They were okay. The price for the service trip to come to my home added two hours to the job which was a disappointment. Once the job was done they charged for the trip back to their area which to me doesnt make sense. I have to say the truck was loaded safely and items were well taken care of. Items made it to my new home okay.

Mr. Cohen and his team exceeded my expectations. I needed a last minute move, and called several companies. Larry was able to schedule me that week, and his price was competitive. Although his hourly rate was slightly higher than the other companies, he didn't tack on extra fees, which actually made LC movers the better deal. I also liked that Larry personally participates in every move. The team arrived on time and were incredibly fast. Really, really fast. They took great care with my items and left no marks on the walls of my new home. They made moving quick and easy, and ended up costing less than I'd budgeted.

. i found this company on angies list. i talked with the owner and reserved a day. the owner was told the approximate number of boxes and rooms of furniture to be moved. i asked when he was coming to see the furniture and he said that would not be necessary. he told me how much it would cost per hour with a crew of four. he asked me to email my name, address and phone number. i continued to pack and realized there was a lot more furniture and boxes then i had told him. i emailed the owner and called him to let him know about this increase. i also decided to have them pack the clothing, as he told me earlier that they supplied clothing boxes instead of giving angie members a discount. the owner said no problem...he would just add an extra man. he requested i put the clothing in black bags or sacks as it would be easier to place them on the truck. the men arrived on time. the owner was upset because all the boxes i packed did not have tap on them. he wanted me to sign a disclaimer if anything broke on the truck. i agreed. a little later he said he did not want to do the move unless i taped the boxes. i went to office depot to buy tape. my family and friends that were there to help began taping boxes. most of the boxes, bags, and furniture had been labeled with the room placement for the items...and the move began. because taping boxes, i was unable to continue cleaning the house before the new owners walk through. i left around noon to settle on my house and the new house. after the settlements i went back to the house and began cleaning. the men continued to pack up. because there was so much furniture and boxes another truck was needed. we were able to rent a second truck and continue moving. it is important to note that the day we moved was one of the hottest, humid days of this summer. the men finished filling up the second truck and started for the new home. They started at 10:00 am. They were on their way around 6:00 pm. I stayed at the sold home and continued to clean. the severe thunderstorms began shortly after they left. i was told by friends and family they were finished at 11;30 PM. The owner of the moving company refused to leave the new home until he was paid. my family assured the owner that he could come the next day and i would pay him. he would not leave and said i would be charged for the whole time they waited. he finally left and returned the next day. At that time he was paid the amount we agreed to initially. i refer to this move as the move from h***. part of the problem was my inexperience. i had no idea the boxes needed to be taped. i thought that because i had made most of them really light, that they would not need special treatment. but in all honesty, i am a novice at this, not a professional. all of these problems could have been avoided if the owner had come ahead of time to check out what was being moved. if that had happened the owner would have told me to tape up the boxes and also come with the correct sized truck. when i arrived at the new home the next morning, i checked out the work ahead. because most of the moving men did not read or speak English many boxes and some of the furniture was placed in the wrong room. one tv was broken. one antique oyster plate was broken. i know that one of the most stressful events you can participate in life is moving. i tried to make this less stressful by choosing accompany that was highly rated on angie's list. i have had nothing but success with angie so far, and i am still using her list. anyone can have a bad day, but it is always a good idea for the professionals to perform their expertize by demonstrating good planning.

The mover Mr. Cohen called to let us know that they were running a little late due to traffic, and arrived at the apartment not long after the scheduled start time. He and his helpers hauled some large pieces of furniture up some steps to the truck, and in the rain to boot. They covered the sofa (we had pre-wrapped the mattresses) and otherwise were very careful with our belongings. When we got to storage unit it didn't look like everything would fit at firs, but Mr. Cohen and his crew of two stacked boxes to the ceiling and "tetrised" the sectional sofa together so that everything fit. When they were done we asked if they could bring the remaining items to the house where we would be staying and they were more than happy to accommodate us (the cost listed above is the total for both moves). We had a last-minute move to do, and with only a week to go before we had to be out of our apartment most movers were already booked or had limited hours. LC Movers hours and willingness to work with us made this an outstanding experience and I would happily recommend them anyone

Larry and his team were flexible, efficient and friendly. They took the time to wrap our more delicate items and quickly loaded and unloaded our belongings. They also remained flexible as we had a last minute change in locations. Thank you for all of your help!

