't fully installed. We got the glass about a week and a half later and they had changed the tile layout which caused an issue with the glass and the threshold which was notched for a tile that was not there when they measured for the glass. It ended up being a minor issue and they were able to work around it. Then Granite Creations came in and measured for the shower seat and Howard at Designs in Glass went the extra mile to expedite what would have been a 3-4 week wait for the marble seat to about a week. The seat was cut perfectly to fit the glass and it was beautiful. All in all, Designs in Glass did a wonderful job with the work. They were responsive to our requests and provided status updates any time we asked for them.

I got 3 bids on my glass door install and saw that Designs In Glass had a Angie's List promo so I had them come out as my final bid. They were the only company to send someone out to measure, as opposed to the other companies that gave me a price over the phone based on my measurements. They got back to me with price the same day they measured and were able to honor the promo price. They were back within a week with my glass and did a flawless job. My install only took an hour. They answered my questions and were very friendly. I was happy with my results. I recommend Designs In Glass for any glass door needs.

We were looking to have our master bathroom completely remodeled and after having 3 contractors visit us we decided to give Howard a call because of his great reviews. I was impressed at how quickly he reached out to me after sending him an e-mail through Angie?s List. Howard came out in late December last year for our first visit. He looked over the bathroom and we explained exactly what we were considering. We wanted to tear out the old shower stall and replace it with a storage unit / tear out the jetted hot tub and add one big shower in it?s place / install new toilet / tear out and install new vanity. He told us the price would depend on the choices we made in cabinetry, hardware, etc. He asked what we expected to pay and I was hesitant to give out the number, I was more interested in what he could do it for. He seemed like a straight shooter and with his great reviews I felt like I had finally found the guy for the job so I told him we wanted to spend $20,000 and would not spend any more than $25,000. Without hesitation he said, "Oh we can definitely do a big shower with two shower heads and a bench, and you?ll certainly want to do a heated floor as well because they are great and have become so inexpensive. With your budget, you would be crazy not to add the heated floor. He was leaving for his winter break so we agreed we would shop for accessories over the winter and then he would come out and give us a detailed quote and all the numbers would be laid out so we can pick and choose what we want or don?t want. He even gave us guidelines about picking out tile to stay within our budget. Stick to about $5 to $6 per square foot for the tile. We felt like we finally found our guy and we're excited, so we stopped hunting for contractors. We picked out our tile for the bathroom floor, shower floor, and shower walls. The tile for the walls and bathroom floor were $4.99 per sq ft. We splurged on some marble tile for the shower floor which was 16.99 per sq. ft., but the shower floor was only 30 sq. ft. out of a total of 320 sq. ft. of tile. I figured the worst thing that could happen is pick out a cheaper tile after seeing it itemized in the quote. I contacted Howard in late February this year to let him know we picked out the tiles and that we were ready to begin moving forward with other selections. This was his response?. ?Please forward me address an any ballpark estimates we discussed.? I replied with the information requested. He replied back? ?I will call tomorrow arrange Marsha I need to come back at house been too long to remember renovation ideas! We set up a time and he came out again. He kept asking when he was here last because he doesn't remember any of it. I thought that when he walked into the bathroom it would come back to him. He asked about our budget again and again I told him around 20 not to exceed 25. ?Well then you better not do the heated floor and I see some marble tile over there so it's going to depend on the numbers so get everything picked out and then I'll get you a quote for you to review. Later Howard contacted us by email and said to contact the person at Fergusons to pick out all the plumbing fixtures and that there would be a lady calling us to help us with our cabinet selections. My wife went to Fergusons and met with the person about the cabinets and picked everything, she didn't pick anything extravagant out, the most basic items she could find. She picked out three different kinds of storage closets and asked that the lady sends her a price for each of them. Instead she sent us three drawings with no price. My wife specifically called her back and said please I want to see the price of each of these so I can pick because the whole idea is that we're going to have a list of items and will be able to pick and choose so we get can get to the our ideal price. Interesting that she never got back with my wife but then Howard called and said ?now that we have some choices let's meet in person, so we set up a date and time.? That date and time was 1 o'clock this past Friday and here's how it went.. We sat down at our kitchen table and chatted about the stock market and weather while my wife was finishing up a business call. When she joined us he started off by saying, ?Well the numbers don't lie? I could've just called you on the phone to give you this but I want to sit down with you in person?. He placed a piece of paper on the table with a bunch of handwritten notes and numbers with one big number circled, $36,000. He explained the biggest problem was the Marble tile. There was no line items to show the tile cost. I asked him how much the tiles accounted for and he said he didn't have that number and of course it was not on his handwritten sheet. I was very perplexed and again I asked well why didn't you bring those prices or write them down here if they were so big especially when that was the whole purpose of this meeting? He said you'll get numbers later and his excuse for not including them is that he was up until 430 in the morning working on this and just completely forgot. Next he said there was a large amount of plumbing work, and then he said his guys would have to be here for 3 weeks, etc. My wife spent some time with him going through the different items. There were numbers but none were labeled so we had to ask him what each number was about. It seemed as if he just threw a few numbers together and came up with the $36,000 and wanted to come out and feel us out. By this time I had left the room to return to my work and my wife finished up with him and then Howard said he would get the additional information that we needed. Howard was very polite and kept his composure throughout the meeting and stuck to his story but I think he was a bit disingenuous throughout the process, and I felt very insulted by the way the quote was presented after all of our conversations. Certainly after all the time invested by both parties I expected more than some numbers scribbled on a sheet of paper, and that they didn?t even add up to the final cost of the job. We are also greatly disappointed because we thought we had found the guy that we could trust to give us the bathroom we had been hoping for.

