Bentz Electric came to my house and completed a good job on a long list of electrical to-do items that came out of my home inspection. It was a little difficult to get scheduled, and the first appointment had to be cancelled due to an employee calling in sick, but these things happen and John Bentz came to my house personally to tell me. He also ended up coming out to my house the second time around to perform the work and made it most of the way through my list!

first scheduled visit was with the owner previewing work to be done. arrived during window of time given. very nice. second visit 2 work men showed up. we walked through the work to be done in the 8 hr window (4 hr with 2 people). they said it was all doable. one gentlemen worked on installing the new fans the other worked on trouble shooting the other fan, then replacing switches. things were going well. however i have an older home and something happened. most likely an old wire frayed or broke behind my plaster walls. My hall lights stopped working. they got the ceiling fan working but it stopped working.By the time they left several hours past the original stop time, they had our entry hall light working. conclusion: they stayed past their 4 hours trying to get things right. the owner came back the next day for several more hours! I have working lights now, they are no longer 3 way lights though. I can live with that until i can afford to replace my older wiring. if you turn the light off upstairs you have to go upstairs to turn it on. same with the downstairs hall light. with regards to the ceiling fan, it has a remote and i was told to purchase a new remote and if i had any trouble replacing it, they would come back. The workers were courteous and cleaned up after them selves (thank you). They were mindful of covering furniture/cribs when installing ceiling fans. I will definitely use them again.

We were impressed with Bentz Electric for a number of reasons: First, they responded quickly to come out for an estimate and proceeded to turn that estimate around quickly. They gave us a fair price given the scope of work (1 full day with 2 guys on site); second, they managed to squeeze us in early to coincide with the delivery of our heater; and third, they did a great job with the work, and cleaned up as if they'd never been here. This company was a true 'A' for all categories. We will certainly call them again for future projects.

Great job installing cooktop - had to increase ampage at circuit breaker and install new wiring to deal with increased ampage. Cooktop did not fit granite space and so helped widen space with cutter to fit. all jobs done expertly and cleaned up after. Very courteous and fun. Would definitely use again.

Had a great experience with the team from Bentz. They worked hard and accomplished an incredible amount within our 8 hours of electrical work. The prices they quoted for future jobs also seemed very reasonable. Overall, very impressed!

Two polite, personable young men (John and Sean) showed up at my door at 8:55 for my 9:00 appointment. While Sean brought in their tools, ladder, etc., John and I reviewed the scope of the work for the 2 ceiling fan installations, which included going into the attic to install electrical boxes, since there weren't existing ceiling fixtures in the bedrooms. John showed me the necessary location of the fans, based on the placement of the beams, and got my approval before proceeding with the installations. They got to work around 9:15, and finished in around 3 hours. I had to scrounge around for some light bulbs so they could demonstrate the operation of the lights, fans and switches (I hadn't thought about them needing 3 bulbs each!). They cleaned up the work areas completely. I thought that was it, and I was pleased with the work, but John asked if I needed anything else done, and I had bought replacements for all four of my outside lights, so I asked if they could do that. He explained that they would do what they could in the time allotted, and they could stop then, or I could pay the regular hourly rate if they went over. I agreed, and they finished within 45 minutes! Excellent, efficient work on the original job, which was the 2 fans, and the bonus 4 outside lights was a pleasant surprise! I think I got great value for my money-I would have been happy with the 2 fans for my $349 (plus parts of $85), so the 4 outside lights were a bonus! I would definitely use them again.

Workers arrived on time. They were courteous and professional. We went over what I wanted done and they got it all done quickly, cleanly and securely. They made some welcome suggestions without trying to sell me and were on their way. The light fixtures look great.

We had a deal for two electricians for 4 hours, but theere were three for most of the afternoon, and they finished up in 3 hours. I feel I got my money's worth. They were very accommodating in getting as much work done as possible in the time allowed. I felt it was well worth the expense. The crew is super-friendly and very skilled, as well as careful not to cause a mess. Some of the work required care due to the age of the house. For example, they drilled through from the living room to make the outside outliet rather than going underneath via the crawl space, saving time.

We had a very difficult time getting a hold of each other. When we finally did get in touch, he called me and said I'm really busy, I will see you in a few weeks.

They arrived onsite late. When the work was completed I had electrical issues and breakers burning out in my house. I called them to come back out and to fix the issue and they committed to a day a time but never showed up. I have no idea why they have an A rating their service is horrible!!!! Do not use them!!!

I have tried contacting this company and have received no answer and the voicemail is full so I will not be using this company.

It turned out fine. The electrician was at the home for about an hour. They could work on their punctuality to make the experience excellent next time.

It was a big deal purchase and it was not that great. It was eight hours of electrical work for one person or four for two. They did three hours and fifteen minutes and they didn't ask me if there was anything else I would like done. Considering I had two people so forty five minutes time seemed to hour and a half of what I paid so I was not happy with that. They said they couldn't do one, they gave me an excuse and another one they gave me a reason. I'm not happy with them and I'm not going to use them again. I would advise them to do their time that they get paid to do. When they send two people that is less work time because they tend to talk and that was exactly what they did. Their price was good. I was called back immediately to set up an appointment.

The owner was not transparent. The first time the inspection failed and he did not clearly tell me why it failed and what needs to be done to fix. Very frustrating.

I have been corresponding with him for several weeks since I purchased the Big Deal. We solidified a date and asked what needed to be done in the 8 hour work day. I detailed everything in the email and he replied 'sounds good'. I confirmed via email for them to show up at 8 a.m., they showed up at 8:50 a.m. Two men show up, so now a four hour job which is fine but then I called the owner directly and asked how many hours and he said I do not know. The worker said 16 at best at $125/hour. I asked the owner why he did not tell me when this when I gave him the detailed information in the first place. They said they don't know until they get there. Finally as I was ready to concede with the outcome until the owner said if you feel like you can get it for less than $399 then have and I do not know what else I can do, and asked if I was trying to win an argument. I said I was not arguing, I just felt like I should have been provided with this information prior to your men walking through the door. The gentlemen here I had no issue with, it was the owner Mr. Bentz, who is the problem. I would have been willing to use the service and pay the additional costs if he would have told me up front this was a big job and have someone come over to give an estimate. From a customer service perspective he could have done everything different.

John (owner) offered to come in on Sunday (I called Sat. afternoon) as his Monday was booked up. Very responsive with call back and texting his status coming to our house. Repair done in less than an hour. Very professional. Would call again.

We had 5 lighting fixtures installed including a ceiling fan. It was a great value, the electrician was professional and on time. We were pleased. Will use again.

It was not perfect. I asked to install some low voltage exterior lighting that I bought. One of the lights doesn't work. .It is low voltage lighting-it comes with a box and you plug it in. There were three different boxes and then altogether may be like ten spot lights coming off the three different boxes. A bunch of things were not great; one of the boxes doesn't work- the light is not working. On the other, there were like three or four path lights that were coming off from one box, one of those lights hasn't worked from the start and they came back a couple of times but it still never worked. They never fixed it or told me what was wrong.

They were efficient, professional, and I would use them again.

The additional work was performed by two employees, again excellent work installing two additional circuits in our basement. We articulated we were interested in additional work to hang a new chandelier in our 20 foot high entry way. Workers said the owner (who performed the initial work) would contact us with pricing and scheduling info. Following two calls inquiring about this additional work, we were never called back. Additionally, the original scheduling for the initial work did take two or three phone calls. It shouldn't be that difficult to schedule work and there was no follow-up to our third request for electrical work. Bottom line, excellent work but everything else was sub-par.
