We had this home built in 2007. Ducts were allegedly cleaned after we moved in that summer. Don't recall who did the cleaning (?). We have a ranch with a walkout basement, central air & central vac. Have been cleaning furnace filters 2 to 3 times a year. Keep windows closed on dry, breezy days. Have two short hair, indoor cats that get groomed outside in warm weather & hair carefully collected & discarded in inclement weather. Even with all that I would dust in the AM & by the PM the house needed to be dusted again. I had been seeing a lot of ads for duct cleaning & thought perhaps dirty ducts were the problem. Left a specific, clear message with one service, that advertises on TV. They never returned my call. Joined Angie's List just to read reviews. Called Duct Works based on reviews, Eco-Friendly Accreditation & pricing. Got a prompt call back from Duct Works owner & was assured they would verify cost prior to starting the job, that their vacuum was the most powerful available, that their business came from referrals & what I did & didn't have to do prior to the appointment. Duct Works called before arriving on time, checked & counted vents on both levels, verified the cost, explained what would be done & how it would be done, protected the floors & woodwork, put a tarp over the front door opening, removed all the duct & cold air return vent coverings & cleaned them as well. I could hear the debris as it was being sucked out of the house. The technician was professional, friendly, courteous & efficient. He confirmed that he did remove building material & dry wall debris along with dirt & cat hair. There was an immediate, noticeable improvement in the house air quality. I've dusted once in the past week.! Money well spent!

From the time I contacted Air Ducts Work, the owner complimented me on getting this job done after an extensive Renovation. He was available soon after I called. He called to comfirm the appointment date and time. Even though I was unable to be at the worksite, he worked well with my contractor. A great job.

Duct Works Air Duct & Dryer Vent Cleaning did a good job. The ducts were clean when they left and I didn't see dust blowing through the house afterwards, which leads me to believe the insides are clean, as well. He picked up whatever mess he made. He came when he said he was going to come. He was professional.

Jim was quick to call back and get the job scheduled. They showed up right on time and completed the job in a very professional manner. There was an area that the last company that did a cleaning for us skipped. They went the extra mile to make sure they got the area completely. They cleaned up any kind of mess, if I wasn't home I would have had to look hard to see if they were even there. The air quality in the house has been great since. I have recommended this company to several friends since then. I would highly recommend using them.

What a GREAT experience! As a service provider Duct Works Air Duct and Dryer Vent Cleaning, was everything one would hope to get when contracting for a service. -Jim Koster, the owner/operator of Duct Works Air Duct and Dryer Vent Cleaning promptly returned the phone call, scheduled the appointment, and arrived exactly when he said he would. In the phone call, he provided thorough information about price, process, and time involved. -On site, Jim explained the process clearly and answered each and every question in a polite, articulate, and patient manner. Prior to beginning the work, Jim carefully examined the house and made certain that I had a service agreement and understood what was being done and what the final cost would be. It was exactly as he had quoted over the phone. -He and his assistant were careful entering the house with their equipment, wore booties over their shoes to protect floors, put down drop clothes in the event of any dust/dirt, and went right to work. When they were finished you couldn't tell anyone had been here. Clean as a whistle. -I was completely satisfied with the work done and the price was excellent. Very professional, didn't muddy up our house (he & his colleague wore baggies over their feet). He asked me many questions to clarify the work; he explained the work in great detail. He was upfront, professional, quick - thorough (he showed me what was in the ducts). I was extremely pleased with his service and work - the price was higher than I expected but worth it.

Jim and Ryan kept the work areas clean while they worked, laying down drop cloths where needed. Jim and I walked through the house prior to beginning the work, in order to count all of the vents. They thoroughly cleaned each vent and connecting ducts. They cleaned out the furnace, and replaced the air filter that I had on hand. The dryer vent and duct work was cleaned out. I was very pleased with the work that was performed. This house is 8 years old and this is the first time the duct work and dryer vent have been cleaned. Very professional.

A great experience. They cleaned all the duct work in my new home -- which apparently had not been cleaned in years, advised me about a furnace filter problem, then cleaned out the dryer vent where they removed a bird's nest and dead bird! Great to work with. Would definitely chose again!

We were having new furnace and A/C installed so we really wanted to have the ducts cleaned out before everything was setup since it had been several years and we have continued to have a lot of dust flying around. I sent emails to three companies listed on Angies list to obtain estimates to have the ducts cleaned out. I was happy to find out that they did dryer vent cleaning as well since we've never had it done it and knew we needed to. I received a quick email response to my inquiry indicating to call the owner/operator (Jim) on his cell number. I then spoke with Jim who was on the road, but pulled over to get my info. and get appointment setup. I originally planned to contact others for estimates, but was very comfortable after talking with Jim that I decided to just go with him. They were very accomodating for date/time and there right on time! A quick tour and he and his helper were off to work! They did just what they had planned/promised and no surprises. We had our ducts cleaned several years ago (or thought we did) but were surprised to learn not the case as Jim was trying to find the access point so he could reuse it rather than creating new opening in the ductwork - but that's a whole other story. This time we know it was done and done right! We were very pleased with our experience and to know it was done right! Jim and his crew were very pleasant, polite and accomodating. I would highly recommend them - we will definitely use them again when the time comes!

Jim was extremely professional and very respectful of our property. He was was punctual and left my house very clean. I was slightly apprehensive about having the service done but after the work in our lower level, it seemed like a necessary service. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and this was an enjoyable experience. I would definitely hire him again.

First, I had called around to other providers. I found their need to give an in person estimate versus having structured pricing a waste of time I did not have. It would have meant having to be home two afternoons instead of just one. Difficult for those who work during the day. Then I called Jim. He is a local owner operator. One plus right there. Unlike the coporate names that furnish this service, Jim actually understand customer service, from scheduling to cleaning the ducts, working around other contractors and finally following up to make sure you are satisfied. We will not be using anyone else again, only Jim. It was a pleasure and we are truly grateful for the quality of his work. We are healthier for it.

When I called Jim to get a price he walked me through everything and how important it is to have a truck mounted system clean the ducts. I appreciated having this all explained to me. When I booked the appointment he also explained exactly what he would need for me to do before he arrived. On the day of the service there were some scheduling problems on our end and he handled them very professionally and gracefully. When he arrived he walked through the house and double checked what we had discussed on the phone and gave me a written bid/receipt. He did an excellent job and we will recommend him to all our friends!

I called Jim Koster at Duct Works and left a message for an estimate. He returned my call the next day and was willing to come out later in the same day. That did not work for me, however, so we set up an appointment for the following Tuesday. On Monday, he called and said he could come the same afternoon, so we moved the appointment and he pretty much came right over. We have lived in our condo almost two years and find our dryer efficiency, which came with the sale of our condo, diminished of late, so we wanted to check first to see if our very long vent duct was clear before pursuing the next option of dryer repair or replacement. The whole process of clearing out the vent took only about 15 minutes and we learned that we did not have duct blockage. Even if we now get a new dryer, we can be confident that the duct is clear and we were charged the minimum rate of $75.00. (That amount still seems significant to me for such a quick job, but, to be fair, I can't get anyone over to my home any more for any kind of service for less than that.) Jim Koster is very nice and we are glad to do business locally.

He was very nice, called when he was coming, apologized for being 5 minutes late, as he had a phone call. Put booties on his shoes when he checked out the dryer. He then cleaned it out, gave me a good price as it was a long vent and very dirty. It is great, my clothes are now drying in half the time!
