Technician arrived promptly. He was professional and friendly. Found the problem and took care of it for a very reasonable fee. Thoroughly explained everything he did and what other things we needed to be aware of. Highly recommended and would use again.

The provider was professional, punctual, and knowledgeable. He did a thorough walk-through of my house to get a complete view of my heating/cooling needs. He provided me with three different estimates for my consideration. He was responsive to emails and phone calls. I have no complaints about the provider. I ultimately decided not to install the ductless system because of financial concerns on my end that took priority over the heating/cooling system. But, I felt compelled to write this review because I was very happy with how I was treated.

The technician was prompt and professional. Everything was broken and it was recommended to be replaced. This was an honest appraisal. The reason I would not use again is because the quote to replace the equipment was very high. I got 2 more estimates and bothe were significantly lower by thousands of dollars.

Scheduling was prompt and based on our needs. Our system was completely serviced and repaired efficiently and effectively with explanation by a clearly knowledgeable and experienced professional. The quality of our air and cooling is noticeably improved! We were also advised regarding the condition of our system. All of our questions were answered.

It was extremely humiliating when I went to pay my bill. The technician knew nothing about Angie's List and the amount of money I prepaid. After making a phone call, he accepted the fact that I had already paid $29 for the service call so it worked out in the end, but I felt that I shouldn't have had to argue about it.

Determined the problem was 2 different parts, one being the circuit board. Since the unit was nearly 20 years old and on borrowed time, tech bypassed the board controls (safely), and replaced the other part. Unit is usable for AC but needs to be replaced prior to heating season. Tech advised that Fall would be best time to purchase due to better rebates on new units.

Kathy, whom I can called the day before, offered a suggestion to help before she could get anyone out. When I called on the 17th to say the air conditioner still wasn't working she said they were booked all day but would see if they could work me in. Wow, within a short period of time she had rearranged the schedule. Chris arrived early, quickly diagnosed and repaired the problem. My husband was very impressed with him. We and our dogs were delighted to sleep in a cool bedroom that night. Comfort Air will be our go-to company for any future problems with air conditioning.

Let me say, I like dealing with this company. If anything but for the fact that I don't feel like they're giving me a hard push to buy anything I don't need. I've had them come out a couple of times already. This time was for an air conditioner unit that was blowing cool air instead of cold air. Previous was a heating issue. I signed up for one of their Angie's list diagnostic deals. The person that answered the phone, Cathy (sp?) was great as she tried to diagnose the problem over the phone before sending anybody out. Unfortunately, a lot of what she suggested, I had already tried with no luck. Cathy then scheduled something immediately. The technician arrived a little early and introduced himself as Neil. I immediately explained the problem and he went right to work. He did a pressure test and sure enough the system was low on refrigerant. He visually checked for leaks and later pulled out a leak detector. Unfortunately, he had no luck finding the leak as it was a very small leak. He later explained that they've gone through a lot of leak detectors and that one he purchased the best. I immediately started to think that maybe Neil was from another company whom Comfort Air hired when things got busy (more on that later). Personally, I didn't care as long as the work was done right and Neil definitely knew what he was doing. He went on to explain that it was harder to detect small leaks with the new refrigerant (R-410). He gave me other options to find the leak but considering the size of the leak and the additional cost, I decided to wait to see if some other symptoms might show up (ie oil around a joint). So Neil thoroughly cleaned all the places where there might be a leak in hopes that maybe next time he can see evidence of it. So back to suspecting that Neil was a sub because he bought his own equipment, etc. Well, after Neil left, I started to have suspicions and decided to look up who owned Comfort Air. As it turns out, it was Neil. And the funny thing was, I asked how long he was with the company and when he said 25 years, I jokingly said that he should be the owner of the company. He never said anything. It's nice to know that an owner still remains active, technically, in his company and isn't hands off like some other owners. It's also nice that Neil was down to earth and took his time to explain everything to where I would understand it. Thanks Neil, Cathy, and Comfort Air!

Comfort air guy came out as our heatpump was working but blowing lukewarm air. He found freon was very low and a leak down check was required. I was happy to have one done, however he said as it rained the day before he couldn't for some reason. (I had another company come by afterward, Gent Mechanical, and he did the leakdown and said you can do it in any weather). So the tech said my evap coil on the inside unit was shot, (and Gent verified this to be true), and said since he can't do a leakdown and with evap coil being bad, I might as well get an entire new system, for close to 11 grand...I was like what? Seriously. He left all sorts of papers on new units, etc. Said in the meantime he would set my thermo to where the aux heat would come on and charged me a nice sum in addition to the service call for this. I had Gent Mech come out, he leak checked system, replaced the inside evap coil, recharged system, leak checked and vac checked, noooo prob, been blowing warm air ALL WINTER, for just the price of a new evap coil, total 500.00, vs 11,000.00 comfort air quoted......No thanks comfortair.

Chris was very professional and outstanding during initial visit and diagnosis. Mike was very professional and outstanding during home evaluation, and system recommendations and estimates. Chris, James, and Ken were equally professional and outstanding during system installation. The quality of their work is impecable!

