Frosty is the best contractor that I have ever used. I have very high standards, and it’s unusual for me to give top ratings. I solicited a number of proposals for the work, and I am glad that I went with Frosty. My salesperson, John Lederer, provided me with clear and useful information, and was very experienced and knowledgeable. He also was very pleasant to work with because he was professional, conscientious and responsive. The installers showed up punctually according to the prearranged schedule, were professional and did a great job. The whole installation process went very well, especially considering that Frosty had to work with another company’s timing for the removal of my old in-ground oil tank. Frosty’s primary installer and the people who helped him had been with the company for a long time and very much respected it, which also indicates what a good company Frosty is. At one point, I asked the primary installer why he had moved some of the ducting that came from the unit, and he told me that the old placement meant that the air flow wouldn’t work properly. He was right: those rooms had always been much hotter in the summer and cooler in the winter. In fact, after he moved the ductwork, one of the rooms was getting too much air; so, he inserted a damper into that duct to adjust the air flow appropriately. Now the heating and cooling in my house is much more even. Before my oil company would fill my new tank with oil, it sent out someone to inspect the tank connection to the furnace, and he exclaimed over how well the visible parts of the installation were done. The heating and cooling now work much better than they ever did with my old unit. The heat pump and furnace are appropriate for my house size and configuration. As I write this, we are in the middle of a summer heat wave, and I am completely comfortable in my house, which I never was during previous summers. The new system was expensive because I needed a big unit and I wanted extras, but I believe that I got excellent value for what I bought. Initially the cost was higher, but John was flexible, and was able to provide good pricing for some items/features/services that made his bid competitive with other top-rated companies. Before I chose to go with Frosty, I heard from several sources that the quality of the installation determines not only how well the system works, but also how reliable the equipment is and whether it breaks down. I am convinced that I chose the best company for my heating and air-conditioning system, and I would never use any other company than Frosty for an HVAC system.

I called this company last Friday when we discovered that our AC was leaking water in the basement. I read several reviews for HVAC companies on Angie's List and called Frosty after reading about its stellar reviews. I was looking for someone to come out to house ASAP and the woman who answered the phone told me that their next available appointment was not for three days. I said that I would call some other companies since we couldn't wait until Monday, to which the woman at Frosty's replied, "good luck with that". I did, in fact, find a company to come out the next day. Much to my surprise, I had several missed called and voicemails today stating that a technician from Frosty was at my home. I called Frosty to tell them that I never made an appointment and the same rude woman told me "we would have appreciated a cancellation". I asked her how I could be expected to cancel an appointment that I didn't know I had and she said she put me in for the first available appointment and repeated that she would have appreciated a cancellation, and when I started to speak again, she HUNG UP on me!! The gentlemen who left a message on my phone earlier in the day seemed quite nice and a technician left a nice note at our door. It's too bad that this company has one bad apple! The irony is that we have had two companies come out to the house and confirm that we need to replace the AC, furnace, and compressor outside. While we are at it, we are also going to install a tankless water heater. My intention was to call Frosty for a bid, but I am so glad I didn't! I will happily spend the money for a high-end upgrade with another company!

They were very responsive and answered all of our questions about different options. The unit is working well and should last through the summer.

Absolutely fantastic. They were prompt and professional from start to finish. As long as I live in the area, I will never use anyone else for HVAC work again. Jerry from Frosty's came out to assess our current system and give us an estimate. He was friendly, prompt, and professional. He made a few recommendations while he was here just based on what he saw. He was very thorough while he was here, checking not only the unit, but also the attic space to see what kind of insulation we had, as well as all of our duct runs to the house. He took his measurements, etc back to the office so he could use proper methods such as Manual J for his calculations. He provided a quote within a day or two via email. After we got quotes from a few other companies, we decided to go with Frosty's. Not only were they cheaper, but they also have one of the best ratings on Angie's List. Also, to put the icing on the cake (if that's even possible when you're dropping $6500 on new HVAC, ugh) they were running a coupon for 10% off a new system for Angie's List members at the time. SCORE. Anyway, we went ahead and notified Jerry via email that we'd like to go with them. They asked for 1/3 down, so I mailed them a check along with a signed copy of the agreement. They even went ahead and scheduled me in before getting their down payment check. Within a day or two, I got an email from Jerry letting us know he got the check and reminding us of our install date and let me know they might need two days to complete the work. Good thing we did this in the spring, and not in the middle of August haha. On install day, the guys arrived 15 to 20 minutes EARLY. They took a walk around to look at the outside unit and went over stuff together before knocking on the door. They were super nice guys, were very professional, and were dressed nice (especially compared to some of the field guys I've seen in the past). Anyway, first thing they did was ask me to show them the inside unit, and then they got to work laying down drop cloths along the way to the furnace. From there, I followed them down to go over a few details with them, and they showed me this awesome drawing that I'm assuming Jerry had made for them so they knew exactly what they were replacing and what the duct work would look like connecting to the new unit and all. I was super impressed. From there, I just let them do their thing. They were pretty quiet (didn't even wake up my son napping directly above them until they had to cut some sheet metal with a power tool) and didn't need much direction the entire day. They took a lunch without me even really noticing and finished everything up THAT DAY. After finishing up, they brought me down to check out their work and to go over the new system including filter location and showed me where they put the county inspection paperwork. They also checked the temperature of the air coming into and out of the new unit to make sure it was functioning properly on both heat and A/C. As they were leaving, they rolled up their drop cloths on the way out to make sure nothing got on the floors and thanked us for our business. I couldn't be happier with these guys, and this totally makes the Angie's List subscription worth the money 10-fold. Thanks Frosty's!!

