GENEVIE PLUMBING

Nick arrived promptly. He throughly looked at and diagnosed problem. He explained what the problem was and said he would order the necessary parts. He returned the next day and completed the repair. Nick was very nice and polite and conducted himself in a very professional manner! We have used Genevie Plumbers for all our plumbing needs for over 28 years and have always been totally satisfied with their work! We highly recommend them.

The service was performed in a timely and professional manner. The plumber was here for 10 minutes. The flapper now works fine. It took him 5 minutes for flapper repair. It took 5 minutes to receive bill and submit plumber a check for final payment. The bill consisted of service charge of $150 plus $74 for 2 new flappers. Home Depot charges $12 for 1 flapper. I have another flapper for future use so only service charge will be needed. Hopefully the service charge will not increase.

We had someone come out and take a look at the leak we had and he attempted to fix it, but it did not work. The leak is still happening. The gentleman that came out didn't seem like he wanted to be bothered with the repair and was more concerned about his son helping him out than doing a thorough job of testing if the leak was properly fix. I told him that the leak does not occur when a shower is taken, but only when the bath tub is full. He assured me that the fix he provided would do the trick, but as it did not work. Do not request a quote/estimate from them. They will charge you $95 and not do any work and leave. Then they will come back and charge you $150+/hr or a flat rate (their choice) for their services. Their work is not guaranteed and will charge again and again for each visit.

Horrific! 1. They did arrive on time 2. Plumbers (two got out of vehicle) one was smoking and threw his cigarette on Church parking lot after exiting company vehicle. 3. No professional greeting at all from either one 4. The plumber who was smoking ignored a few questions I asked him 5. It literally took them less than 7 minutes to fix the one toilet that had a slow flush with a portable snake anyone could purchase at Home Depot and it took the plumbers less than 10 seconds to check on the other toilet that had no issues but I just wanted then to check it just in case. 6. Once snake was out of both toilets and bathrooms plumbers dragged the nasty dripping snake with toilet water on both bathroom floors and across the carpet and across the church lobby and vista view area. 7. The plumbers never cleaned up the spill and when I mentioned it to then they just ignored me 8. The total bill was $330 dollars. 9. I called the owner Paul and told him what I just wrote above and he went silent for a bout a minute did not say a single word. I asked are you there and he replied yes. Than another moment of silence. He NEVER apologized, showed no sympathy, and acted like he could care less. And remember, this was a church and organization that gives to the community. So How did you it go? You tell me. Stay far far Away from this company would be my recommendation to my worst enemy!

The work performed, which was the replacement of an exterior hose bib, was fine, but I was way over charged. The time spent actually on my property replacing the hose bib took just over an hour, but I was charged for a total of 2.5 hours (@ $150/hour) due to the company's policy to charge the customer for the plumber's travel (at the full rate of $150/hr) by starting the clock once the plumber leaves his previous job. On top of that, there was a $100 'ARRIVAL FEE' for the appointment. Neither the cost for travel time or arrival fee were disclosed when the appointment was made with the owner several days prior, or when the plumber arrived before the work began. What frustrated me was that I had no control over where the plumber's previous appointment was, and even before the plumber had even arrived, I was on the hook for $250!! I did contact the owner of the company to confirm the company's policy on charging travel time, and if it was true, how I witnessed the technician spend about 10 minutes smoking before coming to my door (while I was apparently on the clock). The owner said he was only responsible for booking the appointment and not what occurred during the appointment, what the plumber did with his time, or what he ended up charging for time/travel (since the owner was not actually there to witness it). He did offer to split the travel cost with me. I will not be using this company again, and recommend anyone who does use them make sure you get an agreement of their costs before setting any appointment.

