Drainage & Erosion Solutions (DES) is an award-winning design-build firm specializing in diagnosing and resolving drainage and erosion issues for residential and commercial properties. With both engineering and contracting divisions, we deliver professionally engineered solutions that are as functional as they are aesthetically pleasing. Our team is composed of dedicated, full-time professionals known for their technical expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to exceptional customer service. All consultations, assessments, and installations are performed by licensed experts—including soils engineers and landscape and drainage system designers—who bring decades of combined experience in design and construction. Clients trust DES for our reliability and results, leading to a strong referral-based business and consistently high rankings on contractor-rating platforms.
""After 15 years of enduring water and flooding damage to our yard and the foundation of our house, and after trying various 'solutions' from well-intentioned landscapers that never truly resolved the issues, we ultimately decided to engage Drainage and Erosion Solutions. We required comprehensive flood control and damage mitigation, and their expert team skillfully implemented swales, dry creeks, catch basins, and channel drains in areas where water management was critical. They also replaced a water-damaged window well, removed a flagstone patio to install drain basins and drainage pipes, and flawlessly reinstalled it. The supervisor and crew displayed remarkable knowledge, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to detail throughout the entire project. This system has been operational for several months now, and even during the most intense rainfall, which historically led to road flooding, my house and foundation remain dry. We enthusiastically endorse this company without reservation.""

Family owned & operated. Jimmy Gusky LLC is here to serve you in the warm and cold seasons. With more than 30 years of plumbing & HVAC experience, we work on every project with attention to detail and time. HVAC, plumber, commercial plumbing, repair boilers, heating repair. Additional DBA - JCF Inc .
"Jimmy showed up to my home during a time when my thermostat was not working. That issue was fixed. He sold me a services contract and told me when he returned to services the units, he will cover the pipes outdoors. I purchased the contract for twice per year maintenance. I scheduled with him for a specific date. Appointment was confirmed but Jimmy did not show. When I called, he it appears that he forgot my appointment and he rescheduled saying he could not work in the rain. He rescheduled for a few days after and one of his workers showed up (Carlos). The guy showed up looking like he was someone who does not want to work and unprepared. So, I asked him if he has filters and he said know. Jimmy's workman did not bring filter, so I offered him filters I had stored. I asked him if he bought things to cover the pipes at the back, he said no. I called and left a message for Jimmy. Carlos was so rude and unprofessional. I was so scared of him and the way he was behaving. Carlos then said he would NOT do any service. IT WAS A WASTE OF MY TIME. He did return my money. BUT I will not recommend him. Will NOT use him again. As woman I will not hire again. Customer services was poor, reliability and punctuality poor."

"If I could give a negative rating, I would. These guys are complete crooks and I would caution anyone considering hiring them. I recognized their name online when I was looking for a plumber, which I suspect is how they get most of their business. My water heater had stopped work and my normal plumber was on vacation, so I called them. They gave me a 3 hour window to come this past Saturday. 20 minutes past the end of their window, they had still not shown up, so I called. The person I talked to said she could not get in touch with dispatch and would send them an email to call me. An hour later, still nothing, and I called and got the same run around. Yet another hour later, still the same thing. Finally I get a call that says that the plumber who had been assigned did not have the tools or qualifications, so they would reschedule me for the next morning. REALLY????? The next morning they arrive and take a look at the water heater, which is less than a year old by the way, and tell me that to fix it they would have to order an assortment of parts that would take a look time to arrive, so that I would be better of replacing the whole thing. When I ask him how much that would be, he starts telling me all of the things that need to be fixed to "bring it up to code" and gives me a price of $3,900!!!! FOR A FRIGGIN' WATER HEATER??? I told the guy to get out of my house and got in touch with a plumber from the neighborhood. He came out the next day and was able to complete the relatively easy fix, for $475. NEVER CALL LEN THE PLUMBER, EVER!!!"