Frosty's service was fanastic from start to finish. They were prompt and professional. The techician took the time to explain to me what the problem was and what he was doing. He also explained that on a yearly basis that the unit would need to be oiled but overall the system was in good shape. He stayed and observed that the motor was functioning properly. I would definity use their service in the future.

They came at the time they were supposed to. The guy that came was very knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem. They had to go out to get a part. He put everything together and got the furnace working.

I have used Frosty for 25 years. They have installed 3 separate A/C systems for me, and have maintained my A/C systems, as well. top notch.

Jerry responded to the initial request for estimate in a timely manner. He was prompt for the scheduled appointment, professional, and open to questions and comments. Estimate took a few days to receive by e-mail. Price was competitive with the other estimates that were obtained.

have had a contract with Frosty since 2000 and they have always been very professional and helpful. I have had problems with my heating and air conditioning systems and they have handled them quickly and well. Two weeks ago my CO2 monitors started beeping at 4 AM, with two young grandchildren asleep upstairs. I called them and they called back quickly. Jim arrived at 7 AM on Saturday to assess the situation and ordered the new part, which was on warranty. Two hours later the monitors went off again and the second furnace went up....To finish the story, one was fixed on Monday, so grandchildren are warm, second part took longer to deliver but they will fix today. They are wonderful and I would never use anyone else. Because I have a contract with them and had warranties on the parts there was no charge.

My experience with Frosty Refrigeration Co. Inc. has been excellent. They did a perfect job with the heat pump installation. The first time I used them was in 1978 when they retrofitted a 150 year old house that I lived in at the time. I had tried three other companies then but nobody seemed to know what to do. What Frosty Refrigeration Co. Inc. ended up putting in the old house was better than anything that I have ever had. One can see the work they have been doing for thirty years or more on their website. They even have a history of retrofitting buildings thirty years ago. Even now I recognize the same people and the same technicians. They are not the cheapest but they do more than an outstanding job. They will do it right and they will make it right. In the last job one of their salesmen that I recognize dropped in to help the technicians out with the installation. He didn’t even have to do that. They would send whoever it takes to make sure that it is done right. It was a December and I was without any heat. They placed a special order and installed it for me. They are absolutely great. This is the fourth residence that they have worked for me. They have always exceeded my expectations. They have always done an extraordinarily good job. They are worth every penny I have spent with them over the years. I would continue to use them in the future.

Ralph came to my house first thing one morning to give me a quote. He arrived early and was very professional and thorough. He was more than willing to answer all of my questions. After the quote, Ralph was very responsive through email and on the phone. When I accepted the quote I scheduled a date for the work and was given a time they would be there. The crew (2 guys plus Ralph) arrived on time and worked quickly and efficiently. They were willing to walk me through everything that they were doing and answer all of my questions. Overall I was very please with the work that was done. The new transition piece looks nice as does the tie in work. The crew cleaned up after themselves even taking a bag of trash that I had sitting around. The only criticism that I have is that the price was a little high compared with other quotes I had gotten which were all around $1000. Frosty seemed to be the most thorough in their estimate which is why I ended up choosing them.

The tech was punctual, professional, friendly, and quick. But also, once the tech was done with the check-up, he endured 20 minutes of my questions about the best way to set the ducts, how the thermostat really worked, how to cool the one room that was always too hot, etc... His answers were helpful and thorough and he ran up and down the stairs with me to check out all the ducts and such. After following his advice, the a/c has worked perfectly, and every room in the house is now comfortable.

I have been a Frosty customer since 1980. They have installed air conditioning systems in three houses for me, and they have have consistently provided excellent service. I have a service contract with them, and each time they call on me, they give me superior service. I highly recommend them.
