Duct Works Air Duct & Dryer Vent Cleaning

After moving into an older home, heating serviceman found the air ducts to extremely dirty. Contacted Jim at Duct Works concerning cleaning the air ducts and dryer vent. He returned my call promptly and was able to schedule the job within 4 days. Explained pricing and how his cleaning differs from other services. Answered all my questions completely. After inspecting the duct system, Jim showed me where the ducts had been revised and where one large air return duct was not connected. If he had not done a thorough inspection and just started cleaning he would have blown all the dirt in that duct all over the basement. He modified how the disconnected duct was cleaned and cleaned up the small amount of dirt that came out. Jim spent extra time making sure the job was done correctly and completely. I have used 2 other highly rated services previously. After seeing the excellent quality of work and the commitment to making sure the job is done properly, I will be contacting Duct Works and no one else to clean the air ducts at this and my other properties.

Jim and his assistant showed up on time as usual, went to work and got the job done thoroughly with no issues. He explained where I had questions and made sure that I understood. This was the first cleaning of this home in 35 years and I'm confident the job is done right. I've used his services in my rental property and in this case insisted that my builder use him only. Duct Works was very courteous, especially compared to their competition. They provided an accurate over the phone quote, but explained how it could differ when they arrived (it didn't). They were on time and focused on completing their job. They cleaned up after themselves. Job was performed to my satisfaction.

Process took a bit longer than expected (just over 3 hours total), but that was because he was doing a very thorough job. He also was very meticulous about cleaning up after himself. After the cleaning was complete, he ran both the heat and air conditioning to make sure everything was correct.

The team was on time and very friendly. I was moving in the next day and had lots of people in the home. They just moved around everyone very efficiently and got the job done in a timely manner. I like how you know exactly what you are paying for and there are NO hidden fees. They got 2 dead mice out (eew) and my ducts are like brand new. I would definitely use their services again!

They had drop cloths and kept things very clean and tidy despite the mounds of snow outside. They provided an estimate over the phone based on the square footage of the house, and it was actually cheaper than the estimate. They did a great job. We had our ducts cleaned after a remodel and they were dirty! Jim was very professional and conscientious about doing a good job. He even shoveled a path to the lower level to take his equipment in so he didn't have to use my brand new stairs. What a company! The owner answered my call, set up an appointment quickly and followed through. He even came to our house and worked on cleaning our ducts. He showed us a picture of how bad they were (I don't think anyone had ever cleaned them out before) What a difference it made! We could breathe! Also cleans carpets, think I will have him back for that. All dust and debris, dirty carpet solution directly out of my house and vacuumed directly into his truck! Yay!!!

Very thorough; done within 2 hrs. Answered questions regarding how would be done and how to remove duct cover in bathroom. Amazingly clean--thought I'd have to do a lot of vacuuming, but not so.

If you're like me, your spring cleaning list just keeps growing. One of the items I had been putting off was air duct cleaning. Unpopular, unsightly, and rather boring, it's a job that had to be done nonetheless. Jim from Duct Works did a great job on my air ducts in my rental home, making the entire process stress free. My initial call to Jim was just for a quote and to answer a few questions and although I called a few more places for quotes, it's Jim's honesty and straight-forwardness that made me want to use him for the job. He's the owner/operator of DuctWorks and I liked knowing that the person I was talking with on the phone would be the person who would show up for the job. Lucky for me, Jim had an opening the following day and we were able to knock the job out before the weekend. Although I wasn't present for the actual cleaning, my tenant said that Jim was friendly and did the job efficiently and quickly. I followed up with a phone call to Jim to see if there was any issues and thankfully there weren't any (whew! No dead animals in the ducts. Always a relief) A few things I learned from calling around about duct cleaning is that some of the national chains won't do an older home where they suspect or are unsure of asepsis around the ducts. DuctWorks took every precaution in working with my older home that the other, larger chains passed on. Also, DuctWorks uses a truck instead of the handheld vacs ensuring that the dust and particles are removed safely and quickly without re-emitting anything into the air. The prices are reasonable for duct work cleaning and given that it was a long time coming for my house, it was well worth it. I've already recommended him to home owners for their home maintenance.