IT WENT VERY WELL THEY ARRIVED AT 11:00 AM THURSDAY NOVEMBER 24, 2017, THEY FINISHED BY 11:30 AM THEY WERE IN MY HOME AROUND 1/2 HOUR. THE CHARGE TOLD TO ME ON THE PHONE $150.00 THE FIRST 1/2 HOUR ONCE THEY ARRIVE AND THEN ADDITIONAL FOR PARTS THINGS SUPPLIED AND THEN ANOTHER $150.00 IF IT WAS OVER 1/2 HOUR. WELL THEY WERE ONLY IN MY HOME AND COMPLETED THE JOB IN 1/2 HOUR THEY CHARGED $247.00 AND CHANGE THE EXPLANATION NEW TO US , THEY CHARGE FROM THE TIME THEY LEAVE THEIR SHOP OR PREVIOUS LOCATION, THEY CHARGE FOR TRAVEL TIME TO YOUR HOME~ THE LAST TIME I USED THEM THERE WAS NO SUCH CHARGE THE GENTLEMAN CHARGED FROM THE TIME HE WALKED THRU OUR FRONT DOOR.~~ SOMETHING HAS CHANGED AT GENEVIE PLUMBING, I CALLED TO INQUIRE AND THE GIRL WHO ANSWERED THE PHONE COULD NOT GIVE ME AN EXPLANATION WITHOUT PUTTING ME ON HOLD, WHEN SHE RETURNED SHE STUTTERED AND USED THE EXCUSE SHE WAS NEW THERE ONLY WORKED THERE A WEEK SAID OH YES WE CHARGE TRAVEL TIME I ASKED SINCE WHEN AND AGAIN SHE PUT ME ON HOLD ~~ SOMEHOW CHARGING TRAVEL TIME WHEN WERE LOCAL~ GENEVIE I DON'T KNOW WHY YOU CHANGED BUT TO BE DOING THIS TO THE FOLKS WHO ESTABLISHED YOUR BUSINESS AND NOW YOUR GOING TO CHARGE TRAVEL FEES~~SHAME ON YOU !

Jim was very professional. He was on time and took care to not make a mess. I would recommend them to anyone!

Excellent service. I managed to secure an appointment a day or two after my initial call. I overpaid for the disposal unit (I priced it at Home Depot later that week for $100), but they saved me the trip.

They did come out to the house, and we did use them. They were alright. They were about five hours out the time frame that they were supposed to be here, which did not sit well with me. We didn't have a choice at that point. It was all acceptable. The only problem I had was the fact that they were real late.

We have relied on Genevie Pumbing for over 25 years for all our plumbing needs. They are always prompt, very friendly and ALWAYS get the job done right. Today, Joey and Joel, installed a new kitchen faucet. They were professional and had the job done in under an hour! Thank you Genevie Plumbing for always providing the best service!

They were very late to my house, like 4 hours late. They did fix the problem.

Everyone on the Genevie team is professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. I always know that if I have a problem and Genevie is handling it...I don't have to worry. I wish all of my problems were plumbing issues, because I have a champion that will fix that.

Plumber was prompt great and handled the problem directly.

It is working well. They did have to come back to adjust it, but they came back the same day that I called. It only took a few minutes to fix it, and have not had problems since. It is a family business, and is local. They installed a garbage disposal for me, and fixed some fixtures. They also installed some shower heads for me, and put a ring around my toilet. They tell you the cost of what you are going to have to pay ahead of time. You do have to pay a service charge fee for them to come though.

Made an emergency appointment at 11AM. No one came. Called again at 5PM. Finally at 7PM the guy calls. Will be here in 30 minutes. 9PM no show. I call his number...no answer. I get a text 5 minutes late saying his truck got stuck backing out of his yard and he's waiting for his friend to tow him. I cancel the service order and will go some place else. So much for an A rating.

The service they provide was great, they came when they're supposed to fix the problems. Not had an issue since. So overall they provided a reliable service.

No one came. I called 3 different times and no one had a solution. They told me they would call me back but I never got a call. I took off from work and they didn't even offer me anything to rectify the fact that no one came. Now grant it, she told me an emergency had come up, but I shouldn't have had to call and find that out. They should have called and let me know. They also should have done what ever it took to earn my business. I ended up calling Jerry's plumbing they are going to do this big job that this company missed out on.

I was so glad to have same day service to repair my clogged kitchen sink/ garbage disposal even on a snow day that had schools and the federal government shut down. I will definitely use this company again.

