FAMILY MOVING LLC

There was a bait and switch. Provided project details with very specific information. David quoted me total move for the day as $1500 to include the packing on the home. Movers arrived at 7:30 am (no call day prior to discuss). The actual movers didn’t know details and were nice guys but stated that the local move (no furniture) of 6 miles would cost $4600 instead of the $1500 quoted (3x the price). They just moved a total of 300 cubic feet (I have no idea what 300 cubic feet is with regards to moving) and said they couldn’t move anything more. So I paid $1500 to move about 25 boxes and 2.5 hours of work for 3 people. I’m going to be notifying the business regulator for their state as well as the BBB. I’m appalled that I now have to rent a truck and hire additional movers to finish the work. There goes my day off with the family. I don’t trust using Angi’s list after this experience.

This was my first time using a moving company. They were very professional. They kept in touch with me throughout the entire process. My belongings came in the time frame that was told. The delivery guy was great and moved my stuff into my storage unit. Price was more than i expected but the overall service and job was great. Highly recommended. They get the job done and try to make it as easy as possible for you.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Family Moving LLC for my relocation, and I can’t praise them enough. From the initial consultation to the final delivery, the entire experience was outstanding. The movers were punctual and worked efficiently, ensuring that all my belongings were carefully packed and transported. It all started with the phone call to Family Moving LLC MS. All and I talked very nice lady I explained how I was getting high quotes that they just moved from Tampa Fla to Highland NY for 2,000 she said oh I'll help you ill get you discounts what do you need to move a 1 bedroom but it already packed and in a storage unit oh good 3 men the other place no more then 30 mins away .. I questioned her many times why am I being charged 5 hours the stuff is packed its in a STORAGE UNIT your right I have an email from her that says you only pay for the time they are here OK everything set called June 13 checked in set up our pick up time 10 am June 15 2024 . We had no problems with your movers they worked very hard this is not there fault ... then the bill came I stop breathing now the amount was 1,040 I didn't have my glasses when to window oh my good its right I'm looking at stuff then I start question him about travel time , paying for 5 hours when it's was 2 paying for stairs , gas, bill made no sense then having to run around to get the money cause they fail to tell me no credit cards today 6/17/24 I spent over 3 .5 hours with them first she said they didn't move me , then she found me , then had to get paper from wear house that was 2x then all of a sudden she remembered she was the one I talked with first I got mad cause the way she paid me dirty , then I just cry and cry I trusted her she said the deposit might be good or maybe a little more she was to return my called 2x she didn't I had to call . Bottom line is she LIED TO ME now with all these add charges and pay 5 hours instead of 2