We appreciated the fact that the movers were flexible and, on short notice ,could move the furniture on a Sunday. Very appreciative for this. They need to be more clear about the fact that, although their address on Angie's list appears to be in Towson, they actually come from Fells Point. Other than that they were courteous and did a good job

Moved contents of apartment to two locations in Baltimore. One was a storage center the other was a new residence. The contents included over 150 boxes of books. There were no problems. Everything went smoothly.

Larry Cohen was great. I talked with several movers before selecting LC Movers. He was the only mover who asked for specifics about what and how much I had to move. His estimate was comparable to other movers, but he brought more help. The others could never have accomplished the move in the same amount of time, for the price they had quoted which would have resulted in a much higher cost to me. He maintained contact prior to my move date and he accommodated my need for a two step move. I had to move out the day before I could move in to my new house. He moved everything into the new garage and came back the next day to move things into the townhouse. Larry was very careful with everything and especially so with fragile, or high-end items. He constantly watched and directed his crew. As an added bonus, he was a pleasure to talk with. I can't say enough good things about Larry, his crew and the whole process. While I hope I don't have to move again for a long, long time, I would definitely use LC Movers again.

I contacted Larry to get an estimate to move & dispose of furniture items on a Friday, and he arranged to do the work that Sunday - great turnaround and flexibility! Larry was responsive via phone & email and arrived on time. He & his moving partner arrived ready to work and did the job quickly and efficiently - very important, as we paid hourly for this job.

The mover was on time and did an excellent job. They were very understanding regarding changes and very accommodating. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them again.

I would like to provide a good review, but I can't. It took a team of 4 over 4 hours to move a small amount of furniture just a few blocks. I was completely stunned by the final price, and was encouraged to pay extra for a 24 foot truck, which ended up being only half full. Up until this move, I have always moved myself, and I know that I could have moved with one helper and an 18 foot truck in the same amount of time. To add insult to injury, I found out that our roommate used another service, and they moved her apartment from Baltimore to Annandale, Virginia, with a stop off in between, for less money!

Larry and his team were courteous, organized and hard working. Larry went above and beyond to make my move happen smoothly on short notice, with professionalism and reliability. Would definitely hire him again.

L C Movers were awesome. They were fabulous. They picked up stuff in Norther Virginia and then brought it to my house in Annapolis Maryland. Then they took stuff from Annapolis, Mary land and dropped some off because they're very conscientious about recycling and dropping some stuff off at a thrift place. Their pricing was extremely reasonable. The reason why I used them from your site, was they really care about recycling, that really struck me. Their extreme care in super hot condition, they're moving heavy stuff and they were so careful not to damaging anything whether it's walls or furniture that they were moving. They did everything on the schedule that they said they would. They came in withing the price range that they have estimated.

Larry was prompt and available, so he introduced Tom. He was very flexible and he meet me up at our residence in Northern Virginia and he got there about five minutes before I did. There is a traffic pattern around 495 and he was kind enough to call me to let me know that he encountered traffic. He was very knowledgeable, courteous and patient. The furniture is expensive and he knew how to secure it with a blanket and he knew how to wrap it and tie it with the belt, so it didn't move in the back of his truck. I have no issues with them.

Larry was a pleasure to work with, professional, punctual, and fairly priced. Larry was on time as he promised, his quote for time loading and unloading was accurate. The only "snag" was that Larry used a smaller 15 ft box truck as my parents didn't have that much stuff. He warned me of this ahead of time and he promised that if a second trip was needed he would eat the cost of time. Larry was right and true to his word and did not charge me for the additional trip to their old home on back. On top of everything, the truck I had was too small as well, Larry brought over my remaining items before taking away the rest of my parents stuff. A great experience that took the stress out of moving.

When we got to our house Larry to a lot of care in cover our balustrade and directing his guys so they didn't bump a wall or window going up stairs. I will definitely call Larry for any future small or whole house moves I may have in the future.