I had a layman put in a steam humidifier which would not work. I called Comfort Air and asked if they knew anything about this new product and they did. They came out the next day on time and fixed the botched job by the other company. Great to work with will use in the future.

Unit was inspected by another company in June 2014 just for a checkup and was told that the system had a leak and added 2 lbs. of R-22. Apparently the system did NOT have a leak and they over charged the system which didn't affect the cooling but when we turned on the heat the high pressure from the over charging resulted in the heating not working. So we paid the first company for 2 lbs of R-22 that was not needed. Bought the $29.00 diagnostic checkup on Angie's List and Comfort Air came that day. Told Chris about the leak and 2lbs. of R-22 that was added in the Spring. He immediately believed the system to have been over charged and took out the excessive R-22 which solved the problem. Chris was excellent, honest and explained everything in detail. Any future problems Comfort Air will be the first I call.

Phil was the technician that came out. He initially came out after my compressor fan starting to act up. The first visit was over a month ago, and I used an Angies List coupon for a general visit to see what was wrong. Unfortunately, the compressor's motor was working by the time Phil arrived and after 30 minutes of troubleshooting, he was unable to diagnose. A month later, the compressor acted up again. I called and Phil was able to come out the same day; no additional charge for coming out the second time. Phil arrived and was able to diagnose that the motor had gone bad. He called up the manufacturer and had a new motor (warranty covered the part's cost) shipped the next day. Phil came out again to replace it, took around 20 minutes to replace. Price for labor was fair. Phil was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I'll likely have the company come out again for checkups and future problems.

I have to say it was a great experience. They worked me into their schedule. Chris came, diagnosed the problem, ordered the part, and replaced it within a very reasonable amount of time. They came in cheaper than other companies I contacted. Cathie and Chris were pleasant to deal with and seemed truly concerned about my needs. Thanks Comfort Air!

I have been using them for four years and they always send out the same technician, nice to see a familar face. I thought the deal would cover the annual maintenance they always do but it did not fully so they credited the amount towards the annual service. They always provide great service and great to work with. I would highly recommend them.

It went ok...The owners of the house were getting frustrated because it continued to have additional repairs needed...In the end, it was ok.

Chris came out to look at the HVAC. He introduced himself and was very polite and trained in the art of the mysterious HVAC (well mysterious to me). We went downstairs to the air handler, and he checked the unit, it was getting all the power it needed, I showed him the breaker box and after discovering that the breaker box in my home was mislabeled we found that one of the breakers for the air handler was indeed tripped, but it would immediately trip back to the off position a few moments after the heat was back on. Chris was able to use his HVAC powers to deduce that the actual connection of the power to the breaker was not secure enough and that was causing the breaker to trip. Long story short, he tightened the connection on the breaker and squeezed some kind of conductor goo into the breaker to ensure a good connection and the HVAC was back and working in my home. Comfort Air was probably one of the best companies that I have had the pleasure of working with the last year or so in regards to home issues. The woman (I can't remember your name) who answered the phone and actually walked me through a few steps to check before dispatching a technician was quite helpful. I ended up getting their preventative maintenance to have them come back to take a look at the system before winter arrives in full force.

Wiring was repaired and a capacitor was replaced in the compressor unit outside. A new capacitor was ordered and installed three days later. The repairman fully explained all his actions and made sure all my questions were answered. I highly recommend this provider.

I did not have any problems with the company but I need to have the work done ASAP and cannot afford to wait two days to schedule the service

Excellent service. As always, was given a time range for arrival-- both times came right at the beginning of the range.

I can't speak highly enough of this company. We've used them twice and in both cases they've been responsive, courteous, and efficient. We were very impressed both times with their attention to detail and follow-through. They are truly a top-notch operation.

I will continue to use the services of Comfort Air.

The technician arrived on time and was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He explained how my system worked and ran the diagnostic and check-up both inside and out. He explained why my system acted the way it did and how it could be changed to be more energy efficient. There was no pressure to do any additional work and I was very happy with the thoroughness of the work he completed. My system is also dual fuel and the technician explained the benefit of having an outdoor temperature thermostat that would kick the system into using propane on days the temp was below a certain temp to save on my electric bill. Apparently the system always tries to run on electric before switching to propane on those cold days. Overall, I was very pleased with Comfort Air and their technician. They followed up with me to make sure I was happy with the service and if I had any other questions about the thermostat. I would recommend Comfort Air to anyone with HVAC needs.

Our furnace was running incorrectly. I checked Angie's list for a provider and found Comfort Air because they are nearby and have good reviews. When I called for an appointment, they told me they had a Big Deal for a $29 furnace check. (I somehow missed seeing the deal). Anyhow, I bought the deal and Comfort Air came out the same morning. The furnace corrected itself before they arrived, but since it is getting older, I had Comfort Air check it out. I was very pleased with the company and will use them again if I need another repair or when we finally need to replace the furnace.

The service tech was on time and answer all my questions. They did a good job and we would us them again.
