Inspection - I called on a Monday to make an appointment to have the panel inspected which was an Angie's List special offer. No one called me back until Wednesday. Paul came to do a panel inspection (the results of which I weren't told) and I also requested a quote for installing two dedicated circuits. Agreed to have JKJ do the work - estimate: approximately $400. Day work to be done - Arrival time scheduled before noon but at 12:30 no one had arrived or called. I called office and left message on their machine that I wanted to know when to expect the workmen but no one called back. The office must have called Paul because he called shortly after and said they were running late. They finally arrived around 1:30 or 2:00, did the work as requested. Workmen were all pleasant. It wasn't until after the work was done and Paul was preparing my bill that I asked him what the panel inspection revealed. I wanted to see if he was going to volunteer this information, after all it was an inspection and I should have been told the results. It sounded like some work was needed to upgrade the panel it but I decided to get a second opinion. The most annoying thing was the price. For a small job, I expect the the estimate to be pretty close to the actual amount. The $400 estmate turned out to be $526. I thought it was rather expensive for the work involved. I'll try someone else next time.

The work was done in an extremely professional manner with the end-result looking nice and neat. The electrician showed concern about such things as where the dryer was to be placed and so on. He answered all questions very satisfactorily. I was very pleased with the final price which was $236 and will definitely use this company for any electrical work in the near future.

I knew exactly what I wanted to be done. I started the project myself, but when I opened existing bathroom outlets, I found a mess of old wire that I was confounded by. I decided to call in experts. However, it saved me time and money that I knew the wiring runs in my house. I had used JKJ for a heavy-up, new panel 2 years ago and was very pleased with the work. Their price is fair, if not cheap. This time they did a great job with my bathroom wiring, too. The crew was likable and professional. I'd use them again. My one complaint is that JKJ charged around $125 for parts such as cable, plugs, electrical box, etc that couldn't have cost more than $25-$40 from Home Depot. I felt like calling the company to complain about the high cost of parts, but I'm satisfied with the work and when I compare them to other companies I've had work on the house recently, like having fence built, chimney repair, I"m so much more pleased with this experience, I let it go.

They were on time and reasonably priced. Professional and the job was done correctly.

Arrival was prompt. Communication was excellent. Work was flawless and thorough. The technician was supremely qualified, straightforward, and considerate. I cannot recommend this company any higher; they gat my absolute highest recommendation. They definitely will be the company I will use for future electrical needs. In fact, I've already scheduled another visit for some other new work!

My husband bought a GFCI receptacle for a bathroom and unsuccessfully attempted to install it. We called JKJ late the afternoon of January 16 and they promised us someone 11-2 the next day. The electrician arrived when promised, and installed the receptacle in less than five minutes.

Their electicians did a great job -- they provided an estimate and completed the work within the estimated price. They were on time for the installation job and were through, professional. they did a great job and are a pleasure to work with.

The summary: Very attentive on the phone, responsive, and cordial. But performed a subpar service. And, they did not keep their word on fixing the subpar service, after agreeing verbally to do it, over a call. The long form: Representative from JKJ answered the message on a timely manner. Was professional and extra cordial over the phone. Gave a very steep price for the service (north of $300, said it was a fixed fee). Went to the house, that is rented, talked with the tenant, and performed the service. Namely, used a couple of screws to screw the box back to the house. And left the whole box not even aligned with the matching wall mount, with a terrible finished quality Called me to get the payment, and had to be reminded to honor an Angie's list coupon of $50 off "your first service". After the reminder, honored the coupon with no problem. I got a picture from the job and immediately called them. Asked candidly: If someone performed the same job on their own house, and charged them the price they charged, if they would consider that fair. Gentlemen on the phone immediately said he would go back, and not only put the box back in the correct frame, but replace any possible rotten wood in the frame. I even asked them if this extra visit to fix their work would require extra payment, since I need the house in great condition (and I don't wan't anything less than a great job on things that touch electrical). I told them that I would pay, if they told me this was necessary. They said that no extra payment would be required. Up until now, never called or came back to fix the job, as promised. I have pictures of "before" and "after", but can't find a way to include them here.

Joe and his coworker did the work and did an excellent job. To interconnect the smoke detectors he had to fish through the walls and also through the attic. He made only three wholes to connect five smoke detectors and connect the smoke detectors to an existing smoke detector in the basement. So there smokes on three different levels that he had to connect. To do that with only three holes, two of which were quite small was a major feat. They did an excellent job.