We returned home after work to water rushing down our driveway from under the garage door. It appeared that water was coming from a burst pipe in one of the walls adjacent to the garage. We turned off the water to the house and called Genevie Plumbing. They came out the very next morning, isolated the problem (a burst spigot pipe that we hadn't winterized), removed the cracked section and terminated the end because the pipe was frozen. We waited until later in the spring to re-connect the pipe to the exterior spigot. It was a good lesson in why you should ALWAYS turn off the water to the exterior spigots every winter and let the remaining water drain out so that the pipes don't burst! The price was a bit high; but it was an emegency and they were very quick to respond and were professional. The plumber had just come from another job where he had worked late in the night on a house that had flooded. We would consider them again due to their professionalism and quality of work; but would quote out other plumbers if it wasn't an emergency situation.

Service Window was between 10:00 am - 12 Noon. The Mechanic and his Apprentice showed up between 11:30-11:45. Within 5 minutes of arrival, the mechanic called me in as he took apart the shower control knobs and showed me two small parts with springs he said had worn out. He suggested they may have been installed when home was build (1991). After another 10 minutes he had replaced the parts (he had some difficulty getting the knob put back on) and showed me the dripping issue was fixed The area was adequately cleaned up after they finished. Thirty-five dollars of the cost was for the Delta Kit they installed. The rest was their 1-hour rate.

I AM A ANGIE'S LIST MEMBER AND ITS MY GO TO WHEN I NEED WORK OR REPAIRS. IN THIS CASE I NEEDED A PLUMBER'OUT OF ALL THE ONES I REVIEWED IT WAS CLEAR THAT GENEVIE PLUMBING WAS THE ONE I WOULD CHOOSE TO RESOLVE THE ISSUES. I EMAILED THEM AND THEY PROMPTLY RESPONDED ~THEY GAVE ME AN APPOINTMENT FOR TUESDAY NOVEMBER 17, 2015 IN THE AM. WELL I HAD MANY QUESTIONS SO I CALLED THEM AND SPOKE TO NICK~NICK TOOK HIS TIME AND ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS, A VERY POLITE & PROFESSIONAL YOUNG MAN. NICK ASKED IF I COULD WAIT TILL WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 18,2015 AND IF SO HE WOULD COME OUT AND ADDRESS THE PROBLEMS~~I SAID THAT WOULD BE FINE, HE THEN TOLD HE WAS THE VP FOR GENEVIE PLUMBING AND THAT WAS COMFORTING TO KNOW. HE SAID HE WOULD BE OUT AT THE SAME TIME AS MY TUESDAY APPOINTMENT. NICK WAS VERY PROMPT, RIGHT ON TIME. HE WENT STRAIT TO WORK~HE CAME OUT IN THE LIVING ROOM AND TOLD ME THE ISSUES, I ASKED IF HE COULD REPLACE THE FAUCET AND THE CLEAR TUB KNOB~HE EXPLAINED THAT ~YES HE COULD DO THAT BUT THE WORK WOULD BE EXTENSIVE AND EXPENSIVE SINCE MY HOUSE WAS BUILT IN 1979. HE SAID HE COULD FIX THE PROBLEMS AND EXPLAINED WHAT HE WOULD DO, THE PARTS HE NEEDED BUT HE NEEDED TO GO TO THE LOCAL PLUMBING SUPPLY STORE TO GET THE PARTS. HE LEFT BUT HE WAS NOT GONE LONG~~HE CAME BACK WENT RIGHT TO WORK AND FIXED THE LEAKY FAUCET AND PUT ON A BRAND NEW CLEAR TUB KNOB. I AM A SENIOR AND THE KNOB WAS VERY TIGHT I COULD BARELY TURN THE WATER OFF AND ON WITH ARTHRITIS IN BOTH HANDS. WE WERE SO IMPRESSED WITH NICK THAT WE TRUSTED HIM WITH HIS SUGGESTIONS ON THE REPAIRS , WITHIN 20 MINUTES THE ISSUES WERE RESOLVED.~HE ASKED ME TO COME BACK TO THE BATHROOM , THAT,S WHEN I SAW THE NEW CLEAR KNOB, HE ASKED ME TO TRY IT~~~HE PUT A SMILE ON MY FACE, IT WAS SO EASY TO TURN THE WATER OFF AND ON AND NO MORE LEAKY FAUCET ! IT TURNED OUT THE A CONTRACTOR WE HAD 2 YEARS EARLIER WHO WAS NOT ON ANGIES LIST PLACED THE WRONG PARTS ON THE KNOB WHICH LEAD EVENTUALLY TO THE LEAKY FAUCET. WELL~MY HUSBAND & I ARE SO PLEASED WITH THE GREAT JOB NICK DID~~SO GLAD WE TRUSTED HIS EXPERTISE~~NICK SAVED US A LOT OF MONEY, DID AN EXCELLENT JOB AND WE LOVE THE NEW CLEAR KNOB IT'S BEAUTIFUL & NO MORE LEAKY FAUCET. SO WHEN YOUR IN NEED OF PLUMBER , ONES THAT YOU CAN TRUST THAT WILL DO THE JOB RIGHT~~"CALLTHE EXPERTS AT GENEVIE PLUMBING." THANKS NICK~~~~~~GREAT JOB ~~~~~~!