The price they quoted was the most reasonable, they had the earliest available date, they arrived on time on the agreed date, and the two guys worked diligently, nonstop until the job was finished. Very pleased.

Overall everything got moved and only one item was damaged. Company took about 1 month to reimburse and it took my wife several reminder calls, but they did eventually send us the check.

The move was perfect! He was very reasonable in his price. The work turned out great, nothing was dropped or broken. Mr. Cohen himself was actually one of the movers. He made an effort to get out for the move earlier than he normally starts for my mother. He was very accommodating. My mother was very pleased! We would certainly use them again.

The owners recognition and respect of quality furniture and art was appreciated. However, he showed up with a rented truck and day laborers pickup off the street. After a half day of work some of the workers did not return and he had to go pick up additional laborers. The move took many more hours than expected. As a result they did not finish the move. They did not return the next day to complete the job and had to be called several times. When the picked up the last load they delivered it to the wrong house and left it in the back yard. They had to be contacted to pick up the items and deliver them to the correct house. LC Movers would be excellent for a single, valuable piece of furniture or artwork, but not an entire house.

Larry is amazing. He's not just professional and efficient. His empathy and kindness makes him the perfect person to help you through the stressful ordeal of a move. When Larry and his crew pulled up right on time, i had been up all night packing and still had a lot left to do. To say that i was in a panic is an understatement. Larry's easy-going helpful nature calmed me down, he and his team helped me pack. I had underestimated the number of boxes i expected to have so they could not fit everything in the large UHaul truck. Larry offered to return the next day with another member of his team to finish the move using his truck. They really came through for me. His team is quite impressive -- they are efficient and strong, and have incredible stamina. In some of the reviews, there are complaints about Larry's lack of communication from people who ended up not hiring him. But you'll also note that the people who did hire him have nothing but praise for him. If you have trouble getting in touch with Larry, don't give up ... Larry is a bit unconventional, but that's part of his charm. Keep calling till you get hold of him, trust me, he's worth the extra effort.

No services were provided. When I called initially, Larry was very professional. We scheduled a time for him to come out and do an estimate for packing and moving. He did not arrive on time and did not call. When I called him, he said he was late finishing a job and would be able to come by later that evening. When he arrived, he gave me a verbal estimate and promised he would send email confirmation. After a week, I called to see what happened with the estimate. He said he would try to get it to me shortly, but he was leaving for vacation. The following week I called again. This time he said he hadn't called or sent the estimate because he assumed he had already lost the job. I gave him another week. Still no written estimate. At that point, I did not feel comfortable that he would even show up and contacted another mover.

He was able to fit me into his schedule on short notice. He was so prompt we actually did the move earlier in the day than we had talked about which was great. The price was very reasonable. They did a great job!

It went superbly. Larry was prompt with an estimate when I initially contacted him, and the job came in way under budget on the actual move day. He and his assistant Gregorio arrived on time, and worked diligently and quickly. Except for a very short water break, I don't think the two of them paused for the three hours of the job. Despite negotiating some tricky staircases, I cannot find a scratch on either the walls or the furniture. After the move, he even stayed to help me put back together some furniture that I had disassembled before the move. I could not be happier with Larry's professionalism and service. I'll happily recommend him to friends and co-workers.

Larry was great throughout the entire experience -- he and his crew were extremely professional. I called Larry to explain the work I needed done: moving several large, bulky, and/or very heavy things inside my townhouse, which meant getting these things upstairs two or three flights up staircases with turns. He was able to schedule the work quickly and at my convenience. The price was reasonable and he really did need 3 guys to move one particularly big, heavy item from the first floor to the third floor. The day of the job, he called in advance to confirm the appointment and work I needed done. He and his crew were prompt, professional, strong, and fast. They got the job done without damaging themselves or my house, which is a win-win as far as I'm concerned considering how big and heavy these things were -- a very heavy folded and rolled carpet and an even heavier solid maple dining room table top were the worst and they did a great job! Very mindful about not scratching the table top or dinging the plaster walls. Seriously, I couldn't have asked for more. It was worth every penny!
