RC Duct Cleaning

The technician was on time, professional, and courteous. While onsite he cleaned all of my air ducts, and also cleaned my dryer vent which was a separate Big Deal purchase. I was very satisfied with the final work. After the work was completed the technician showed me how much stuff he cleaned out of the ducts and dryer vent.

We also had them clean the dryer vent. I don’t recall there being any troubles with scheduling. One technician came to complete the work and hey completed it in less than an hour. It was a fine experience.

It was okay. The man was great. I thought I was going t get an expensive machine that reached deep into my ducts. It was basically a guy with a shop-vac who cleaned duct to duct. It was something that I could've done. He got up on a stools, up in the air, and around. He put a tremendous amount of effort. I was thinking that some guy with a long wire brush would get deep into the system and knock out the dust that you and I couldn't get to. There were no attachments on the shop-vac. There were no complaints. It was a dirt cheap price. It was being done right before we moved into our home. I'm thinking it did the job. We didn't know the house and were trying to get the system scrubbed a little deeper. He could've been a little more thorough. I should've realized that for that price they weren't going to get a detailed cleaning. I'd never used them before. People should understand what they're getting. He was very nice and polite. He was on time. It was thorough for what he could achieve. This house has about 40 vents. If I had about 20 vents, such as with my old house, I would've said I could've easily done that myself.

Everything was successfully and professionally performed.

The service turned out okay. I would say it would score a 7 on a scale of 1-10.

Left some covers in place, maybe because screws were painted over. Disappointing quality.

He had to get behind the dryer which a tight space. He did a great job and did not complain.

The window of time given to me was 11 to 2 on a Thursday. At 10 a.m., while I was indisposed, the company called to ask if the serviceman could come earlier at 10:30; by the time I heard and returned the call at 10:50, the serviceman had moved on to his next job in another locale (n.b., if the serviceman had just come at 10:30, he would have found me working in the front yard and could have accomplished his task before moving on). I was assured he'd still be coming by during the prearranged, scheduled window, but at noon I received another call saying that he would be at my place much later than 2 but giving no more definite estimate of arrival. The dispatcher even intimated that had I answered the phone at 10 a.m., this wouldn't be happening, as if the responsibility lay with me. My apologies for being indisposed a full hour before the serviceman was expected! I didn't understand that I should be at his leisure all day long -- which is exactly what happened. By 4:50 p.m., there was no sign of him and my phone call to the company went unanswered; by 5:30, the serviceman called to say he was en route; and by 7 p.m. he arrived and did his job in 10 minutes. Let's recap: a three-hour window was given, 11-2, yet the serviceman didn't arrive until 7 pm. I've had cable companies be more reliable! Why is it so hard for such a company to make appointments it sets itself? Does it expect single persons to give up an entire day of work because it's so -- what? Busy, or merely incapable of efficiently scheduling its servicemen? The worker who came by at 7 told me he hadn't even received word from the dispatcher to come to mine until 5:30 pm, when he called me; so what was that whole window even about? Which leads me to the work which took ten minutes, literally. If all that man did was remove the outside vent panel and Hoover-out residual lint, then I could have done that and saved myself the trouble, frustration, and $90. Anyone can do that themselves. Save your money, people, and clean your own dryer vents; if you can't, then find another company!

I had gotten a dryer vent cleaning done through RC Duct Cleaning through the Big Deal offered on Angie's List. A man came in with some brushes and brushed the outside of the dryer where the vent was, which took about 30 minutes, but he didn't really get inside the dryer. The guy was very nice but I just wish they had done a more thorough job because I found lint in the vent after he was done.

The service was a little disappointing. The big deal was for whole house air duct cleaning, but when they got here, they said it was just for one zone house cleaning, while we have two zones. They wanted to charge us that much more for the second zone. The technician himself would have given it to us for a little more charge, but the head office said no. So we only had one zone done. He did a good job

I paid for the big deal but couldn't use it before it expired - wasted money

The quality of the service was not overly impressive. Considering how simple of a job it was, I thought they were sloppy with the work. There were no additional fees beyond the cost of the deal. When the man arrived, he was literally in and out within five minutes. He did not clean the cage on the back side of the vent and also neglected other things. He basically just unconnected it, ran a duster through the vent hole, reconnected it and left. The cost of the deal was not worth the value and I would not hire them for any additional work.

It was fine. They came and did what they were supposed to do. They came on time and they were quite nice and polite. It's one of those things that you don't really know if they did it right or not. There were no additional charges beyond the big deal amount. They came out within 3 weeks after the deal was purchased.

They did a nice job! I had no problems with them. They were on time for the appointment and they were able to come out shortly after I had purchased the big deal. One technician was here doing the work and scheduling was very easy. They cleaned up after themselves very well.

Serviceman man arrived promptly and was very knowledgable. I had just moved into this house and was worried about the dryer vents. He checked everything throughly and showed me they were fairly clean. He changed the way the dryer was hooked up to the vents so that it would vent better.

It was good. I don't think there were any additional charges. They did exactly what we asked, they did it on time, and they cleaned up after themselves.

They were just okay. We live in a 2nd story unit of a condo and the way the system was, the guy that came couldn't guarantee that he was able to get through the clog and completely clean the system because to do so, he would have had to get into some of the other units. He was very nice and he did what he could, but he couldn't really solve the problem.

It went fine...excellent. They were on time and they did a good job. They were hardworking.

It took three days to complete the job. They sent a guy originally who should have been the apprentice. He lost a tool in the dryer vent. I called the company and they finally sent someone back two days later. I had to wait until Sunday to do any laundry. It took the other guy about two minutes to get it out and then he completed the work. I was disappointed because I had to take Friday off and they could not address the problem until Sunday. I was not happy with their customer service. It was a bad experience and I would never use their service again.

They were punctual, efficient and did the work as we had expected. I would probably use them again.

I was reasonably satisfied with their work.
