The technicians showed up when they said they would and performed the maintenance in a very professional and yet friendly manner. They answered all of my questions.

Very well. The technician was punctual, professional and thorough.

Excellent. The estimator, Shane, quickly responded to request for a quote and was the most thorough and knowledgeable of all the estimates I received. He was very open about different options, benefits and costs. He thought job would take 1.5-2 days but texted me a few days before install and said that they could possibly do job in 1 day if started early. I said that was fine but asked them to not come into house before 8. Installers showed up before 7am, started working outside and did not ring the door bell until 8:02 that morning. Not only did I get the two AC and one furnace, but they also installed Nest thermostats and helped me program them. All in all, excellent experience from beginning to end.

Okay for awhile, but just over 60 days later, the air conditioning is out again. I checked with McCrea on 9/22/17, and customer service indicated that there would be a new charge of $109 just for another diagnostic service. My chief complaint is that I've already paid for diagnostic service and repair, leaving me to surmise that this company''s work is not guaranteed, and not quality. I seek immediate resolution of this matter, as the daily temperatures in this region are still seasonably high.

Their technicians were good, but their customer service is terrible. It was like $1700.00, they did gave me a 10% discount because I was a rewards member but it was still really expensive. They gave me 10% off, so it was closer to $1500.00. I would refer them with caution about their customer service and scheduling employees.

Assesed overall condition of Unit as well as recommendations regarding repair/replacement. This went well. Prices discussed, however have not commited to follow thru with this company. Looking for more competitive pricing

We had them Replaced furnace and air conditioning unit. It was installed about a year ago but they came out for a regular service about a month ago. the service was free, part of the contract. I have no complaints, it was all good. They were responsive. they were punctual. I have no problems, it was a good deal when I bought it, it's a good deal now. I don't have any issues with how the service went. i bought it through them and I have no regrets and everything was the same as I felt when I bought it. It was a good deal, I made the right choice. Anytime you buy a major system and it doesn't go right you have a problem. I'm a happy camper.1 worker took less than an hour to complete.

These guys really seemed to know what they were talking about. They made a great recommendation to add a register to our unfinished basement. What a difference! Temperature is regulated better and the musty smell is gone. Really great attention to detail.

I have had them for 15 years and I always give them high marks. They are very reasonably priced. I have a maintenance contract with them and then parts are extra. McCrea has been around here for a long time

After 21 years, our air conditioning system had gone belly up. We had four contractors come in to give us bids. Another problem we've had the entire time we were in this house was that the upstairs -- especially our bedroom, which has a vaulted ceiling -- never adequately cooled down in the summer. John Price came in and did a very thorough assessment of our HVAC system. He explained things clearly so that I could understand the mistakes that were made in the original installation in 1996 as well as how his proposed solutions would address them. In a nutshell, we had a 3.5 ton air conditioning unit but the duct work in the house would only move 1.8 tons of air. He proposed adding a large return in the basement, enlarging the main duct to the first floor and splitting off a duct to create a return high on the wall in our bedroom. Of all the contractors who came to our house, I felt most comfortable with his knowledge and professional assessment of how to fix our problems. John gave us two different options for the hardware (A/C unit, heater etc). We are only going to be in the house for 5 - 8 more years, so didn't want to go with the cadillac options. We were hopeful that the duct work improvements would be enough that a 14 SEER unit would do the job. I am happy to report it is working AMAZINGLY well. The temps are back up into the 90's and our upstairs is the most pleasant temperature we have ever felt in the summer. The day of the installation, John came back to meet with the crew and with me to ensure that everyone was on the same page and that the work would be done properly. The crew (Mike, Cordell and Jason) were one of the neatest work crews we have ever had in our house. They wore booties over their shoes when they were on our first floor. They laid tarps from our patio door to the closet where the HVAC unit is housed in the basement. When they finished installing the returns, they asked for vacuum cleaners so they could clean the debris off the floor. The crew worked an 11 hour day so they could complete the installation in one day. I would unhesitatingly recommend McCrea for anyone who needs a new HVAC system. I had to chase them down to send someone. The technician showed up hours late. I am currently searching for a company to replace our heat pump/air conditioner. I am trying to get a quality company with a good product and great customer service.

Comfort Consultant John Kline came to assess the situation. He was on time, very professional and extremely helpful. He determined I needed 2 new parts and arranged for them to be ordered and will be installed this week. He went out of his way to explain the situation and as it is very warm right now he gave me suggestions on what I could do to minimize the discomfort. He also helped me with my screen door which allows cooler air into the house. I was very happy with the service I received.

This was not resolved. Will look at later.

Never received a call even though appointment and monies paid.

I use them on a regular basis to do the annual maintenance on my system. I pay approximately $130 a year.

Had a new house built in a "golf course neighborhood with resort style living" in Maryland in 2011. Started having problems with the HVAC unit about 3 months after we moved in. Called McCrea and techs would show up pretty promptly, but no one could ever tell us what the problem was or do a permanent fix. So from 2011 - 2015, had over 20-30 service calls - had thermostats and zone boards replaced, lots of work done on system but McCrea would not replace the system, which we felt must have been damaged in some way when it was installed or installed improperly. Long, frustrating story short - had another company come out to service unit, as we lost faith and trust in McCrea, and in one visit they were able to tell us what was wrong with the unit. Unfortunately when we called McCrea we were told the unit is out of warranty and we now have to pay thousands of dollars to get a problem fixed that probably existed since we moved into the house. Doesn't seem fair but the person I spoke to at McCrea didn't really seem to care. Other neighbors have similar stories about MCrea and we are thinking of pursuing a class action suit. Would never recommend this company.

Great; technician was on-time, professional & courteous. The job was completed in a reasonable amount of time.

McCrea was not the cheapest estimate but definitely the Best Value. I got 2 New High Efficiency dual stage Heat Pumps, with variable speed Air handlers installed. They replaced a bad builder unit, I opted to replace both units (the bad one and the working one) with High Efficiency units. They gave me a Veteran discount and labor discount for doing both at the same time. It was a long day for the installers but they did a spectacular job and stayed an extra hour to work with my home automation company to make sure the thermostats were working properly. When they left, it was like they were never here! The new units were in, everything was clean, couldn't ask for more! They found and fixed some minor issues with old system. The new units work great, very happy with the work.!

Only one worker came out to complete the work.

This company is A+. I purchased my HVAC units through McCrea in 2010 and have been using their maintenance program ever since. From the purchase, the installation and bi-annual maintenance check-up, McCrea has delivered superb products and services to us and can't say enough about their technicians. Their professionalism, expertise, and punctuality are second to none. Based on my experience, I highly recommend this company for your HVAC needs.

Basically paid for them to come and listen to air flow. No real assessment given.

The technician was punctual, knowledgeable of a myriad of products and services related to my home HVAC system. He was cordial and answered all my questions accurately. Where needed, he provided guidance and advise. He's work was done in a timely manner and without any mess. The workmanship was excellent and everything works properly since installed.

They need to be less ambiguous about scheduling. They insisted that I just leave my door wide open and they just show up whenever. I said that is not how things are going. The person just hung up when I spoke to her. It's the company, not the technician, that they need to do something about. One person came out to do the work. It took about an hour to complete the work.
