Attempted to schedule the service through Angie's List Messaging and by phone. The provider did not answer calls, or respond to messages, so I was unable to schedule the service before the deal I had purchased expired.

This was a big deal service. He did not charge me too much for it and my toilet has been working great ever since. I don't know what his name was, but I called them for my daughter recently. He was professional, did his thing, fixed my toilet and I have not had an issue since. He was a good guy and a nice person.

It went great. He went out of his way to come all the way to my home, which is a little bit out of his service area. He was on time, and he cleaned up after himself and he was very polite.

I tried to schedule the service though Angies List messaging and by phone. Tech Star never responded and the "big deal" expired. Angies List provided a credit for future work with the same company, but I don't anticipate they would be any more responsive to a future attempt to redeem that credit so I will treat it as a write-off.

I think most people would call it a scam. He came in and spent about 20 seconds in the bathroom before recommending a full upgrade, because he "couldn't fix" what was wrong. My toilet was leaking, and I don't know how he could've possibly figured it out in that amount of time. He said the repairs would cost me about $200. I wouldn't call them again.

Purchased the toilet tuneup offer. Overall it went well once we were able to get a hold of the provider to schedule the service. Seems there were initially some problems on the Angie's list side. Called and left messages on Angie's list with provider. They were most responsive to the messages on Angies list directly. They were very nice and professional when on site.

I saw a water spot on the ceiling of main floor. I suspect it is from the bathroom of master bedroom, and I removed toilet. Matt found the small crack on the flange of toilet. He give me a price to fix it and also suggest me I can use epoxy to fix it. He check the whole home plumbing, and replace the worn of flapper of two toilets. When he came in, he always wear a shoe cover. The whole process is very smooth and he did a good job.

They did good job. They came out a week or maybe two after the purchase. It was a reasonable time span. No additional costs. The thing that stood out was that they came out and did what they were suppose to do and didn't waste time. It was satisfactory. I would tell friends and family that they came out, did what they were suppose to do and left.

They did okay. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I feel like they just did a bit minimum. I think they could've been more thorough.

It was great! Mike, the tech, came out because my basement was flooding from the sump pump failing. He told me it was typical because it was over 20 years old. He replaced it on scene and gave me a free house inspection. He informed me that my water heater was close to failing as well. He offered to bundle the two jobs together to get me a better price. He even stuck around to let me check online to see if his prices were competitive. He also gave me a 10% discount. He got me on the schedule right then and there to get the water heater replaced. He showed up on time at 8 am, the next day, to swap it out. He protected my hardwood floor by putting down drop clothes and just really went above and beyond. He was wonderful and I can't thank him enough! I would recommend him to anyone that would ask me for plumbing services!

Tuned up one toilet that was leaking, gave a whole house plumbing inspection that was thorough and pointed out some areas of concern.

Didn't really need my water heater flushed, which was part of the service offered. However, I did need my toilets checked since they seems to be flushing poorly. Turned out, they were just really darn old. I was advised that they didn't actually need to be replaced at this time (it was refreshing not to get a hard sell!) I would definitely recommend Pipes & Pumps.

Unfortunately, I did not get any service. Before calling them I had sent an email from Angie's "Schedule an Appointment" link. I hadn't heard back for awhile so finally decided to call. I guess not all companies on this site (that offer deals) are trustworthy. I'll take more care about this in the future.

It was all good. I called and they came out right away and sealed the leak kitchen sink.

I'd purchased an Angie's List big deal to replace the hose bib outside. A small release valve had come off. When the technician arrived(late)' he first asked to see the deal- even though it was offered by his company and in the system. He looked at the outside faucet and said he couldn't repair it- that it needed to be replaced via breaking through the wall in my garage and running new pipes. I was told I'd be contacted with an estimate. I declined the services and then got a refund from Angie's List. I contacted my own plumber (found through Angie's List several years ago), they came, ordered a small part and repaired the faucet for less than $100! Pipes and pumps basically did a bait and switch! It was obvious that just a part needed replacement!

In one toilet I was told I needed a new handle and it would cost an additional $75. The other toilet needed a new flapper, so he installed one. The best I could tell, the "toilet tune-up" consisted of looking at the flapper and installing a new one if needed. The plumbing inspection consisted of a quick look under the sinks and declaring it was fine. The new flapper was the wrong size so the toilet ran continually so that I had to turn the water off to that toilet. I had to call them back to get that fixed. For the 1st toilet I paid the extra $75 dollars and it is fine now. But I could have called another plumber and gotten a better job for the $150.

Hed checked everything in my house related to water supply and he did it the right and through way.

It went well. While they were here, they pointed out some problems and that was satisfactory. I think it was reasonable. The quality of work is great. When we arranged for time, they came at that time and got everything they needed so there wasn't extra time spent with them going around actually not doing the work.

The service was satisfactory. They did what they were supposed to do. I have no complaints about the workers. They were prompt. I would recommend them.

This provider is technically capable of doing the work but will only use their products (top tier) to perform services. The job that I needed to have done did not need the high priced product that they wanted to use. He kept telling me I needed additional parts (i.e. a toilet seat). I was able to do this for $14.99 as opposed to the high price he wanted to charge. He was generating additional expenses.

First, Ira did a whole house inspection, and provided us with extensive education and recommendations to make our plumbing most efficient and our water safe. He presented all our options, many of them minor cost or free, even taking care of some of it while he was there. Our house has unique limitations, and he figured out solutions customized for us. He wrote up all the recommendations, with no sales pressure at all. We opted to move forward on two items, repair of air conditioner condensation filter and piping, and to add a water filter and faucet to our kitchen which we wanted for our drinking water anyway. Ira arrive on time for both appointments, calling to confirm on the way. Great communication. He did not rush through the job, on the contrary, he took the time to explain everything to us. The work was done well, and Ira was highly professional. I'd recommend Pipes and Pumps to anyone.

The servicemen where on-time, courteous and completed the service in quick time. I will definitely use them again.

Did a great job with the hose bib replacement. Ira was honest and upfront about the possibility of additional costs if having to cut drywall, etc., and reviewed the coupon we had before starting any work. Luckily the drywall was previously cut, so no additional charges. Also, even though Angie's List had this coupon offered in our area, we were outside of the usual service area for this company. They still came out and provided services for the coupon bought.

This was a great value for $49. Most providers charge $99. We live in an area where there's a lot of calcification in the water. This usually manifests wherever there's hot water, no naturally that includes the water heater. If left too long, the heater fills up with it, and the entire unit needs to be replaced, so we try to flush it annually. The plumber who arrived was very courteous and knowledgeable. He did a fantastic job flushing the heater, and his inspection was easily the most thorough we've ever had. He caught a few things that definitely would have been there for our last inspection, which means the last plumber missed them. And the items he found were prioritized, so that we can focus on the most important ones first. Overall an excellent job!
