I called Henry at B.A.R. approximately August 14 and he was able to come out to help me August 15. My air conditioning system had started to leak water onto my basement floor. Henry took care of the problem. He replaced a part, cleaned it up, etc. Wonderful!

Henry was prompt at returning my Angie's list message and followed up with a phone call. He made an appointment with a 1 hour window the NEXT DAY. Most places make clients take 1/2 days off work to get anything done. He also was able to make the appointment after 4 in the afternoon, so I did not have to lose a days pay. He was professional and personable. I was impressed. He quickly diagnosed the issue and the price of the work was included in the service call. He went above and beyond to ensure he had the right part before he attempted the repair, making an extra trip to my house. PERFECT SERVICE.

Henry came out right away when our air conditioning failed. It was an incredibly hot weekend, so we were grateful. The repair was quick and easy, the price was fair.

Initial scheduling was a little slow, but service man was excellent. Very nice, thorough & informative. I will definitely use them again to service my AC in the spring and get a quote from them when my aging system needs to be replaced.

It went Great! The Tech arrived on-time, did a diagnostic on my furnace, and was able to repair it on the spot.

The lead worker was very professional but his assistant was not. My plumber was here at same time for another problem and the water had been shut off and assistant insisted on using the bathroom. Maybe he had a problem. Usually I do not like work people to use my bathrooms unless they are here all day on a project. Other than that, the visit was great.

My air conditioning/heat pump unit stopped producing cool air during one of the hottest weeks of the year. I called B.A.R. Appliances on a Monday and Henry, the owner, was empathetic and came over within an hour to investigate. He performed a thorough check of the outdoor and indoor units and determined there was leakage from the outisde unit which was about 20 years old. My Carrier outisde unit used the phased out R22 refrigerant. Henry presented me options for replacing the outside unit only, or also replacing the 17 year old indoor unit at the same time with a more energy efficient R410A compliant system. Throughout the process, Henry provided me with useful information. He did not push me whatsoever in my purchasing decision. He was able to schedule the complete installation within a few days and to make things easier on my work schedule, actually did the installation on a Saturday. Henry called the morning of the installation with a 30 minute time frame for his arrival. He and his assistant arrived promptly on the day of installation. The installation went very smoothly. They worked diligently the entire afternoon. In addition to installing the new sytem, they took away the old system and did a fantastic cleanup afterwards. Once the installation was complete, Henry went around to ensure cool air flow throughout the house. Henry called me later that evening to make sure that everthing was working properly. He even arranged a no cost follow up visit 10 days later to again check on the entire system. Finally with the new system, he also installed a wifi programmable thermostat. Between the new high efficiency heat pump system and programmable thermostat, I couldn't be happier with the service I received from Henry at B.A.R. Appliances. The company comes with my highest recommendation.

They were great! They were on time and neat. The representative was really nice!

Henry showed up to diagnose a evaporator coil that was icing over. He tested for leaks and found on in the middle of the evaporator coil, so he suggested I replace the coil. In the meantime he added refrigerant so I could cool the house. The next visit he replaced the coil -- it was a big project involving cutting out the old unit and trying to fit a replacement that was slightly different (I have a 8yr old unit and the equivalent part wasn't available). Henry was professional and worked hard to do the best he could given what was there. After installing he got the cooling a bit better than the old unit so we are happy. He has many years of experience and it shows.

They were very responsive but unfortunately they did not have an appointment in the time frame I needed.

New house, air conditioner constantly running in spite of not setting it to "freezing". Henry came out, checked the inside and outside parts, took the coils OUT (which looked horrid!) to clean them. It took 3 tries.Added refrigerant too. MAJOR difference in performance now. HIGHLY recommend!

B.A.R.'s Big Deal was for an air conditioner tune-up ($59). I had my appointment scheduled with Henry on 7/17/15 between 8:30-9:30. He called and let me know he was running 8 minutes (!) late. Very much appreciated the call. When he arrived (8 minutes late), he was very professional and friendly and even was great with my dogs. He inspected my AC unit, discovered that the drain pipe had been incorrectly installed, replaced it at no charge, drained and cleaned the drain, and replaced a transformer-like switch that was within the unit (and had scorch marks). He told me that it really wasn't necessary to replace this switch at this time, but probably would have to be done in the next year or so. I opted to do it now. Henry explained everything thing he was doing as he was doing it so that I could understand how the unit actually worked. I recommended B.A.R. to my neighbor on Sunday when her AC went completely out. By 5pm, Henry was working on her air conditioner. This was on a Sunday! Cannot recommend this company highly enough. Extremely satisfied!

Henry is fantastic. I had bought a Big Deal coupon and made an appointment a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, Henry's truck broke down and he had to cancel. Before he cancelled, he asked me if my AC was working and said if it wasn't he would take a taxi to my house to fix it! How kind and generous is that? I said no, just wanted my AC inspected. He told me to ask for a Refund of my Big Deal, and that the office would give me a new appointment, NO CHARGE. A few days later he called and said he could be at my house in a few minutes. He did, and he spent a good hour with us.

They called when I was unable to get to my email. They came on a holiday. They let us know they would be late, and offered a refund and a free inspection at a later date if they could not perform the service. It rained and they waited until the rain abated and performed the service. They gave us useful information. I highly recommend. Thank you very much.

Henry, the technician, came out to repair my mother's central a/c unit. This was after hours, Henry was already home, having completed his work for the day. Without delay, after calling him, he traveled over 40 miles to ensure that my mother did not spend the evening in a hot home. I cannot thank Henry and B.A.R. enough for their thoughtful and timely response to my concern. Although I am sure that it is an everyday problem, B.A.R. in general, and Henry, in particular, made us feel special and for that I am forever grateful. I would highly recommend B.A.R. to anyone needed HVAC work.

It was great! He pointed out that there was some rust on a particular component of my AC unit and let me know what should be done about it. Arrived on time and was able to answer all my questions.

The tech called to let me know that he would be here in aprox. 30 min. He arrived within that time and introduced himself. I believe his name was Henry. He was so very nice and explained the unit to me, since I live in a mobile home and never had the unit checked. He tested and checked the unit and found a part was almost rusted through. Henry told me that when it rusted through, the unit would shut down but I could either call for service at that time or he could replace the part while he was here without an additional service charge. I chose to have the part replaced that day rather then wait for the unit to shut down on some 90+ degree day. The cost for the service plus the part was excellent. I will definitely call B.A.R. again if I have a problem.

This is a rental property so all communication was handled remotely. The provider was very detailed in describing the additional work needed .