Nothing more to say----the electrician arrived promptly, did exactly what we expected, worked in a professional manner and completed the job quickly so my husband and I could leave for work.

It was a good experience. They were about an hour and a half later than expected, but we were the last appointment of the day and they did call and tell us about the delay. On site, they covered everything and cleaned up nicely. They were courteous and professional. They stayed until the work was done, not leaving until after 7pm. We are very pleased with the results.

They removed my old attic fan and installed the new one with no problems and showed me how to adjust the thermostat control if needed. There were two minor issues that stopped me from giving them an "A". The first is that they did not have a ladder on the truck that was tall enough to "safely" get up into my attic. It's just a standard 8" ceiling access but they only had a short step ladder. I already had a 6" A-frame ladder nearby so it wasn't an issue and I'm sure they would have made it up there using there own if they had too (just not safely). The other issue was that I discovered several decent sized shingle pieces laying in my yard when I mowed a few days later. They removed the shingles to install the new vent hood on the roof so, clean-up could have been better.

They installed a new light switch and ceiling fan and the work was done fast and of high quality. They cleaned up the area afterwards and also did a demo of the functions on the ceiling fan. Would highly recommend the company and would use again for future electrical work.

We were very pleased with the estimator (Warren) and the office personnel at JKJ, and even more impressed with the electrician they sent to complete our project, Jason. Jason was courteous, careful and extremely creative. The rework that was required in our home was enormous, yet Jason found creative ways to accomplish the project, with minimal disruption and damage. While we have nothing but high praise for Jason and most of the helpers that participated on the project, we did have problems with one of the helpers. After discussing our concerns, that particular helper was removed from the job site. All in all we were very pleased not only with the administration aspects of the job, but certainly with quality of work and the outcome.

They came right on time, checked out and fixed the outlet at the pond, then came in and just as efficiently checked out the indoor switch and found and fixed the problem in the fixture. Because of my work schedule they would not have been able to come for several weeks, but they went out of their way to squeeze me in first thing in the morning, so I wouldn't have to wait so long. I will definitely use them again, the next time I have a problem or need!

They were very good. I like them. They were quite reasonable. They did a good job. They did the job pretty quickly. They were on time and on schedule.

I called on Tuesday. Made the appointment for Thursday a.m. They arrived on time. I showed them where I wanted the work done. They completed the work promptly and accomplished a walk light system repair. This is the second time I have use JKJ. I will use them again for any additional electrical work.

I called JKJ Electric, Inc. with an immediate need for GFI outlets. First, Sharon understood the urgency of my request and scheduled same day service. Secondly, the technician arrive promptly and completed the job thoroughly and professionally .I would definitely use again.

Our attic fan went on the fritz and we called JKJ to install because we saw that they had a special on attic fans. The workman arrived within the time frame stated, was polite and professional, wore footies in the house and completed the work within a reasonable amount of time. There were no surprises in the final bill which has not always been the case with some contractors. We were very satisfied with the work and it is nice to have an attic fan that works especially in this exceedingly hot weather.

Let me start by saying that the service the electrican provided was excellent. I have no complaints. Where the company let me down was in the front office. I had called to schedule an appointment and they said they would call me back with the day and time. They never did. Therefore I scheduled a different electrician. But somehow the work order was sent out and the electrician came in the morning. I then had to cancel my appointment with the other company. JKJ would have received top marks had the communication and planning been carried out better. Their prices were a little bit more (about 25 an hour) than the other company i had contacted.

Great job from start to finish--detail oriented, polite, careful attention to the job and all of the work was completed in less time than originally estimated. I will use JKJ in the future!

I called on Tuesday and had I been available, they could have come out to see me that day. I scheduled for the next morning and Paul showed up within the first 30 minutes of the arrival window provided (you taking notes, RCN Cable?). He was very professional and friendly. I gave him the walk-through and told him everything that needed to be done. He finished in less time and below the estimate based on my description of the work over the phone (which was already the cheapest estimate I had received). He even double checked the box to make sure it was correctly labeled since the pencil had worn off on some of the fuse labels. Overall, I was very impressed and will be using JKJ for all my electrical work in the future.

I phoned early that morning, spoke with Paul. He was able to schedule a time the very same day to complete my task of electricity for an attic fan and light. Joe and Conth were fabulous, speedy, friendly and should I have future needs, I hope they send these two. It was all done in less than a hour and the price quoted, to my surprise was much lower. They knew what they were doing, and went about doing it to my satisfaction. Great experience.
