SPECIALTY KITCHEN AND BATH REMODELING

Description of Work: I paid $50.00 for consultation to help design my kitchen which was originally priced for $150.00. Howard came to my home, showed me some pictures of kitchens his company did and said his kitchen cabinet guy would contact us the next week. Weeks went by, so I called Howard to ask where his kitchen guy was and he told me he was sorry, his mother was sick and he would get his kitchen guy to come to our home. The kitchen guy came, took some measurements, and weeks later I got some drawings emailed to me. Not impressed. Any computer program could have done the same thing. Howard told me he would email me the quote the cost to remodel the kitchen which I still haven't got.I don't plan on using his services due to the terrible customer service we have recieved. I sure wish he would refund the $50.00 because we did not get what we paid for.

Description of Work: They installed Euro style glass shower door, about 40 inches wide, 72 inches high. They came and measured within a couple days of calling and had it installed 2-3 weeks later. They were ready to install sooner, but my schedule made them wait. No payment due until install was completed. Very professional and would use them again.

Description of Work: Said they, whoever they is, we're supposed to have pulled the offer I was inquiring about. Owner said he would take care of me then salesman said owner said job was too small...backsplash coverage was less than 40 square feet.

Description of Work: I asked them to quote a kitchen based on their ad for an inexpensive remodel. I spoke to them on the phone and sent them pictures of the cabinet and they never called back.

Description of Work: Hello Christopher, Thank you for your reply. I still would like my money refunded for reasons I will detail. I do not know where you are from or how much you know about Detroit or its metropolitan area. I thought I knew a lot having grown up here. However, I have recently run into a problem with contractors and other providers whose service areas do not include Detroit for a variety of reasons that I find problematic. I'll spare you my editorializing on that. Nonetheless, in terms of communication that I have had with the business in question, the owner wrote to me saying that my house is out of his service area--Detroit--and that he would be contacting you to find another provider. That has not happened. It is interesting to point out on his profile that states: "We have a 75 mile service area from our Birmingham office." Detroit is way less than 75 miles from Birmingham MI. In fact, this business is 12 miles from my house. I say all this to say, Angie's list really needs to scrutinize and research the business practices engaged in by vendors who purport provide service in the tri-county area: Macomb, Oakland and Wayne(Detroit is a part of and county seat), but whose service really stops at and extends away from Detroit. Description of Work: My bathroom was completely gutted and redone, studs out. It turned out incredibly beautiful. I received compliments all of the time on how beautiful the bathroom is. When the work was being done, Bob had to reseat the toilet every night because it is our only bathroom. This was done and they even put plastic on the shower sheet so I could use the shower while we were waiting for the granite. Howard (owner) is great to work with and makes great suggestions for colors and surfaces. Job only took 3 weeks start to finish and the bathroom was somewhat (toilet first then shower) useable the entire time.