Howard came to measure. He was respectful, informative and gave competitive recommendations. They quoted the best pricing. Install was done by his son, Ken. He was professional, prompt and quick.

The owner, Howard Emmer, is extremely organized. He and his crew had the job in two days. They are skilled and professional! Everything is done well and works. We needed it done fast as this is a business.

I called Designs in Glass to get some information on a custom shower door as the opening in my shower was not standard. I was given alot of information over the phone which was great because it allowed me the time to look online at the product to see what I would be getting. It took about a month after that until I was ready for them to come out and measure and when I called to schedule an appt for them I dealt with the same person that I had earlier which was nice since I didn't have to go over my specifications again. The appt was set and Ken showed up on time and took the measurements. He told me it would take about a week and that is what it took. The shower door was installed yesterday and is as I ordered it. It is a very nice quality door and looks great. I needed a custom sized door for my shower and this is perfect and a great price which included installation. The installation went smoothly and the installers did a great job. I would recommend them for sure.

it was a very good experience. Howard was on top of the project all the way through. He was on site every day a craftsman was on site, just checking to see how all was going and if I had any questions. He made suggestions that were very helpful as I was making decisions. He met with me at the tile shop and together we perused options along with the salesman. Howard offered great suggestions regarding plumbing fixtures. His team of professional craftsmen were great.

Ken Sr. came out and did a thorough measurement of the space that we wanted the glass installed. He really took his time to check for squareness of walls, true dimensions of the area, etc. An earlier estimate from a different company came out and did a very basic measurement - I don't doubt that the measurement was accurate, but the extra detail that Ken went through just made me feel more confident that he was collecting ALL of the information he needed. He was very knowledgeable in his description of what they would do. The other company's estimator started off by offering me what turned out to be the most expensive features such as low iron glass - something I didn't realize how expensive it was until I received the written estimate. Ken offered me what he thought I would like, even going out of his way to offer things with the caveat that they aren't really that necessary for a good looking final result. I have no problem with a business trying to sell the highest end materials, but the client should be made aware of cost/quality differences to make an informed decision. Ken was great in that regard. The installation went perfect, the installers were professional, courteous, and cleaned up after their work. End result - a great looking shower glass installation, and a happy customer.

Great overall experience. They came out and installed two Euro doors for my master bath and spare bathroom. Spoke with Ken who came to my house to do the initial consultation. Ken was very professional and pleasant to work with. It took about a week for them to make the custom glass and two younger guys came out to install the doors. Both young men that did the installation were very professional and clearly knew what they were doing. They even insisted on taking their shoes off even after I told them it wasn't necessary. I will keep them in mind for any future projects.

The experience was wonderful. The provider was very professional, made sure all of our concerns were addressed. We were very impressed with the workmanship. I wanted a quote for a new European shower door for my master bath. I contacted designs in glass and they sent a guy out the same day to measure. Once I placed the order it took less than 2 weeks to have the work completed. I was impressed on the service from their crew from start to finish.

The remodeling went very well, The workers (Bob & Ryan) were here at the time specified, were very professional, made sure all carpet was covered and cleaned up after each day. They explained what was going to be done and how long it would take. the contractor(Howard) worked with us and made susgestions on what might look good. We were a little concerned about the floor, which was an overlay, but in the end it came out looking great. The whole job on a scale of 1 - 10 we would give it a big 10

I had a custom euro door installed in my master bathroom. I am just finishing building a new home. This was the last piece of the puzzle. The whole process took about a week or so. We went with a polished chrome towel bar on both the inside and outside of the door. We also decided to go with the shower guard. Both Howard Emmer and the installer were extremely helpful and polite. They showed up on time and the door looks great! The one wall of our was built incorrectly. It slants, making the opening larger at the top than the bottom. Even with this problem, they were able to cut the glass so it looks perfect! I highly recommend this company if you want a great product, provided by honest professionals. Thanks again!

Both projects required tearing down walls and completely gutting the spaces. The finished products were just what we asked for. The contractor was always professional and responded to our concerns and questions. Howard, Bob and Ryan were always professional and kept us informed.

They stated that the glass door is coated to repel dirt. The door is high quality that may not be available in some home improvement stores. The price seems high but the quality is great. They said that if anything goes wrong I can call them. They were 15 minutes early, were very business-like, and answered all my questions.

Excellent! Immediately came out and gave an estimate which was much less than the lowest quote and delivered within 1 week . Other stores told me 4,5 even 7 weeks.

Howard Emmer was very approachable and professional. He was prompt in returning phone calls and sent out a tech the next day to do the measurement. They did not take any advance payment, but ordered the glass and then came in as promised to install the glass. Ken who installed the shower glass panels and doors was friendly and professional. He got done with the installation within an hour and did a clean job, without any damage to property or the glass panels and doors.These glass panels are heavy. We love the glass and would readily recommend Designs-In-Glass to our friends and neighbors.

This is our second experience with Designs In Glass. The first was a basement shower euro glass enclosure. This time it was a full length mirror and tub glass enclosure. Howard and his team were extremely professional and prompt. The installer came out to measure and he was extremely precision in his measurements to ensure squareness to the walls (and our walls were not square!). In both our experiences, Designs in Glass exceeded our expectations. They came out for the install as promised and the installations were perfect.
