I believe he did a good job. Taught me a few things I needed to know about my furnace. I will get a free inspection/cleaning in the spring due to their lack of promptness in setting up the appointment. I am pleased with that response.

Returned home from a trip on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving to discover my furnace was not working. Called BAR and Henry got back to me in 10 minutes, came out that night, but because my furnace was old he did not have the part. Got the part and came back the next morning. Turned out the control board was bad too so he went back to the supply storehouse Wednesday afternoon and came back on Thanksgiving morning and installed the board. Came back again on Friday to finish and make sure it was running correctly. Henry was terrific and a great example of outstanding customer service.

Our heater stopped working and it's supposed to snow tonight. Henry came to our house within 30 minutes of our call, thoroughly investigated the problem, and already had the part to fix it. Our house is nice and toasty once again. Thanks Henry!

Henry the service guy called me back almost immediately. Not only could they come the same day - he came in an hour! Looked at the furnace, gave me a very fair price, ran out to buy the part, and was back and had it running in an hour. Absolutely no complaints. Prompt, fair and professional. I'm glad I found them.

Great company, great service. Henry came out and diagnosed the AC problem. He was able to clean the system, replace the burnt out capacitor (2nd burnout in 2 years) and give solid recommendations for repair vs replacement costs and long term gains. I will continue to use this company for routine maintenance and installation of a better quality unit in the future.

Within an hour of purchasing the advertised special, Henry from B A R called us to set up an appointment for service. He seemed knowledgeable and showed up promptly to our appointed time. After working on the unit for about an hour he determined that the unit had died and there was no hope reviving it - it was 14 years old after all. WIthin a few days Henry was back and installed our new unit. Around the time he installed our unit, our second unit died. We had him replace it as well. The work was done in a timely manner and we have been completely satisfied. We would definitely hire B A R Appliances again for our HVAC needs.

We had 2 units replaced and we felt the price was very fair. Henry and his team were always on task as they worked to get the job done in a timely manner. While the work was done in a timely and professional manner, I feel the amount paid was too much. I do realize that they have a trade and should make money, but I did pay about $24.00 for the service as an incentive and feel like it cost a lot of money for a $10.00 part and a 10 minute job. Being a person, who does not know the business, I will stick with word of mouth from people I know.

My experience with B A R Appliances AC LLC was a good one. Henry, the service provider, is a rare professional. It's not easy finding a service provider that is prompt, professional, and honest. One of the things that I appreciated most about Henry was the follow-up to confirm the appointment time. To say that Henry is obsessed with customer satisfaction would be an understatement. To say that he is dependable and committed to achieving high quality results would be a disservice to the immeasurable time and effort that he committs to his projects. I recently had the pleasure of getting to know Henry when our air conditioning system died during the hottest week of the summer. Our AC stopped working on a Friday night and by Sunday the heat became unbearable...especially unbearable with 3 small children in the house. I went onto AngiesList late Sunday night to begin the process of researching A/C repair companies and the first one on the top of the list was B.A.R. Appliance. It was the highest rated A/C company in my area so I decided to call. I left a message explaining my A/C issue and expected to get a call back the next day, because who checks their messages on a Sunday night?!? Well, to my surprise I received a call back from Henry almost immediately that night (on a Sunday night!). I told him about my problem and expected him to say that he's busy for the next month, however, he immediately acknowledge the urgency (no A/C with 3 small kids in the house) and said he would make time to come out the NEXT DAY. The following day, Henry arrived on time. He was very friendly and took the extra steps to keep things clean by putting shoe covers on as soon as he entered the house. We briefly chatted about my A/C issue and then he talked me through his process for diagnosing the issue. He started at the thermostat and explained that the thermostat is the first and easiest thing to check (and least-expensive thing to fix) so he talked me through each step as he checked the wiring and programming to make sure it was functioning. From there he and his helper checked the outdoor unit and the air handler in the attic. After 30 minutes Henry was able to determine the root causes and explained in detail how be came to his conclusion. I really appreciated the fact that he explained it all to me and checked the items that were inexpensive to fix (in an effort to save me as much money as possible). My system was over 20 years old and so it was time to replace it (rather than sinking more money into a system that had lived past its prime). I expected Henry to tell me that he wouldn't be able to replace the entire system for another few weeks (since he is the highest rated A/C guy in my area)...however, he told me he would be available to pick up the new A/C system and install it in 2 days....2 DAYS!!! The night before the installation I asked Henry if we should add a heat pump to the system....he agreed and was able to change the order (without giving me any grief about changing the order on the night before the installation). The day of the installation Henry and helper arrived ready to work. They spent the day in and out of the 110 degree attic during the height of the summer heat wave. By the end of the day we had A/C again and Henry was able to help keep costs within our budget. Henry's incredible customer service didnt end there. Over the next 5 days Henry called, texted, and stopped over in the evenings to make sure the system was functioning and not leaking condensation from the attic into the rooms below. Five to six weeks passed and an early cold fall frost came through, so we turned on the heat....and it wouldn't turn off and wouldn't produce heat (essentially acting like a cool fan on constantly in the house). Like our old A/C system, our gas furnace was over 20 years old. We let the problem go for a few days, thinking that it might a sporadic issue or even correct itself). After a few days I decided to contact Henry to see if he had the time to check it out. The next day or day after he was at the house walking me through his diagnostic process again. He quickly identified the issue and clearly communicated the options to me. He even went as far as to search online for the best price on parts for me. Henry is a rare find; a customer service purist who makes personal sacrifices to tend to his customers needs - day, night, weekends, even communicating with me from the hospital as his daughter was having a baby. He's the kind of compassionate person who would give you the shirt off his back and who wouldn't think twice if you called him for a ride if your car broke down leaving you stranded somewhere. When was the last time your service person contacted you days after a repair/installation to check to make sure everything was still ok? When was the last time your service person contacted you to check on your child after she underwent major surgery? My answer would be: "yesterday".

