The technician believes he had cleared our main drain but he did not go far enough. I called next day to say the basement shower and toilet wete still backed up. They said they did not guarantee their work and i would need to pay another 1000 plus for them to come out ahain. Shame on this company.

Terrible Service. Rude technician. Cannot trust their word. Have spent hours on the phone to get them to schedule inspection for water heater. Ended up talking to manager who promised things would change and seemed apologetic. However, he didn't do what he was supposed to and then just ghosted me.

Moved past the price for the actual work that I needed done so quickly I understood the wrong price (from an adjacent offered additional service that I didn't need, probably), to try to sell me a bunch of different garbage disposals. When I paid, didn't tell me the price or show me the bill, just took my credit card and gave it back; I felt too awkward to ask. It turns out they charged $730 for <2 hours of work (including going to the store to buy the part that I had already told them I needed) and the $30 part. I complained and they blew me off.

Deceptive Pricing Practices and Lack of Control Over Technicians I recently had an unfortunate experience with The Plumber Heating & Air, LLC that I feel compelled to share. I had a leak on my basement ceiling and called for their services. The technician, Yves, performed a 10-minute diagnostic and charged me an exorbitant $300, leaving me feeling deceived and taken advantage of. What concerns me the most is the apparent lack of control the company has over its technicians. It seems like these technicians have the liberty to name their own prices for diagnostic and service fees. The company acts more like a dispatcher, with technicians having free rein over pricing decisions. This lack of transparency and accountability is alarming, especially in emergency situations. Customers should be cautious when relying on this company for urgent services, as the pricing structure appears to be at the discretion of individual technicians. I hope my experience serves as a warning to others considering The Plumber Heating & Air, LLC. Transparency and fair pricing are essential for customer trust, and unfortunately, my encounter with the company fell short of these expectations.

I asked them to install the water backwash controller for my neutralizer tank. I provide the controller ( labor cost would be no more than two hours). Upon arrival, the technician look at it and then punched on his tablet for a while told me the price is $1600.00. I told him to leave and then he called his boss to reduced the price to $1200.00. I told him no deal. And then he reduced it further to $900.00. Eventually I have to paid him $49.00 to go away. Angi should delist this SCAM company.

Plumber never looked to see if unit could be repaired; went to replacement immediately. Gave total price of $7,700, which seemed high. Said new shower unit and materials would cost $2,000, with labor making up the rest. Technician bought top-of-the-line shower unit with glass doors (old ones were plastic and had lasted 20 years), but the actual retail cost at Home Depot was $1,000. Then he told me that he would not hang the doors or replace the ripped-up sheet rock and green door and asked if I knew someone who could do that before the installation. Not surprisingly, I did not have anyone, but a neighbor with a construction company came to my assistance. Then we found out that the expensive round glass doors did not fit the three-sided shower and had to be returned. Without my neighbor's assistance, this would have been a disaster. My advice: never use Len the Plumber and never get a quote that doesn't break out the materials cost and provide you with sales receipts.

The technician was very professional, he looked over the project and knew exactly what needed to be done. He exceeded my expectations.
Description of Work: water was running from under ground in back driveway, which caused water bill to increase. The technician reviewed the problem and new it was from a grain pipe from the inside, which pushes water ect., away from the house. Had a plumber come out and not finish the job for a sewer repair. We called a few days after reporting a bad smell due to a lid not being sealed and we were told to “use air freshener”. We had another guy come out who no showed us twice and the dispatchers were not helpful in getting us in touch with the plumber. Do not recommend unless you want to be ghosted numerous times and hung up on.

I don’t normally leave negative reviews but unfortunately Len the Plumber has not been able to resolve (or even respond) to my concern despite calling numerous times over the past three weeks. I am hoping that maybe someone will see this and help. I had a great experience to start- someone came out right away, was friendly, and said they would fix a leak in my home that is causing the water to have to be turned off. I paid a $1000 deposit and was told they would return Monday to complete the repair. They came out that Monday and then said they couldn’t repair the area and instead had to do a replacement but that I had to remove tile in my bathroom and when could I do that. I was able to call back pretty quickly and confirm my boyfriend could demo the area that night and to ensure it was what they needed so they could return right away. My boyfriend demoed the bathroom the same night they said I needed to and I have not heard from them since even though I have called a minimum of 10 times (probably way more) and have had customer service representative’s “email” service or email “managers” who would supposedly get back to me. It was so impossible to schedule the repair that eventually I told them I didn’t even want them to fix it anymore but could we resolve my invoice since I paid the $1000 deposit and nobody has been able to help me with that either ( again, needing to email managers and someone will get back to me, etc. etc.) At this point I haven’t had working water in my house I planned on moving into for three weeks and am staying elsewhere. I realize I could call another plumber but I’m not sure if I am going to be charged for this job or not, and if I am I unfortunately probably still need them to do it because it wouldn’t make sense to double pay. Please call me and either schedule this repair or let me know what I am financially responsible for at this point so I can move on with my life!

