He spent about 3 hours here fixing it. There were parts needed. He was absolutely fabulous. His name is Vincent. He just wouldn't stop working until he figured out what the problem was. He wouldn't leave until it was working properly. It was one of the hottest days of the year. He had another appt., but kept at it until he got it fixed. There was water in the pans below. I had turned it off becasue I was worried about it. They 1st said, 2 weeks. After a couple more calls they were able to callThe person who came was extremely friendly, extremely businesslike - he was excellent. He was very careful, and neat. If you're having someone in your home, he is the one you need.

The technician did not seem to know what he was doing and spent 4 hours doing guess work. He managed to get the system working but spent the whole time calling other techs asking for advice. Two months later the system is not working and McCrea says they are only able to stand behind their work for 30 days. I didn't pay $600 just to get charged more twp months later.

This was a challenging problem. Many other residents in the development have had a variety of problems with this unit. The first technician did a great job and never complained, despite having to climb to the fourth floor with a ladder and equipment and then up onto the roof. Both technicians were extremely professional and the company was both sympathetic and responsive to getting the problem fixed. I'd chosen McCrea through recommendations from neighbors and Angie's LIst and would definitely choose them again and highly recommend them.

John showed up on time and checked the interior and exterior components of the HVAC system. He kept me informed of all results and was very tidy and respectful. I was extremely pleased with the service and look forward to another positive experience in the fall.

The inspection went very well. The inspection required the technician to carry a ladder up to the fourth floor loft to access the roof and he did it carefully and without complaint. He arrived on time, they sent a reminder the night before, and it was quick and easy to schedule the appointment. I'd definitely use McCrea and have recommended them to several neighbors.

On 5/19/2016 9:30 AM, Vincent arrived at our home an inspected the inside & outside units, also set the thermostat.to 68 for air condition during the summer months. He arrived within the specified time given and was thorough, knowledgeable, professional, pleasant, polite and made sure that my warranty was applied to this visit. He advises me to change filters more frequently and cut the air condition off & use the fan when mowing. He had excellent customer service skills . Thanks again for great service.

Twice a year, McCrea contacts me to remind of the semi-annual checkup. I scheduled appointment, confirmed appointment, technician called before he arrived and came on time. He inspected the air conditioning unit, both inside and outside to ensure that all was working well and ready for the summer weather. He provided me info that system was fine and no work was needed. Provided extensive receipt of items that he inspected. No payment was necessary because I have a contract with McCrea that provided two inspections a year.

Vincent (434) has performed our annual service for the last 3 years, he has always been prompt and very professional. It is clear to me that he has a very professional attitude and very knowledgeable. He always shares tip/hints on how to maintain my HVAC system at top performance. The service was performed as promised...on time and at the price quoted. Very friendly & professional tech guy. Will return in Fall to service heating equipment.

They missed a few things and they had to come back to get it done. They could have better communication with their workers.

The A/C is blowing cold air again. However, I assumed a maint check included both indoor system check as well as an outdoor system check. The Tech (George) checked the A/C compressor, notice the compressor R-4xx coolant was low and filled the system with 8 lbs of coolant R-4xx. At least that is what I was billed. Previous techs from other companies only needed to fill the system with 1 - 2 lbs of R-4xx coolant the prior two years. This is a new construction home and their is an apparent small leak somewhere in the line which I need to get corrected this fall. I'm happy the A/C system is working properly again however, I'm a little skeptical about the amount of refrigerant that was required to completely fill the A/C compressor.

I got three companies to come out and give me quotes, but Robert with McCrea was by far the most thorough. He spent an hour explaining my options and answering all my questions. He was very prompt about getting the quotes to me and and following up on any questions I had. My system was installed two weeks later. Shane and Brian showed up before 7:30 but waited politely until then to ring the door. They laid down drop clothes to protect the floor from the front door to the basement, and went to work. About four hours later they were done, did a thorough job cleaning up, and showed me how to operate everything. I am very pleased with how everything went, and would not hesitate to use McCrea again.

They showed up and were very courteous. They conducted themselves in a highly professional manner at all times. They serviced, cleaned and added some coolant to my second zone AC units (cleaned and serviced both zones) as well as both zones of my furnaces and left some great feedback! I will definitely use them in the future and highly recommend them.

It went fine they fixed the problem

Wanted my HVAC at a rental property checked to see if it could be repaired; it was unrepairable and had to be replaced. It was more than 25 years old. Company showed up and did check up.

Technician arrived at exact time he specified. He immediately diagnosed the problem and made the repairs. He was courteous, professional, and handled the job quickly. He recommended what I needed to do in the future to avoid continued problems. Will be following up with McCrae in the next couple of months.

Our furnace would not turn on. We were forced to collect space heaters to keep the house at a temperature that kept pipes from freezing but still left us wearing 4 layers of cloths inside. The McCrea technician came and evaluated the problem; a mouse had chewed thru several of the control tubes that are part of the safe operation system, rendering the furnace inoperable. This is an older unit so parts had to be ordered. This was done the same day and as soon as the parts came in, the company came back and installed them. We got our furnace back just as the storm of the century hit the DC area and we were snowed in for 4 days. We signed a maintenance agreement with McCrea and took care of the rodent too.

John, the service technician, was very professional and helpful. He not only checked over our entire system, did maintenance work, but also reviewed any possible future matters of concern with me. I felt as though John not only represented McCrea but was also someone who was there for me as the customer and homeowner. If McCrea's employees are like John, they should do well in the coming years.

They didn't do too well. They didn't know how to operate the air conditioning unit.

All work performance was quick and easy, plus additional maintenance on other areas of concern were inspected such as the Blower and Circuit Board. Additional inspections and cleaning of connecting areas were performed to increase efficiency and new filter was installed for greater air flow. All safety inspections were completed and confirmed to work properly.

The only thing I didn't like was that they couldn't give me a window for when they would arrive, but they said they would call me 30 minutes before they arrived and they did. They were in and out in about 20 minutes. I was pleased.

It did not go well. I reached over him and turned on the circuit breaker and then he tried to charge me for a repair. He diagnosed the problem and then he tried to charge me an additional $49. He wanted me to sign off on it and I've called McCrea twice and I have yet to get a call back from any of their offices to dispute that charge. They did not touch the circuit breaker. I held the flashlight and he said that my circuit breaker was off, so I flipped it. I refuse to pay it. I would say it was lousy, I have called them twice and they won't call me back. There was no work done and he was punctual. I didn't feel intimidated, even when I challenged him for handing me a bill with an additional $49 which, I refused to sign. I didn't feel intimidated by that.

Service rep was fine. He did his work professionally and explained the resulting findings. The only reason I'm not giving McCrea Heating an "A" on my service call is because of the service appointment window they gave me. They gave me a day, 8 to 5, and couldn't give me a time or window within the 8 to 5. I was told I had to be available that day and I would get a call 30 minutes before arrival. They locked down my entire day! Felt like they could have narrowed down the appointment time better and called if running late.

John Kline was prompt, knowledgeable, productive in diagnosing, quoting price and setting up an install date. He was very personable and went above to explain the difference in units, warranties and rebates.
