Larry and his crew did an excellent job of picking up from the store and then maneuvering two very heavy boxes from his truck to my basement. This was not an easy job, but it was done efficiently, safely and professionally.

2 day move - good job - a bit slow but took care of belongings

Everything went well. They arrived on time; packed and unpacked quickly; and finished without any problems. They charged me by the hour, and they were very reasonable about the time they charged including the drive time to and from their business in Fells Point, MD. I didn't have a box or any packing for my 42" flat-screen TV, and they said they could handle it, and it arrived without a scratch. I gave them a "B" for professionalism, not because they were unprofessional in any way, but because this is a very small company - two owners and their helpers, so they don't have uniforms, etc. - just in case your looking for a big company like Allied Van Lines, this is not it. I think they were a very good value: A reasonable price for a good quality of service. Note that a big factor in the success and efficiency of a move is to have everything packed well and ready to go when the movers arrive, and I did.

Did a good job, very efficient. Took great care with our furniture. Even put up with my directions.

Lenny was very responsive and accommodating in the moving date and time. And was enjoyable to work with. Our plants were very delicate as were a few other items and they handled them with extra special care. I would definately recommend him.

I contacted Larry on a Tuesday and was able to schedule the move for the same week. I did not call any other companies as I had a friend who was looking for a mover at the same time and she said that LC Movers had the lowest fee of the 4 companies she had investigated. Larry and Gregory arrived on time and were professional and friendly. They worked straight through without taking any breaks. They encountered some difficulties with getting the furniture through the narrow door openings of the rowhouse and again when unloading at the assisted living facility, which also had narrow doors and no freight elevator. They cheerfully worked through the obstacles! Larry's estimate was 3 hrs. It took a little longer, but it was due to the obstacles they had at both locations. I highly recommend this company!

They were wonderful. He was on time, thoughtful, put things where I asked, only took 45 min to unload and was upset with the way the other guys packed the pod. He made me take pictures to email them to show the way the load had shifted. Would absolutely recomment him.

Larry was the best service provider we ever had. Excellency in all respects. It was great experience working with him. Besides, he is an outstanding professional and knows his job thoroughly, he is a very interesting, educated and intelligent person. We highly recommend him.

Larry and crew were the best we could have hoped for given the unique moving situation. We had been under contract for 63 days trying to buy a bank owned home. During that time the home fell out of contract 3 times and was never a sure thing until the day of closing. Because of the nature of the deal we couldn't pack much ahead of time. When we finally closed the deal we wanted to move in asap. Larry was able to be flexible and do 2 trips the first day, 2 trips the 2nd day and on the 4th day one trip to finish it up. We have moved with professional movers four times in the last 8 years and this is the one time that I can say nothing was damaged. Not a scratch on any of our furniture or either home, and the first two days of the move the temp. was 100-104 with a heat index off the charts. We really appreciated Larry working with us when we had to cancel our move in dates with him twice, and doing such a good job.

Overall, it was fine--he took photos and provided an estimate within the time he said (3 days).

There was nothing really special; they did what they were there to do. Make sure to specify what exactly you have to move.

Larry and his two-man crew arrived on time, scoped out the job with me, and got right to work. I had broken down most of the furniture the night before they arrived, but the guys quickly and efficiently wrapped up some of the items that I hadn't prepared--a fairly large TV and an entertainment center. They even offered to move things that were outside of our agreement (rugs and some boxes). The guys broke for a half-hour lunch and for two 15-minute breaks, which I thought was very reasonable. The move lasted from 8:30 (when they called me; their arrival was 9) until approximately 1:30 or so. Compared to how long it took to pack and unpack the moving truck when I moved from Boston last fall, I found this time to be very efficient. The guys put everything where I asked them to put it. They offered to set up furniture, but I told them that we'd do it ourselves. They were very polite and respectful every step of the way. Larry even gave me some advice about securing porch furniture that I found to be very true and useful information. I'm very pleased with their services and would use them again with no reservations.

Their quote was a lot higher than the other companies we spoke to. They were very nice and very responsive but we didn?t go with them because the price was too high. They came immediately and we sat down to discuss the pricing and everything. He?s pretty set with is pricing and there isn?t much flexibility. He was a pleasant, nice man.

They called to see if it was OK to arrive a little early. They were on-time, polite, efficient, and made it clear how much it would cost. They were cautious with the pieces to avoid damage, and were willing to move things around to suit our preferences once they got the furniture into the room. Nice guys. Would definitely hire them again if needed.

Larry came on time with a helper. He was friendly, and moved two heavy file cabinets, several boxes of office supplies and a desk top computer and printer. He told me he thought it would take 1 hour, and even though he helped move furniture in the new office and get everything arrange, he took a little over one hour - 75 minutes - and only added $10.00 to the bill. An excellent person to work with.

Before they showed up I let Larry know the morning of the move (essentially at the last minute) that I had even more boxes than I'd expected. He calmly made arrangements to add an additional man to his team and arrived on time. His attitude is one of doing what it takes to make the move go smoothly. The move went great. Larry and his team (with special thanks to James) took excellent care of my belongings, asked all the right questions rather than just dumping my stuff wherever, dismantled and reassembled my TV and computer hookups, and didn't break or dirty anything. I couldn't have done a better job myself. I'm not overdoing it here; they're that good and it's because they feel a sense of personal responsibility and understand the value of having a good reputation.

