Description of Work: Alan and his assistant Paul, did a wonderful job of installing a ceiling fan, light fixture (which needed requiring), and range hood in our kitchen. They were prompt in arriving, & worked very efficiently together. We'd bought a 2 hour deal from Angie's List, but knew we would need more time. Alan graciously charged us the same hourly rate for the additional work. The last item we needed (unplanned at the time we initially contacted him) was to track down the source of a partially dead circuit. This was dealt with very quickly, and was an easy and inexpensive fix. We didn't know beforehand that Alan wouldn't be able/willing to vent the hood, which was disappointing, but we hadn't asked. We've since found someone to take care of that. We would be happy to have Alan & Paul do more work if needed. "

Description of Work: I used this service in part due to an offer through Angie's List. I had them install several lights and give me advice on putting a heating light in to the bathroom. They were running a little late but they called me well in advance to talk about that. When I asked if they could come at 1 instead, they were more than willing. They were on time, professional, courteous. Although they ran over the 2 hour limit by 20 minutes, they did not charge me extra. When they advised me against the heating light, they offered to go out and get a regular fan at the local hardware store and did so. They cleaned up their work areas, offered to take the old fixtures and boxes with them, and generally left the place as good as when they arrived (and much brighter too). I would definitely hire them again.

Description of Work: Alan and his son (I didn't get his name) installed new outlets involving wiring and running HDMI cables thru studs in order to mount our new flat screen TV above the fireplace. They also ran a cable line up from the basement. Our walls are plaster- more difficult to work with than dry wall, at least in my limited experience. I also didn't yet have the TV or wall mount wanting to make sure that the wiring was ready once we got the TV; this of course meant that we had to use the published dimensions to determine where the outlet and cable installs needed to be in relation to the TV. | |Both Alan and his son were personable and made good suggestions on some matters I hadn't thought of, for which I was grateful; the suggestions resulted in a cleaner look (no unsightly cables running from the TV to the cable box and blu ray player). | |I bought the Angie's list $99 coupon for two men completing one hour's work. Description of Work: replaced a carport motion detector light. Perfect. | |switched the controls on a bedroom ceiling fan/light combination so the wall switch controlled the light, not the fan. Perfect.

Description of Work: Traced and corrected a short in electric circuit, restoring electricity to my basement. Replaced a broken light fixture, several electric box covers, and placed a new box to cover exposed wires. They were professional, prompt, and efficient.

Description of Work: Called to have a ceiling fan and a light fixture switched out, and 3 hard-wired smoke/carbon monoxide detectors replaced. They were able to come the day after I called, quick, efficient, very nice, and I was truly surprised at how low the bill was. I Will only use them in the future.
