T & D Duct Cleaning

T&D gave me a 4-hour window for their arrival time. -- 1:00 to 5:00. They showed up at 5:15. I called the company about 5 minutes after 5:00 to say they were not here yet. No one answered, so I left a message. No one ever called me back to apologize or explain what happened. The guys who showed up at 5:15 got right to work, and the whole operation took less than 10 minutes. The guy who came indoors walked onto my recently cleaned off-white carpet without asking if he should take his shoes off. (When I asked him to, he did; but by then it was really too late.) He went into the guest bedroom (nearest to the outdoor dryer vent) and closed the window. However, he did not go into the master bedroom, even though it’s adjacent to the guest bedroom and the window in there was also wide open and only about a foot farther away from the vent than the other bedroom. By the time I thought to run in to make sure he had closed both windows, the outside guy was already well underway with the work. Even though I closed that window quickly, it was too late to avoid all the dust and debris from the vent from coming in through the window. I have a brand new mattress in that bedroom, on which I had just put clean sheets and a freshly washed blanket. And I had clean clothes hanging on a drying rack not far from the window. A thin layer of dust (and whatever else came out of the vent) covered everything in the room. I was not happy. They may have done a very good job; I don't know. But they didn't show a lot of care for the inside of my condo. So overall, I am disappointed with T&D. BTW... the $105 they charged me was supposed to be a special deal because many of the units in my condo community were having their dryer vents cleaned by T&D on the same day. Given that the work took 10 minutes (for which I had to wait at home all afternoon), I do not feel that price was a particularly good deal. I'd say it was fair at best.

I would certainly recommend T&D duct cleaning. They were very prompt and very careful not to dirty up the house. My dryer vent duct was really blocked and they totally cleaned it out. They also had some excellent recommendations for preventing this situation from happening again.

Went well. All vents were cleaned and they restored everything to original place where needed to get to vents.

Very well. Two techs showed up on time and spent a good amount of time doing the work and answering all my questions. This is the second time I've used them and the same technician showed up, along with an assistant. I thought the price was a little high but the work was excellent.

I had never had my vents cleaned and he told me the truth that it was very bad. He cleaned it and moved the dryer and he was very very good. The company is very responsive and they are good about checking in before your appointment.

Joe came on a Friday to examine the duct work/fiberboard and gave me an estimate of $900. On Tuesday John and Brandon came to begin the work. They cleared all the duct work and found mold in the attic unit which they cleaned and use a disinfectant for an additional $175. They did a great job and did not leave any debris. They did an excellent job. The following night my coughing at night stopped and my sinuses cleared. I am glad I found these guys.

Great! I love this company. Their customer service is phenomenal. Everything from booking the appointment to getting quick service is a breeze.

Did not hire them. had the work done by another company before I called them and was not happy with what was done.

I was impressed by there knowledgeable staff. I got the company information from the EPA website directing me to NADCA CVI Certification companies then I checked Angie's list website. I appreciated the professionalism of the two men that showed up on time and ready to work.

Highly recommend! Having them come back for more work. I had the darnedest time trying to attach my dryer vent elbow to the wall duct, Dave and Abe came out and got everything right for a good price. Super friendly and professional (office staff, too). They did the job right, taking care to make sure everything was securely attached, right size, double-checked work by running dryer, etc. Gave me some good advice on filters, too, and a brief lesson on how the duct systems and air handler returns work. Very impressed, and having them return to clean the ducts, too. Nice to see a quality local company.

Very professional and quick. The techs arrived in uniform and walked around with my to count the vents for cleaning. They were upfront with pricing (both when scheduling and before work was preformed). We just purchased a new home never and it had the vents cleaned, and it definitely needed it. The techs also explained the whole-home humidifier system the previous homeowners installed. Very satisfied with the work that was preformed.

We just moved to an old house. The house had not been lived in for several years, so was quite dusty and a lot of dead bugs. It has two air conditioners with separate duct systems. They cleaned both duct circuits and the dryer vent. Prompt, courteous. No hassles. Did a good job.

This service was completed perfectly, by a great company. I filled out an information request on T & D's website and received a call the same day with the information I requested. I told them i needed some time to discuss with the Mrs. and they said no problem. I got an email later that day confirming everything from my phone call. I called the office a few weeks later, and they had me scheduled within the next week. The technician arrived on time and walked through my house with me to explain the process and how everything was going to work. He was very accommodating, working around our four cats and allowing us to switch the cats around in the rooms he had finished in. He answered all the questions I had throughout the appointment. The closing of the areas in the duct work that were open for the cleaning was done very neatly. A solid piece of metal was used, and the taping was done perfectly. The technician showed me the 2 filters he had gone through while cleaning my vents. I have a pretty clean house by my friends' standards, and I was amazed by what T & D removed from my system. My wife and I are very happy we had this service done, as we feel that the air is cleaner, and will definitely use T & D when it is time for the next cleaning!

The staff were courteous and helpful when making the appointment. They were able to schedule an appointment for only a few days out, which was good as we had a birds nest in the dryer vent. The technician was professional and got the job done relatively quickly.

The price was reasonable. They were here within a day or two after calling them. They did a nice job. I was pleased with their work, and I would call them back again.

We used this company because they were recommended by the company we were using to put in our new air and heat unit. Everything was great except the free dryer vent cleaning. DO NOT let them near your dryer vent. This free cleaning will be costing me at least an extra 500 when I fix the problems they caused. He cleaned the dryer vent and did not put it back properly. My husband tried to fix it last night and could not. Justin said there was a problem with the dryer vent in the ceiling and that it was not connected to the u joint in the ceiling. That is correct. He said if he called the office or if they came back out to fix it , it would cost 300 for just the service call. He said if he had a saw her would cut a hole in the ceiling and fix the join. So, I said yes. Now there was a problem with the pipe further up too. But what Justin did not tell me was that once he cut a hole in my ceiling the hot air from the ceiling would come back into my house. That would have been fine, my husband would have gotten some kind of cover and covered it. But I needed a piece of clothing washed. So, I washed it and threw it int he dyer. !st, the door was broken when I tried to close it. Second, the vent byt the lower part of the dryer is broken and even when we tried to get it back in, we couldnt. It is broken. and then air from the dryer is venting back through the ceiling hole. Today, I will be calling and finding people who can fix, the dryer vent, find a way vent the dryer outside the house and fix the door.

Some of the best service people to come to our house: prompt, courteous, respectful of the home, tidy. We used a less expensive duct cleaning company in the past and got what we paid for! This company does honest, high quality work. Also, they don't try to make extra money with questionable "add on" services (e.g. mold-killing light treatments).

Arrived on time; very friendly personnel; clean and quiet set up and take down. Would highly recommend this company. Called on Wednesday and had appointment on following Monday, only because my schedule was busy. They were available to come within 24 hours of my call!
