It should first be noted that this company never contacted me after I purchased the deal. I submitted dates as instructed but never heard from them. I assumed the purchase did go thru and looked up on my account and noticed it had and called them. They had no explanation as to why they had never tried to set up an appointment after I pre-paid. Bad start, should have known. When he said this on repair would cost over $250, I asked him if the money we'd paid Angie's list (for deal) would come off of this fee? He replied: NO, as Angie's list gets that money. Now, I don't believe that is true because it simply doesn't make sense but I was exasperated by the endless chatter by this employee and just really wanted my kids toilet fixed. Of course, my husband was livid that I paid that much as he said our handyman had done other tanks for about $50 each. Oddly, this man was very concerned about his review on Angie's List and went on "selling it" until I agreed to give him a favorable one. Frankly, I just wanted him to leave. He did seem to do good work on the toilet and it works fine. Unfortunately this experience has soured me on buying the Angie's deals which I had used prior with success.

Great Service and follow up

He looked and told me a i needed a new master pump or something for another $120, which was not worth it. I feel they would have helped more if they gave a list of possible reasons for low flow before i bought the deal so i could have realized myself the issue. I blew $70 for nothing.

The technician arrived on time and gave all details on the work that would be performed. There was some issue with one of the toilet which was not covered in the services purchased but he still installed a fix to resolve the problem.

Arrived on time. Quickly made repair. Also provided a full house plumbing assessment. Made additional requested repair immediately.

Very thorough and professional

Great service, he called when nearby, arrived a little early, explained everything well provided an estimate, did the work. I inspected the plumbing work it was all done well. He had to make a cut in the dry wall to get to the pipe, it was a small neat whole. Neat and fast worker. He inspected the other house plumbing and offered recommendations on future repairs. Tightened a few things along the war for free. Very nice guy and did good work. He also cleaned up after himself. The price was a little higher than I excepted but what isn?t high any more.

The representative was very knowledgeable and careful. Paid attn to cleanliness and not leaving anything behind. Could not have been better

Arrived on time, was very courteous and professional. Explained what he was doing and made that the repair was successful. Was very thorough in the home inspection and reccomended areas where improvements could be made.

Ira was on time and was very professional in every way. He explained how the work would be done and said that he would let me know if there would be any additional charges. As it turned out, there were no additional charges. He replaced the outdoor faucet and then re-attached the hose to make sure it worked properly. He was courteous and professional. I would hire Pipes and Pumps again.

The plumber came out and gave me an estimate which was far higher than I expected, @$375. Per my request, he estimated another job: attaching/mounting a new utility sink faucet which included removing two cutoff values, and adding 3 feet of pvc. The cost was well over $400. I found their costs to be quite high and decided to get more estimates. I spent the $39 through Angie's List for the $100 credit. I won't make the mistake of buying a credit for service/repair without knowing how much the service/repair will cost. I was disappointed and it was $39 lesson.

They were great! They found another problem and repaired that as well. They were patient and took all the time that was needed.

went great, Ira is a great plumber. Very clean, polite, knew his stuff. Discovered the old toilet had an installation problem, which I knew and so he had to fix it before he could install the new one. Final charge for the project was more than expected but less than what it would have been had this company charged by the hour. We found other things during the walk through inspection, some that I was aware of prior to his inspection. Came back and fixed them. He's been back a 3rd time for more work. I like the per project charge vs the hourly charge. He takes his time to make sure he got it right.

Scheduling the appointment was efficient and smooth. The technician named Ira arrived on time. He helped fixed a leaking toilet, flushed the water heater and checked several toilets and garbage disposal plumbing. He appears knowledgable and explained to us all the details very patiently. It was a great experience.

This is a very professional company. From phone contact to install everyone was pleasant and happy to answer questions. They arrived on time, used drop cloths and shoe covers to protect the house. Ira, our plumber, explained the choices that always come up with renovation so I could be sure to get the install I wanted. I am having them do more work.

See above. Work done well and in a timely manner - replaced my kitchen faucet. I had purchased the faucet from Lowes. It was all ready to go when the technician arrived. The cost of the replacement is at least 2-3x times higher than many many of the plumbers in my immediate area. I will never use this company again. I don't know how Angie's list can list this firm. The coupon I bought didn't cover the portions of the services listed and advertised. I am contemplating canceling my Angie's Club membership because of this experience.

Went very well; I would recommend Pipes & Pumps. The technician, Ira, was on time and called ahead. He was very thorough in his explanation of the work to be done and it was completed without any surprises or alterations. He did a great job and the finished product looked professional and works perfectly thus far. The whole house inspection was helpful and he recommended specific areas for followup work, but no further pressure. Highly pleased with the quality of the work done and overall professionalism of the company.

Everything was perfect, the toilet was replaced quickly and with no mess (plumber disposed of old toilet for us). He noted several areas where we might want to get additional plumbing work done and explained why but did not push the sell aggressively, which I appreciated.

Plumber was timely and courteous. Spent approximately 4-4.5 hours removing the old toilets and installing the new toilets. Four weeks later, the installation is holding up and everything seems to have been done very well. I know plumbers can charge a premium, but seemed $400/toilet seems steep (not including the $100 off from Angie's List). Maybe I'm wrong.

This was our first time using Angies List to obtain service. One of our toilets was leaking water onto our hardwood floor. We kept a bucket under the leak and in one day there would be 3-4 inches of water in it. I saw an offer on Angies List from Pipes & Plumbers for a $39 service call and $100 credit toward repair. We purchased the offer and scheduled the repair. The repairman was prompt, courteous, informative, and rebuilt the toilet within about an hour. He then gave us a free plumbing inspection and gave us a list of several "ticking time bombs" and a very competitive price for fixing each. There was absolutely no pressure to schedule these additional repairs, but we were so impressed with the time he took with us and the work he did, that we scheduled another appointment to have some of the additional work done. The second appointment was just as impressive as the first one. Our positive experience with Pipes & Plumbers provided us with a good first impression of Angies List!