The control panel on my water heater blew a fuse and my family of 5 was without hot water. Called Len the plumber to take advantage of their emergency services. First, there was no emergency service because I had to wait until the next morning. Second, when I called ahead of time to cancel my appointment because another company came out earlier, I was told to “enjoy being under water and playing with the fish.” WOOOOOOOOOOOOOW! The idiocy of it all. I see why their rating was so low. Let’s not even address the pure unprofessionalism of saying such things to someone but when you attempt to be a condescending p**** I would at least expect you to pinpoint your jab. We in fact we’re not under water, our water heater stopped working. I’m more upset at the I’ll advised “diss” than anything else. LOLOLOL

If I could give a negative rating, I would. These guys are complete crooks and I would caution anyone considering hiring them. I recognized their name online when I was looking for a plumber, which I suspect is how they get most of their business. My water heater had stopped work and my normal plumber was on vacation, so I called them. They gave me a 3 hour window to come this past Saturday. 20 minutes past the end of their window, they had still not shown up, so I called. The person I talked to said she could not get in touch with dispatch and would send them an email to call me. An hour later, still nothing, and I called and got the same run around. Yet another hour later, still the same thing. Finally I get a call that says that the plumber who had been assigned did not have the tools or qualifications, so they would reschedule me for the next morning. REALLY????? The next morning they arrive and take a look at the water heater, which is less than a year old by the way, and tell me that to fix it they would have to order an assortment of parts that would take a look time to arrive, so that I would be better of replacing the whole thing. When I ask him how much that would be, he starts telling me all of the things that need to be fixed to "bring it up to code" and gives me a price of $3,900!!!! FOR A FRIGGIN' WATER HEATER??? I told the guy to get out of my house and got in touch with a plumber from the neighborhood. He came out the next day and was able to complete the relatively easy fix, for $475. NEVER CALL LEN THE PLUMBER, EVER!!!

While the issue was improved and water flowed more quickly down the tub drain, the problem was not completely solved. I was told the plumber would wear gloves and shoe covers. He did neither. Further, I went to check on him at one point in the house and he had his mask down during the COVID pandemic. It was $349 to snake the drain 25 feet (note it's $49 just to have them come out). Upon inspection of other issues in the house, they suggested I replace a toilet bowl at a parts + labor cost of $750-$950 depending on the bowl I selected. The plumber engaged in a debate about my desire to get a second opinion. In general, I found their pricing to be high and unmatched to the service.

Recently, we have been encountering regular flooding in spite of a clean main line. After three visits and $1,300, LEN The Plumber is happy to continue charging us but hasn't found the source of the issue. Asked to come for the fourth time to try and fix the issue, the administrative contact offered no apology, wouldn't even waive the $50 visit fee and, when reminded that LEN The Plumber offers 24/7 service, just lied about this simple fact blatantly: "No sir, we are not a 24/7 operation". Although the plumbers who visited us were courteous and were trying to help, I have to doubt their competence. I am above all extremely disappointed in how management is dealing with the situation. If you can't deal with complex issues and stand behind your work, you shouldn't be in this business. A waste of time and money for us.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Paid ~$900 for this company to pull up a toilet, snake it, and put it back THEN 13 days later..same problem. Called for an EMERGENCY apt due to not only that toilet, but the whole house gurgling and slow and they did not show up for hours, THEN left because they could not find a parking spot.(who does that?!)Then the next day, they sent another technician who came in and then said his "hands were too big" to remove the toilet and then he left; job undone! They had no one else with smaller hands that could come out(how bizarre is this whole thing?! Too crazy to make up- I'm still floored by the details quite frankly) So That night our downstairs FLOODED!! Called them right away and they had "no one available!" I had to pay for another company to come out in the middle of the night and then a professional cleaning company to also come over at 3 am! Called Len the Plumber for days requesting to speak with a manager. They kept saying that they would call back. They didn't! Learn from what happened to me. Do NOT use this company! I have never dealt with a more unprofessional, negligent, untrustworthy group in my whole life.

We decided to use Lens for a repair at our house in Maryland -- the outcome of this was a repair of one of two items we had originally listed, replacement of a faucet in one bathroom. Lens responded quickly and scheduling a visit was not a problem -- and the technician was friendly, but what we were charged for this work was disappointing. According to the bill, to install one Moen faucet -- this was an industrial type obtainable online or from supply stores for about $90 -- and replace the shutoff valves below -- was more than $700. This went down to $655 after a coupon was applied. On the invoice, the service technician had mixed together description of the work performed with the Moen with a noted cost of $515. The work had been done so we paid the bill, but as my wife and I looked at this we were increasingly uncomfortable with the original charge of $735. Total time for this job, which began at 9:40 AM, was 90 minutes or less. And as noted above, the faucet in question is an approximate $90 item at plumbing supply stores. We emailed Len, and saw that our email was received and read, but as of this writing have received no response. Based on what appears to be a very high cost for this job we doubt we will be using Len again based on pricing issue alone. And based on some poor ratings seen elsewhere here on Yelp, some of which mention high pricing, I cannot recommend Len the Plumber to anyone until the company takes an honest look at its prices. My concern also is that during the current COVID-19 crisis, companies may be price gouging because people may want work done more quickly.

I found a leaking 1/2" water line in my basement. I pulled away the drywall so that a repair could be easily made. A 4 " section of the pipe would have to be replaced. It would have taken 15 minutes tops to make the repair. Len the Plumber's estimate to make the repair was $450. There are brain surgeons that don't make that much per hour.

During bathroom renovation a water pipe behind the wall started to spray water from a split seam. I turned off the water to the house and contacted Len the Plumber, and two hours later Rodney Simmons arrived to replace the broken section of the pipe. The job took about one hour at a cost of $753. Given that this was an emergency the price seemed reasonable. I was very satisfied with the work Rodney did; he was calm and personable, and immediately knew what steps to take. I would definitely hire him again.
