T & D Duct Cleaning

I got the name of T&D Duct Cleaning from another well-regarded and highly rated contractor on Angie's List to clean our HVAC duct work. The odor coming into the house was unlivable for my wife who is allergic to mold and mildew. So, we contacted T&D to clean our ducts in the attic (we have a separate heating and cooling system). They responded with good cheer, on time, and well prepared. They went into the attic looked at my air handler and took pictures. Cleaning the DUCTS was not going to fix the odor problem my wife was suffering from. That is one of those "good news, bad news" lines you get. The bad news is cleaning your ducts is not going to fix this problem. The good news was they just saved me the cost of the service. I have been in management for over four decades. The goodwill T&D generated by being upfront is HUGE. How refreshing. In addition to all the good reviews this company receives for work they PERFORMED, you should add the goodwill they deposited by demonstrating honesty and integrity into their business model. They could have easily done the work, not eliminated the problem, and said, "Oh well, we cleaned your ducts as prescribed." Ever experience that from other contractors? I have. Excellent Service from T&D! Highly recommended I called T&D on Wednesday morning to help us rectify a botched job, I explained to Gwen (she was wonderful) that we had another company come and clean our air ducts on Saturday (3 days prior). After the first company left on Saturday, we replaced our furnace filter and within 48 days it was pitch black with dirt and dust and our air quality had deteriorated, it was so bad that we decided to turn off the central air to stop circulation throughout the house. Even though T&D was fully booked that day, Gwen made every effort to contact the technicians to see if they could get to our house asap to evaluate the situation. Andrew K. and Matt arrived, checked everything out and determined that the previous company had not cleaned out the return vent and it was in really bad shape (we took a picture of what they extracted and it was shocking that the previous company completely skipped over such a large part of the job). Andrew K. and Matt were extremely professional, friendly and really knew what they were doing and we thank them so much for their efforts in getting our house back in order. T&D is a top notch company with top people, I HIGHLY recommend them!

I got 10% off because they're on Angie's List. They were careful about their shoes and so on on the carpet. They were really good when we went around counting the vents and so on and if there was a lower vent and at the top there was a second vent, they didn't count that second vent as a separate one. Since I had a recommendation from the heating and A/C company I used, they gave me $15 off and then I told them I got them off of Angie's List, that gave me 10%, Overall, I got about a 16% discount which was excellent. They were clean and polite. They were careful with which screws and which plates went where. There was no mess or fuss. I was shocked.

Very punctual, cutious and professional. Worked quickly and efficiently. When don showed me the stuff from my vents in the filter they use. It was immense. I would reccomend them to everyone and anyone. It is so nice to know all that dirt dust and spores are gone from my home.

They were professional and prompt. Showed me ways to increase duct life. Their work resulted in a much cooler AC airflow on level 2 of the house. Said the same would be true in winter with heat flow. No more need for window unit upstairs!

As stated above, overall I was very pleased with the service.

Seemed a little pricey but they did say it would take several hours to do. It ended up only taking them an hour so then it seemed extremely pricey for the time they spent here. Seemed to do a thorough job but not sure how to verify that! Quick response. same day service. Professional. I wanted to get it done quickly given an issue i had with my dryer and was worried about the lint build-up in there so i didn't shop around. next time i would get a couple of quotes.

The technicians were prompt and professional and the service was excellent. They also cleaned my kitchen exhaust fan which was not a part of the original job.

I needed someone to clean the ducts in my rental property after some drywall work. I scheduled with T & D Duct Cleaning, but had to reschedule twice because the drywall work took longer than expected. The office staff was courteous and helpful and accommodating throughout the scheduling and rescheduling process. The communication was excellent and the office staff applied appropriate discounts including cleaning the dryer vent for free and a 10% Angie's List discount for the remainder of my bill. The service providers showed up on time and were professional and courteous to my tenants. I will definitely use this company again, and plan to hire them to clean the ducts in my home soon. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Dave and Mike arrived at 8:30 AM and made a walk-through of the house to determine locations and number of all air vents. They explained thoroughly the steps they would take and the cost. As they did the work, they were very careful of the furnishings and were very good about cleaning up afterwards. The house has two heating/cooling zones, so it took until 12:30 PM to finish that part of the job. Mike then crawled under the deck to access/clean the dryer vent. They completed the entire job by 12:45 PM. I am very pleased with their work and with the result.