Larry (owner) called prior to leaving his workplace and arrived on time as planned. He brought a total of 3 additional movers with him. They moved just shy of 200 boxes and totes of items, some of them very heavy as well as many furniture pieces. They handled each item with care, and had special emphasis on not scraping the walls. When I went back to the apartment to do the final clean I did not have to apply any touch up paint because there were NO marks left on the walls. They drove the items to our new home in a Penske truck. They unloaded the items and put each item into the room as I had them marked on the boxes, if an item was not marked they asked me which room it went to and delivered it there. Again they took special note not to touch the walls. They had trouble getting my King size mattress up stairs because to get it up the stairs they would have to touch the walls (squish the mattress). I did ask them to do this and it was not an easy task. The stairway ceiling was too low for a true king mattress to fit, but they got it up there so we could have a place to sleep. I looked after they left and really they accomplished this with almost no markings on the walls. It was nice that they took furniture to the top floor and the basement. I am fully unpacked now and absolutely nothing was broken or scratched. After the move we had to request a second receipt with more information so my husband's work would reimburse us for the move. My husband had to contact Larry since my internet was down for awhile. Larry sent a new receipt with all the specified information and even followed up to make sure we received it and it was to our satisfaction. I think these 4 guys did an outstanding job with our move.

I am very glad I found LC Movers on Angie's List. Our need to vacate the nanny's apartment came up abruptly, but Larry and James were able to fit me into their schedule on short notice. It was a sunny and hot day, and the apartment has narrow doors, but they tackled every challenge with a good attitude. I was impressed with how Larry loaded the truck, stacking boxes and furniture in a kind of staircase way that minimized movement once we started driving. Everything arrived in Texas in good condition. Larry and James are nice guys and hard workers. You will get a fair deal and a quality job if you hire them for your next move.

Larry and James communicated their time of departure and kept me posted on traffic they encountered heading toward Silver Spring. Arrived in a timely manner. Surveyed what needed to be done. Were friendly and polite. Disassembled multiple Ikea pieces for safer transport. Consulted with us about our preference regarding moving breakables. Took just one 15-minute break and worked through lunch, grabbing fast food to eat in the truck on the way back to Towson. Kept me informed of traffic backups on the way to Towson, and sought my advice about a detour they were trying in order to shorten the delay. Did a great job unloading and stacking everything in our basement, leaving everything wrapped and padded for ease of future moving. We were very impressed and would definitely use them again. Estimate was higher than we originally discussed because we didn't pre-disassemble an Ikea entertainment center that we thought would fit on the elevator -- but didn't, plus the wonderful Baltimore-DC traffic on 95 and both Beltways contributed to the time spent transporting. Even strategically timing the move to avoid both morning and evening rush hours wasn't likely to result in quick trips. They charge an hourly rate, rather than by weight, and really worked to keep our costs down -- not their fault about the traffic delays. I experienced them as well, and they weren't exaggerating.

Way over this guys head...actual cost was 800 higher than estimate. The move was scheduled for 1 day. It took 2 full days. His lead guy got sick and did not work for the better part of the 1st day. He tried to tell me he did not cash my deposit check when it had cleared 8 days prior to move. also, the lead guy asked for another 200 tip.. outrageous considering he was sick the first day. I would not use these guy again. and i suggest you don't either.

I can't say enough good things about them. I changed the time on them twice and added a pickup location - and they didn't bat an eye on being flexible to accommodate my needs. They arrived a few minutes early at the first location and were already hauling things out by the time I arrived - they waste no time (which is important since they charge by the hour). At the second location, everyone else was waiting to get started until a door was removed to make it easier to get things out of the home we purchased some items from. LC Movers didn't wait around, though - they figured out how to get everything out and kept the project moving. At our house, there was an issue with a crib they moved from one room to another and Larry did not give up on it until he had it solved (even putting in some of his own time). From start to finish, they were responsive, professional, friendly, and efficient. The next time I need something moved, they're definitely getting my business again.

They were on budget and were prompt. They were accurate about the estimates. They were careful with the move, and they went about their work. In my view, they were between what was too low of an estimate versus what was too high of an estimate. Their price was right, and their service was good. It wasn?t unnecessarily stressful.

Moving sucks, there's no way around that, but Larry and his crew made the unloading as pleasant and smooth as it could possibly be. We wish they'd been in Indianapolis to load the truck for us on the other end!

Both Larry (the owner) and his helper James were courteous, professional and hard working. They were very careful with handling and moving the items out of the house and into the new one. Larry also helped me get a few very heavy boxes from the attic. There were many stairs and one very low ceiling they had to navigate through. I appreciated their honest recommendations on a couple of larger pieces of furniture not fitting through some narrow spaces. They were both very accomodating. Larry made sure everything went to my desired spot in the house. He was punctual and polite. Everything went smoothly and I would definitely hire and recommend this company again.

The price they offered was much more reasonable than several other movers. They were flexible around my schedule. Larry, the owner, was involved in the move himself. They were prompt and efficient. They accept checks, which I very much appreciate as it feels like a safer form of payment for me. I forgot to ask for a receipt and wasn't given one, but it was such a small move (just 1 item) that it's not a big deal. Overall, I was pleased and would hire them again.