They installed the system without a filter holder and a cover for the heat pump. Mr. Henry promised to complete the work within a week after getting the parts. Even after two months he did not finish the work . Now he is not responding to my messages and telephone calls. I will not recommend this contractor for any work.

After looking at Angie's list, I called BAR appliances to tune up my three HVAC units. Mr. Henry responded and scheduled an appointment quickly. He came at the appointed time. During the inspection, he found that one of the units unrepairable. He recommended to replace it with a new unit. I agreed with his recommendation as the unit was more than 25 years old. Next day he gave me an estimate and the unit comes with 10 years warranty on parts and 5 years on labor.I called few other companies to compare prices and services. I found the prices offered by Mr. Henry was the best. Although I had some doubts about the brand "Goodman", Mr. Henry convinced me that he installed hundreds of units and had no problems. As agreed, he installed the unit within a week. He came back after three days to check if the unit is working properly. So far the unit is working very efficiently. Henry is very prompt, honest, technically skilled, professional and easy to deal with. I highly recommend BAR Appliances for all HVAC jobs.

They were fine. They're good. The worker were fine.

The experience went exceptionally well. The technicians were very cordial and professional. They did not track any dirt or mud into the home. They were very thorough in their identification and determination of the root cause of the problem -- a leak of the coil. They suggested replacement in the fall when unit and labor costs were slightly cheaper, due to low-season.

I called and spoke with Henry. Once I explained the problem, he knew what needed to be done. He came out the next day to assess my problem. He determined that the motor needed to be replaced. He ordered the part and came back the next day and fixed it. This happened during the time we had temperatures between 95 and 100 degrees. He was courteous, very knowledgeable and professional. I would refer him to family and friends.

Henry promptly returned my phone call and we had a conversation about my experience with my ac issue because I had been dealing with another company who quoted a rate so high that I thought of replacing the whole inside ac unit, even though it was new. Henry researched the unit as did the last company and found that we hadn't been duped on our purchase and that the unit was under warranty. They came out promptly and got cold air flowing through the house and then came back on a follow up to look at the evaporator pump which was unrelated to the work that he did. This owner is a good guy who is reasonable, and tireless. I wish my other contractors were as honest as this one is.

It went very well. Our AC stopped working in the middle of the day on an extremely hot day. We needed emergency work and called several providers, all who could not come on the same day. Finally I called B A R appliances and after asking me several questions about our AC, they promised to come late afternoon which they did. They discovered the problem, replaced the broken parts and got the AC running again. Our son was with them the whole time and they explained to him the problem and all that they were doing. He was very satisfied in the way they performed their work, and the positive results attained. Best of all, I felt the charges were very fair as I expected to be charged much more. We are very grateful to Henry and his team and will definitely call them again when in need of their services.

Very well. Our AC stopped working on a 100 degree day. Henry came out in the evening of what I'm sure was a very busy day for him. He identified the problem but could not get the part until the next day. He came out, performed the work and thankfully we are cool again. Very happy we used him and will call upon this company again.