I cannot praise this company too highly. I received an accurate estimate over the phone followed by the cleanings a week or so later. The workmen were very professional, polite and attentive to my requirements, and performed the tasks quickly and without a hitch. They arrived on time, performed the tasks requested and left my home in A-1 condition. I will definitely use T&D in the future and will recommend them to others. A first-class operation.

I received a time window of arrival from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., and the two gentlemen arrived at 11:55 a.m.--very prompt. They did a walk through the house and counted the vents; and immediately gave me the same price as originally quoted over the phone (it included the Angie"s List discount). In addition, they were polite and courteous--they worked fast yet efficiently. When the heat came on, I immediately felt the difference. A job well done.

We had T&D do those services in our condo unit prior to us moving out and making it a rental unit. The team did a great job and in fact, alerted us that our dryer vent hose had become unhooked from the exterior venting outlet - requiring a fix by our condo company. They did a great job cleaning up after themselves and putting all the vents back in place.

We used T&D for 2 dryer vent cleanings at our new home - they did a great job (late August 2012). In Oct 2012 we used them to do air duct cleanings because we had had a great experience with them at another property we own. The team that came was professional and on-time, but after they left, we realized they left 3 of our vent covers off. We had a lot of vent coverings but I was disappointed, especially given that one of the covers they left off was a large return, in our playroom, right near the floor, and large and low enough for one of our toddlers to crawl into. Luckily my husband saw it before our kids went into that room and fixed it. Despite that oversight, I would still hire T&D again but would make sure they put all the vent covers back before they left my home.

They were on time and extremely professional. I was very impressed.

At first I thought that they would not honor the appointment first made, but they did go through "h*** and high water" to get in touch with me to reschedule and perform the services on the day that was first made. I like them, they did great!!

T&D Duct Service was great. They came exactly when they said they would, their technicians were 100% professional and courteous.The job that they came to do turned out to be much more challenging than they expected due to some unforeseen obstacles in the ceiling in which they had to route around in the installation of a new duct/vent for our dryer. They stayed late, stuck to their estimate and cleaned up without a trace. I am planning on having them come back to clean the ductwork of our entire house. I would absolutely recommend them without hesitation.

It was a wonderful experience. The man came out in the time frame, introduced himself, finished in the time frame he gave me, and it was a pleasant experience.

I live in a condo and in my neighborhood, the birds find that the dryer vents make the best place to build their nests. This Spring, my lovely dryer vent had feathered guests take up residence. I went on Angies' List to find a reputable company to take care of the problem. I had trouble finding a company that could install a bird guard high off the ground. Some companies would say they couldn't install the bird guard but would clean the dryer vent. Even after I told them that unless they could install the bird guard as well, I wasn't interested. After researching several companies, I selected T&D Duct Cleaning as they were the only one who said they wouldn't have a problem installing the bird guard so high up. Also, they didn't charge extra for the removal of bird's nests like some other companies I contacted. It was a flat fee for the dryer vent cleaning (including nest removal) $175 and an additional $25 for the bird guard cover. Due to a request by T&D Duct Cleaning to change the time of my appointment, they gave me a $15 discount. I would use T&D again and would recommend them to my friends and family.

The two young men, Mike and Dan, showed up on time. They were extremely courteous and knowledgable about the work to be done. They went up on the roof to do their work and pointed out to me some work that I need to have done on the stucco around the chimney, which was much appreciated. Both Mike and Dan were very good. I stood next to the dryer and could feel the vacuuming. I did this because I had this work done on a previous house and saw two of the workmen just sitting next to the vent. That was from Sears. I would definitely use T & D again and ask to have Mike and Dan do the work. I will also refer to friends and family.