"Terrible .The guy came out was here about 10 minutes , charged me a," discounted" rate of $175 and left . About 36 hours later my drain is clogged again and the only thing I let down it was dish water and there's a strainer in the sink . When I called they said no warranty on the service and it would be $79 to evaluate it and I could go from there. Sorry you're only robbing me once and I would caution anyone not to deal with them"

"When my air conditioner stopped blowing cold air and I couldn't reach my normal A/C repairman, I called Fry based on good reviews on Angi. It was a Monday in August and I expected to be added to a long wait list. But after giving all of my information to the office manager, she told me that someone would be at my house in 30 minutes. Two technicians arrived on time, thoroughly inspected the condenser, diagnosed the problem, discussed options with me, and quickly returned the unit to full operation. They even cleaned the condenser coils to ensure a more productive heat exchange. I'll use Fry for all of my heating, a/c, and plumbing issues in the future."

"Hot water issue. Technician gave estimate for hot water tank replacement of 8 year old lightly used tankless. In light of the phenomenol price tag, did some homework. Hit the reset button. Fixed. Hmmmm. Maybe it was the tankless that confused him. Really glad it was a free estimate (unlike Len's who charged me $315 and didn't fix it)."

Before finding the right plumber for your job, there are a few questions that you should ask, including:
Are you licensed and insured?
Do you charge for estimates?
Is your fee a flat rate, or is it hourly?
Who will do the work? Are they all licensed and qualified plumbers?
What happens if any breaks or damages occur?
What is your response time in an emergency?
Is cleanup included in the quote?
Do your services come with a guarantee?
Discussing these questions with your plumbing contractor will help eliminate future issues and clarify expectations.

Yes, most states require plumbers to have a license, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed plumber could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

Typically, plumbing repairs cost about $325 per job but can range from $175 to $4,000 or more. Simple fixes, such as a toilet repair, will be less expensive at around $150 to $400. However, if you have a pipe that has burst, you can expect to pay between $1,000 and $4,000 or more.
The project that needs to be completed, the size of your home, and the type of plumbing pipes you have can all impact the final cost. External factors such as supply chain issues and shortage of materials all play a part in how much this repair might be.

A faucet replacement vs. a failed waste line flooding a finished basement would be at opposite ends of a very broad spectrum. "A plumbing repair" could range from perhaps a $150 minimum service charge up to tens of thousands of dollars for a substantial repair and associated cleanup, finish work, etc.

Plumbing repairs can be complex. Often there is damage or breakage in areas that can't be seen without being examined thoroughly. Plumbers will investigate the issue and then let you know what to expect.

Prices can range from $60 to $20,000. Many factors determine the cost of a plumbing job. Things such as the cost of materials, size of the home, the difficulty of the job, travel time, contractor liability, would walls or floors need to be opened and repaired. All these factors and more can greatly affect the cost of a job.
Answered by Glenn Durand at Flat Rate Services Charlotte in Indian Land, SC on 01/13/25
Plumbing costs obviously vary from job to job. You can expect to pay anywhere from $225 - $400 for your average repair of a faucet or toilet. Frozen broken pipes are a much more difficult item to put a price tag on. The best course is to try to correct it as soon as possible: These tend to get worse rather than better, which means more costly. You will obviously be paying more for after hour emergency services, but time is of the essence.
Answered by Tony Coscia at TC Plumbing in Orange, CT on 01/10/25
Before your plumber pays you a visit, it’s a good idea to clean up any boxes, garbage, or other obstacles that could be in their way. In addition, it’s best practice to clean the area that needs to be inspected or worked on, like a toilet, for example. Make sure to keep kids and pets out of the way once the plumber arrives.

The average cost to hire a plumber is around $100 an hour but can vary between $45 and $200 an hour depending on the plumber’s experience and the repair that you need. It’s also important to note that these prices can go up on holidays, and emergency plumber rates average $150 per hour, in addition to a flat-rate trip fee of $100 to $350.