I received a response back from the company on Thursday, October 1, 2015 that they could come out on Monday, October 5. I chose this company because of the review on Angies list and I had used them before at my primary residence. I sent a message on Sunday, October 4 asking that they contact me with the diagnosis first and to see if they could take payment over the phone since I would not be there but my tenants would be. When I hadn't received a response back this morning I called the company. I was told Sandy was off today (Monday, October 5) and they hadn't received the message. Sandy was the person who responded to me through your message center initially. Even if Sandy was out of the office I find it hard to believe that no one would check the messages for the office. I didn't send the message to her personally, I sent it to the company directly. What if I had decided to cancel the appointment altogether. I called them after 9:00am, surely they check messages first thing in the morning in case they have to adjust their schedule. Also their hours are from 8:00am until 4:30pm so they were in the office by 8:00 and nobody checked the messages? My problem is the cost of the work and the customer service received from Paul at the office when I complained about the price and the work being done without contacting me first. I told him I thought it was standard that you contact the customer with the diagnosis and the price before doing the work. He said no they don't do that and he would never get anything done if he had to call the customer before doing a job. I told him with Angies List there was a $10 discount on the $75 service call fee and that the service call amount would go towards the work done, but I thought the reason for the service call fee was to diagnose the problem and give the customer the option on whether they wanted the work done or not. He (Paul) said he wouldn't have sent someone down there for $75 and he would go broke if he did that for each job. I told him I was quite upset and I wouldn't use them again. That didn't seem to phase him a bit. I never got a "sorry you feel that way, or anything. I told him I can see it doesn't matter to him , they have my money now and that I was just another disgruntled customer. I still didn't get any type of concern. I have no problem paying for work done but $398.00 to replace a faucet seems very high. I also know that when they come out to do work at my home they have always given my husband a price so we knew whether or not to proceed with them or not. I am so disappointed at the customer service I received from them.

My husband accidentally flushed a small air freshener canister down our toilet. We couldn't plunge it out, do we used SnapFix at 5 am,and was contacted around 9 am the same day by Genevie Plumbing to schedule an appointment. They offered to come that afternoon, but I scheduled for the next morning. I asked about the price and was told I'd pay between $140 - $180. Wes came out and he is awesome. Courteous, friendly and professional. He showed up a few minutes earlier than the 11:00 am time. He pulled up the toilet and unclogged it within 20 minutes. It was great service. I ended up paying $160 and I will absolutely call them again in the future.

I'm very satisfied! Already had one awful plumber out who improperly troubleshot the problem and was incredibly slow responding to requests for service. Found Genevie Plumbing through Angie's List and contacted through the site. Received a quick response and a timely appointment was scheduled. The plumber found the real source of the leak (a sneaky hairline crack) and referred me to a company that can fix the crack. I thought the price charged for the service call was reasonable as well and am happy to finally know what the problem with the tub is!!
