Description of Work: NONE! Husband took of hours from work and plumber was supposed to be here from 1 to 3 pm. Getting close to the 3 pm time husband called them and was told "plumber running a bit late" By 4:25 and still no show - they close at 4:30 - another phone call to them to find out when will the plumber be here. Husband asked to have the plumber call and tell us if he would be coming. The lady that answered the phone said the plumber wouldn't be able to call us back withing a few minutes. So we cancelled, she said Ok. When reminded that time off of work was taken, she said OK. No sorry for the inconvenience, nothing. Now we are calling another plumber because this one isn't reliable.

The gentleman was very pleasant, and he helped us out. The price was better than expected because it was a holiday weekend as well as a Sunday. We had expected the price to be raised, but it wasn't. We have used them in the past and been very happy. They have been very timely in their response.

 + -1 moreThe plumber arrived within one hour of the designated two hour time block, that is, estimated arrival was between 10 AM and 12 Noon. He arrived at 11:00 AM. He was very professional and well organized. He performed the work in a diligent manner. When there was a part on both toilets (the flapper) that did not have to be replaced, he asked us if we wanted it replaced or not. The work was completed in about an hour. He tested both toilets several times to ensure there were no leaks. We were pleased with the service. Two added bonuses were: 1. He told us there was a $10 coupon in our phone book. We pulled that out to save $10 off the bill. 2. We have a vanity cabinet with stands above one of the toilets from the floor to about a foot below the ceiling. It is not terribly heavy however it was difficult lifting it above the toilet to remove it from the bathroom so he could work. He willingly helped me to put it back in place over the toilet. Again, my wife and I were very pleased with this work and we highly recommend them to anyone who requires household plumbing work.
Description of Work: The internal hardware on two toilets was replaced and a new wax seal on one of the toilets was installed.

 + -1 moreI had a water leak that was coming from my upstairs hallway bathroom that had dripped down in the family room bathroom causing damage to the ceiling because of the water leak. Genevie Plumbing took my emergency phone call that morning and sent a service technician to my home within an hour. The technician was able to trace where the water was leaking an immediately went to work to fix it. I was very happy with his workmanship. Besides the water leak, I asked if he was able to change and fix a bathroom faucet and he did so and I was happy with the results. The overall cost included fixing the water leak and replacing faucets. I was satisfied with the overall cost and would highly recommend Genevie Plumbing.

 + 0 moreMy husband just wanted to replace our spout in the bathtub but when he twisted the old one off, part of the copper pipe came with it and came apart where it was sweated together. My husband has only sweated pipes together once before which was not pleasant so I looked for a plumber on Angie's List. After my husband went through a few of the names who did not answer their phone, he reached a gentleman at Genevie Plumbing. He came out the next day as it was late when we called and fixed the pipe and replaced the spout. He was a little concerned that I might be thinking he is tearing the place apart with all the noise he was making so he stopped to let me know what he was doing. Very considerate of him! He was very nice and said that if there any problems to let him know. There was a little leak underneath when the shower was run so I called him back to fix it and he was very apologetic when he came back and fixed the problem. This gentleman is professional and seems to take pride in his work.
Description of Work: Sweat a pipe together and replaced our spout in the bathtub. He had to make the hole a little bigger to be able to work but it does not show behind the spout.

The young man they sent here to perform the work was very nice and polite. He performed the work fast and he cleaned the area after completing the job.

 + -1 moreThey came out on a Sunday I think, because they do have an emergency line. They came out quickly, assessed the problem, switched out my sump pump and were very easy to use. They were a little expensive, they were the first company that would come out on a Sunday, other than that they were very good and timely.

Description of Work: I can only say good things about this company. I am a senior (which sometimes immediately turns people off) and was having an issue with water running every few seconds. I could only hear it near the hall bath so I turned off the toilet. Didn't matter. I called Genevie on a Sunday and got a person!! Then the owner (I believe) called me back from his home and advised me of things to try and since it would be expensive on a Sunday to wait if I could for the next day. He said someone would call me back in the am to schedule an appointment. Little did I know Mr Genevie would call (and he did) about 7: 40 as promised. I told him I would call back because I wasn't sure of the noise and hadn't tried everything plus needed to search my funds. Well by Thursday the noise was driving me nuts. I had turned off everything I could think of and I know a lot but not this! I called and got an appointment for the next day (today). In talking to my brother he suggested maybe it was my computer since that's the room where I could hear the water. I did check Thursday night. Not the computer. Won't bore you with all the things I did and heard but I think I finally, quite by accident, found the culprit. I have an Air Purifier behind the door and guess what? Unplugged and don't hear any more noise! I called Genevie this morning early to cancel (again got a live person). They are the best!

Description of Work: We've used them 3 or 4 times. Once for a drain cleaning, for a new sump pump and then for a sump pump battery backup. The price was reasonable, professional and were able to come to the house the day I called or the very next day in the case of the battery back up. I highly recommend them

 + -1 moreWe called main number and requested a service call. The serviceman called back right away and said he was had to finish another job before he could respond. It probably took about 2 hours before he arrived. Length of time to do work was only 10-15 minutes. Very simple fix. Price apparently for weekend service call. We were surprised at the overall cost of bill.

 + -1 moreI called them on a Sunday morning and got their answering service. They called me back within 10 minutes and arrived about an hour later. It took them about 45 minutes to make the repair. They have 24-hour service. The cost included parts as well. I have dealt with them on a number of occasions and each time it has been a positive experience. For someone to come out on a Sundayand with very short notice I would have expected to pay much more. Considering our location, the price is definitely reasonable.
Description of Work: I've hired Genevie Plumbing several times for work. Most recently the shut off valve in our bathroom broke and they came out to make the repair.

 + -1 moreA disaster, with no remediation. Service person left me with 3 unusable bathrooms, carpets and walls damaged (plaster gouged, et al.), several items soaked in sewage that had been clean prior to his arrival, a bill for work performed in great part by another company (and THEIR price was reasonable, THEIR work flawless and clean), no admission that Genevie had done anything but a perfect job, no interest in checking specifics of complaints or remediation. Hostility and threats from them when I made these complaints. The slow tub drainage is a job for which I've had Genevie in several times since fall of 2003. And the bath drain is STILL VERY SLOW (many hours to empty 10%-filled tub). One often sticks to what one knows for fear of being victimized by the scores of ineffective (and often dishonest) service people. Never again.
Description of Work: I called first for slow bath in bathroom #1. Service person emptied sewage onto floors, walls, carpets, and damaged several (plaster) walls in attempts to find blockage(s) through all 3 bathrooms. For second visit, I hired a 2nd company to watch and assist -- in this case, they had to take over. Finished by removing carport concrete and laying a new sewage line to septic system (Genevie didn't do this, though they charged for it).
