They were on time with very strong scheduling up front and follow-through. Service was timely and professional. I am not sure the treatment is as effective as advertised. I have pet soiled are they treated but were not able to 'clear'.

This review is very late. They attempted to clean my carpets but their machine was broken or not working correctly and they managed to soak my carpet with cleaning solution. They said that they sucked it all up but 2 days later, my entire upstairs had this terrible smell coming from the "cleaned area" I found out that it was mildew that had grown that fast under my carpet in the padding, which was not salvageable. I had to tear out that portion of the padding that was soaked, pull the carpet up and dry it out. I was so angry that I ended up using my own carpet cleaner (which I usually use and am very good at) to re do everywhere that they had done. I re-cleaned the stairs and the landing and the bedroom 2 times with my Bissell steam cleaner and got a ton of more dirt out of the carpet reflected by the black water that was left behind in the water tank.. I didn't call them back or report this right away because it was obvious that they (the technicians, not the company) either didn't know what they were doing, had broken equipment or didn't care and I didn't want them back in my house at the time. I could have made a big issue out of the padding being ruined but I didn't have the energy or the time to fight about it. Because of the name Chem-Dry, I actually thought that it was a dry cleaning process similar to the process the Oreck uses with their cleaning powder and a vibrating brush system, but come to find out that their system is just like any other "spray solution, and suck it right back up system" that anyone else uses. They tried to tell me that theirs was different and special because of how fast it was but, because their machine didn't have an o-ring or something, the water did not get extracted and soaked down into my padding. Just in defense of the company, I believe that they are a good company but the way that the owner handled me over the phone and was sure to call back to verify and was very friendly and professional. But the 2 guys that came to do the carpet were your run of the mill employees who were late showing up to begin with and had broken equipment and left the carpet wet. So, I guess that really reflects on this franchise of Chem-Dry, and by now I hope that they are doing a much better job. It has been a year since this happened and I was their first Angie's List Customer and I didn't want to blast them out of the water as they were just getting started. It was a special deal for $99.00. Maybe I should have asked for a refund but I just let it go. They just dropped the ball that time and I would read the other reviews to see what they say before you make a judgement based on this review..

My carpets look beautiful, the best they've looked in years. And they feel good, too. The last few times I had my carpet cleaned by another company, it took a couple of days for the carpets to dry. Except for the stairs which took several hours, the upstair carpets were dry in less than three hours. David showed me the water after cleaning, and though it wasn't that dirty, it was extremely soapy. I knew that couldn't have been good for the carpet. David explained the ChemDry method and why it was healthy for the carpet. I am convinced that he is right. I actually was thinking of tearing up the carpet on the stairs and in the hallway upstairs and putting down hardwood floors. The carpet is 18 years old and was beginning to look it. But it looks so much better now, I'm going to wait on that major undertaking. Not only was David very professional, but thorough, and exceptionally pleasant. I highly recommend this company and will use it again soon for my oriental and wool area rugs.

I called with the dimensions of my 5 area rugs and was given a verbal quote that I considered quite reasonable and scheduled the service. I assumed that because their technique specifically mentioned that 'carpets' would dry in a couple of hours, they were going to clean them in my home. I was called the day before the scheduled service as a reminder. About an hour before David arrived, I was called by the office to make sure that I knew my rugs would be picked up and cleaned at their facility. This was not what I expected and was more than unhappy. However after David explained why the rugs needed to be cleaned at the shop, it made complete sense to me. Wall-to-wall carpeting, where finshed wood flooring is not at risk, of course would be cleaned in place, not so with area rugs. David was very professional, courteous and even moved a very heavy glass topped coffee table for me. Ray delivered my gloriously clean rugs and put my living room back in order - even moving the glass into place. Their initial quote was honored and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I have used another carpet service in the past and was disappointed, not only with the results but with the add-on costs that were deemed necessary once my carpets were out of my home and at their shop. This company is top-notch and I would highly recommend them. My rugs look fabulous!

They were fabulous. They were very professional and punctual when it came to their work. I would definitely use them again in the future.

I had no problems with them. They were on time, polite, professional, and responsive. I have used them in the past. I would use them again in the future. The price was reasonable.

Technicians came to house on time and were polite and professional. Cleaning included carpet on stairs, hallway, and one bedroom. We also had a large area rug cleaned in our house, which we really were happy they could do without having to take it away for cleaning elsewhere. We added the Stain Fighter to the basic package which made it more expensive than original quote, but as we have three indoor dogs, we wanted the extra protection. As stated earlier, they are a nice, professional group of folks, from the office scheduler to the young men who did the work.

Carpet is 11 years old. Had never been professionally cleaned. Had been cleaned with home use Regal carpet cleaner. We have cats and cats throw up hair balls. Stains were in all rooms and carpet looked old and dingy. My Partner started nagging that we needed to get new carpet. A friend had used another Chem Dry company at their home in South Carolina. She told me how quickly the carpet was dry in comparison to steam cleaning. So I found this vendor since I live in PG county MD. Two techs came on time. They surveyed the carpets, did pre-spotting and pre-scrubbing. Three hours later my carpets (all the same in all carpeted rooms plus stairs) looked brand new. Techs moved smaller furniture pieces as needed. Larger pieces (like couch, chests, and beds) did not need to be moved. Techs recommended a quickie cleaning in six to seven months to keep carpet looking new. With two cats and human caused stains do happen we will plan on a quickie cleaning in the Summer. Easy website scheduling. Technician arrived promptly, explained process and discussed spot treatments. Very satisfied with results. Will schedule another cleaning in the fall.

THEY ARE VERY CAREFUL TO NOT GET CHEMICALS ON MY WOOD FLOORS AND VERY CAUTIOUS. THEY TREAT MY FURNITURE WITH CARE AND ARE VERY COURTEOUS. THEY ARE ALSO VERY THOROUGH.
