This is by far the safest way to ship. Our interstate rates are per 24ft moving van that holds up to 8,500lbs or 1400CuFt. Some customers require one truck and some require more. One truck holds the average 1800SqFt.
"J.J and his crew were amazing!!! They took their time and did not rush the job. They showed up with all of their supplies and took care of wrapping and moving high end furniture that my wife and I have spent 3 decades collecting. I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you !"

We are a family-owned and operated interstate moving company equipped to relocate your home both across the state and across the country, ensuring prompt delivery. Our team of skilled professionals is committed to providing high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service to guarantee client satisfaction.
"There was a bait and switch. Provided project details with very specific information. David quoted me total move for the day as $1500 to include the packing on the home. Movers arrived at 7:30 am (no call day prior to discuss). The actual movers didn’t know details and were nice guys but stated that the local move (no furniture) of 6 miles would cost $4600 instead of the $1500 quoted (3x the price). They just moved a total of 300 cubic feet (I have no idea what 300 cubic feet is with regards to moving) and said they couldn’t move anything more. So I paid $1500 to move about 25 boxes and 2.5 hours of work for 3 people. I’m going to be notifying the business regulator for their state as well as the BBB. I’m appalled that I now have to rent a truck and hire additional movers to finish the work. There goes my day off with the family. I don’t trust using Angi’s list after this experience."

"The day after Thanksgiving my older sister died and since I was her only living relative I was tasked with emptying her apartment of all of her belongings. Because it was close to the end of the month and her rent would be due again if I didn't have everything out in time I didn't have time to make trip after trip on my own between Brewer and Orland where I would be storing her furniture and many of her other belongings even if I could have managed it. A friend called around for me to try to find a company who could accommodate my tight schedule. She found Ron's Moving in the next town over, Holden, and not only could they accommodate my schedule but they were also willing to move the furniture "fully loaded". I didn't have to empty out her two (huge) bureaus, her crammed-full solid oak roll-top desk or any of her other cabinets and chests, etc. And believe me they were all very FULL. That definitely took a load off of my mind as I had been frantically trying to empty and pack up her open shelves, tables and walls containing a lifetime's worth of decorative pieces, collections, art work, books, and other special objects that had been promised to various friends. I hadn't even had time to think about emptying everything that that was going to be moved with the furniture. When I found out I wouldn't have to do that I could have cried. Actually since my only sister had just died I'm pretty sure I did. The morning they were scheduled to do the move three very polite strapping young men arrived right on time and all ready to work. Cody, Chris, and Justin introduced themselves and offered me their condolences and were so very kind and considerate of me the whole time they were there. True to their word they moved each furniture piece without my having to remove anything. Even the armoire that my sister had so full of thick sweaters that when they moved it away from the wall the back started to come off! They took this in stride using a moving blanket and some straps that they had brought with them to make sure the back wouldn't come off after they had tapped the nails back in for me. I'm not kidding when I say these guys were seriously strong! These would have been really heavy pieces even if they had been empty. My sister loved oak furniture and oak is a very dense heavy wood. But they were great with it all. So careful with each piece even as heavy as they were. And much of the time also carrying on a conversation with me. I think they'd noticed how hard this all was for me seeing things go out the door, my sister being gone, at the same time trying to find a home for her now orphaned cat, just all of the stress involved with losing my sister along with the stress of this move. But they were just so kind to me. And before they left they even checked to see if there was anything I needed help with. That was great because there were some very large, framed art prints that were too high up on the wall for me to reach and I was trying to figure out how I was going to get something tall enough to stand on to get them down, afraid I'd drop them while doing so as they were quite heavy. I'd no sooner gotten the words out of my mouth when all three pieces were off the wall and leaned carefully in the corner ready to be picked up by the friend to whom they'd been left. I would highly recommend the crew at Ron's Moving - including Nick in the office whom I'd called to get scheduled and whom I'd called again when they were done so we could take care of my payment. They were all very professional. They were polite and kind and friendly. And helpful. And very efficient. You could tell that they knew what they were doing and worked well as a team. When they said they were finished I couldn't believe all that they had done in the amount of time they were there. Even while talking with me they were still doing what they'd come there to do and didn't miss a beat. Each of them had a part in making this very stressful, very sad time easier for me. At some point someone even made me laugh. I call that a win! Hire these guys. They're worth it and then some!"

Before your piano movers arrive, it’s a good idea to prep the piano for its journey to avoid damage, as well as clear a path to make the move as easy as possible. You can start by using bubble wrap and moving blankets to protect the keys, lids, and pedals. Drape moving blankets over the piano and secure them, if possible, to protect the surface from damage. Next, clear furniture and other obstructions out of the path from the piano to the door. It’s also wise to maintain a close spot for the moving truck to park out front.
Yes, it is absolutely worth it to hire piano movers. Pianos are heavy and bulky, which makes them very challenging to move safely and without causing damage to the piano and your home. Hiring piano movers is especially worthwhile if you need to move the instrument up or down staircases, as that can put you and your helpers at risk of serious injury. Overall, the price you’ll pay to hire a professional piano mover pales in comparison to the damage you could do to your piano or your home if you attempt the move yourself.
It is not necessary to tip piano movers, and workers from reputable companies generally won’t expect tips. However, if you’re pleased with the service and the movers are friendly and respectful, tipping can show your appreciation for how well the crew cared for what is likely a very expensive instrument. Tipping between $20 and $40 per mover is about average.
It is certainly possible to move a piano without hiring movers, but it’s not recommended. Not only will you need at least four people to lift and maneuver the piano, but getting it around tight corners and down flights of stairs might not be possible without the help of movers. Plus, pianos are exceptionally heavy and bulky, which means you and any helping hands are at risk of injury, as well as an increased risk of damaging your piano. Ultimately, it’s always worth it to call in a professional piano mover.
The average cost to move a piano is around $400, but your total will depend on the type of piano and your living situation—tight corners and flights of stairs will complicate the move. Moving an upright piano will be more affordable—around $250—and a full grand piano will cost closer to $550. Long-distance moves will bump all of these prices up and sometimes double them if the move is across state lines.
