That was okay. I only paid the 39 dollars. We checked it out and everything was okay.

First, the provider did not follow up to schedule a day when we purchased the deal as indicated. We had to call and schedule. When we spoke to Mr. Bentz initially, we scheduled an appointment and mentioned we wanted to hang a light and we had very tall ceilings. He said that was not part of the deal we purchased as they need to rent a special ladder but there was nothing in the fine print that indicated as such. Mr. Bentz said he would honor the deal this time, which I appreciated. However, the day the employees arrived, they unaware of the need for the special ladder and said they do not do that. I called Mr. Bentz and he immediately said they don't do that as part of the deal. I reminded him of the conversation we had previously and he said he would not honor the deal that they would lose money doing it. He became more combative, told me to get my money back and hung up the phone. I believe he was unprofessional in handling this discussion. He did not care that we had spoken and discussed this issue before. The two electricians who came were great and very professional and apologetic, but had to leave. It is too bad as I think they would have done a terrific job.

Everything went very well. They were very responsive and professional. The only hick-up came in the form of a delay for pepco to approve the work. Once pepco came and gave the okay, it was smooth sailing. The workers were professional and courteous. I would definitely do business with Bentz Electric again.

It went well, we couldn't do everything on the list, but they worked hard to make everything look good and function properly.

A crew of two electricians came, which means four hours to get everything done. We wired a bunch of switches in walls and attic, did a good job mostly, with a little sloppy work on some of the drywall, but good with the wiring etc. Great bang for the buck, provided you have all your projects lined up and ready to go.

The work took must of the day. We got our money's worth. These Big Deals are usually worth the money no matter what the work. One of the motion light wasn't working but they came out and re-tightened a wire and then it worked.

Overall I was pleased, and it would have cost me a lot more to have that job done if not for the Angie's List deal.

I recommend them highly and will use them again soon.

I bought this deal because we had just moved into a house and our daughter really wanted her ceiling fan from our old house in her new room. The two other rooms in the house already had ceiling fans but they had single wall switches, I prefer the double switch so I can easily control the light and fan separately from the switch. My husband had attempted to put up the ceiling fan himself and in short order realized it was beyond his capability. Somehow, the kitchen light quit working at the same time. When I called Bentz to schedule, he let me know that it would be about a month before he could get me in the schedule, which sucked, but I understand when companies do these Angie's List deals they can get overwhelmed by the response. Anyway, after a month the day arrives and two Bentz electricians show up on time to do the work. I was at work but my mother was there to let them in. They got right to work and said the parts (new wall switches) would be extra, which I expected. The boss brought them the proper switches and they swapped them out and got everything working. They also reattached the wiring that my husband had somehow dislodged to the kitchen light. The next morning my mother noticed her ceiling fan was not working and was getting warm. She called Bentz back and Mr. Bentz, the owner, came right over and did some troubleshooting to discover that whoever had installed that fan (not Bentz) had wrapped the pull chains around the light sockets in a weird way. He fixed it right up with no charge. All is working great. Overall in buying the deal, I probably overpaid for the small amount of work that I had for them to do but the two electricians were very professional, seemed very knowledgeable and they did the job well. In addition, the great customer service of the owner coming back over himself the next day to fix something that was not due to his employees' work means that I would definitely hire this firm again in the future if I have any more electrical issues.

Two technicians showed up in a timely fashion. Had a bit of a problem finding the address and did not have a number to call. Waited in a general location in close proximity to my address until I called to ascertain the whereabouts of the technicians.Technicians were efficient, professional, skilled, timely and knowledgeable about their craft and most of all very, very friendly. Very impressed and pleased with Bentz Electric. I would highly recommend this company too others and definitely will use them for any future electrical needs.

Jeremy and Shawn were GREAT!! The price was so good, I was expecting to sort or get what I paid for. Got FAR FAR more than I paid for! They corrected some dangerous things done by prior electricians and did so without ANY drywall or plaster damage. They explained what they were doing but not in an obnoxious way where they are trying to upsell you (like another company I've used on here). In other words, they don't take glee in expanding the scope of the job-- just wanna help you get it done. They didn't go over the time required but you could tell if they had they would have acted like normal humans about it unlike some electric companies. If the point of these deals is to get a customer for life, it worked. We will absolutely ask for Jeremy and Bentz Electric again!

I asked them back to do an additional job. They were great: fast, efficient, expert, helpful and neat. What more could you ask for?

Overall, we were very pleased. The electricians were friendly, explained everything clearly and went above and beyond to ensure a serious electrical issue we had was correctly fixed. They were also careful to clean up after their work, which I appreciate, since I've had other service providers leave a mess behind. I would definitely hire this company again - they are professional, trustworthy and pleasant to work with.

They did their job. I think the pricing was good. It was probably reasonable. I don't have a really good basis for comparison. I was satisfied. They were good.

We purchased a "Angie's Big Deal" for 8 hours of electrical work for $399 as we just moved into a brand new house that needed all sorts of electrical stuff done. The home builder had wired for the fans and pendants but Bentz came to do the actual install. I was not actually expecting them to do everything on our list but Jeremy and Shawn were amazing! Scheduling with John was easy and he scheduled us within a few days of my call. We also got an confirmation email the night before. Jeremy and Shawn arrived on time and immediately got to work. They were professional, efficient, and extremely pleasant ? even chatting with our 2-year old! We weren't expecting them to have the time for the dimmers but they said that the builder's pre-wire made install very easy ? appreciated their honesty! They sent my husband to a hardware store to get the right hardware for the job since we hadn't purchased the correct things for 3-way set ups, even though they could have finished early and left. (Note: Big Deal was for labor only ? not parts/hardware.) After the work was complete, we discovered a problem with the pendant light wiring that John immediately sent the guys back out to look at. Turns out to be a wiring issue caused by builder that they offered to fix but as we have other roughed-in items in the house, we prefer to have the builder fix it. Over all, this was a very positive experience and we will definitely use Bentz Electric again! Kudos to John for his terrific team!

When I contacted Bentz Electric about this work I indicated that I would like it completed promptly. Mr. Bemtz was very responsive to this request. His two electricians arrived promptly at the scheduled time (having called ahead to confirm they were en route). They found that two fixtures needed to be replaced and they took care of obtaining the replacement fixtures and then installing them. They also checked out the overall status of the electrical system in the house. The work was performed professionally and all within a fairly short period of time. In addition to their professionalism, the two electricians were extremely courteous. I would be very happy to use Bentz Electric again and to recommend them to others.

Was able to quickly and efficiently find the solution to a problem where some outlets in our living room were not working. I had originally used my home warranty to put in a claim for this issue. The company that was sent did some diagnostic work and ultimately came up with a funky diagnosis and gave a high charge to fix it if my warranty didn't cover it. Well my warranty didn't cover it (based on how that company described the problem) so I was left to fend for my own. I contacted Bentz Electric because of their great reviews here and they did a great job fixing the issue.

I called Mr. Bentz on Thursday and made an appointment for him to come the next day. He called me back and showed up on Friday afternoon. It turned out that an outlet on the same circuit as the closet lights was defective. He replaced the outlet and the lights worked fine. It took less than an hour. The price was a bit higher than I had expected, but the service was prompt, courteous and efficient.

I needed more lighting in our basement and hired Bentz to do my job when I saw their Special Deal. I was very pleased with the workman ship. They explained everything that would be done... we discussed some alternatives since it wasn't possible to do it exactly how I envisioned it. I'm very happy with the result and so is my husband, who enjoys playing ping-pong in better lighting.
