The new partner in the company did the estimate. He was in the crawlspace no more than 5 minutes. He said that the previous work (done only a few months ago) was not enough, in so many words, and that there were rolls of insulations left unrolled in the crawl space. He said there were thin sheets of vinyl on the crawlspace floor but that was inadequate. He gave me an estimate for over $7000, which was much higher than I expected in that I had just spent $2100 a few months ago and in that I have used this company before for much less expense. No photos were taken and that left me not knowing what the situation was, and 2 later mold specialists came and one said that there was only one partial roll of insulation left unrolled but the other specialist showed a photo (thankfully!) of 3.5 rolls of insulation left unrolled and of white vinyl sheeting on most (apparently) of the basement floor. One suggested the problem was minimal if indeed a problem. The other suggested a similar price for less work. Therefore, as a senior consumer without thorough photos and unable to navigate the crawlspace, I am still left with many questions. If MoldGone had taken photos, as expected, then I would probably gone ahead with their contract since I have used them previously.

From start to finish, the staff at Mold Gone were completely professional. Mike came out for the initial consultation letting me know exactly what was going on and what was needed. John and Henry performed the work, walking me through every step of the way. When they left, they cleaned up the work area. I had water damage in an area of my basement. Not only did they treat the mold, but they replaced the woodwork that was damaged. I would definitely recommend Mold Gone to perform any mold related work.

These guys are pros in every sense of the word. Fantastic job. Very fair and very efficient. Would definitely hire again if needed.

Called on a Friday morning and was able to make an appointment for a Tuesday afternoon, which worked well for me since we were obtaining a couple of other quotes in the same timeframe. Mike came to take a look at my mold problem in my basement; we had already identified the source of the issue and (thankfully) found out that insurance covered it. While not a big job, we wanted professionals to come in and do the work. I think he was here for maybe 5 minutes, skimmed over the process for the remediation (good thing I basically knew the process, otherwise I would've been absolutely lost), and said he'd get the estimate to me by the next business day. I NEVER received an estimate, to me, that says a lot about professionalism. By default, we went with another company.

We called several companies, however MoldGone was the only one with a live person who answered right away, and scheduled a free evaluation for the next day. I was very impressed. No other company could do that-most companies had recorded messages, charged a fee to come out, or couldn't schedule for at least a week). The technician arrive on time-a little early even--investigated the area, and determined that the mold was no longer active. We had replaced our roof a few years ago so we solved the problem, and he told us we had nothing to worry about. He recommended a cleaning solution. It was a tremendous relief. Very good experience; very professional company, and I will definitely call them again.

Jon responded to my inquiry quickly and came out the next day. He was on time and inspected the mold and let us know it was minor and nothing to worry about, assuming we fix the roof leak. He didn’t charge us for the assessment. If we ever have a mold problem again, I’ll definitely be using their services!

This company is so unresponsible they called me at 8:30 the night prior to them coming to test my home for mold and told me that they were on able to make the appointment because they had to go take a test or their license was going to expire so Unprofessional

The work itself was done well. The service-people performed their duties punctually and professionally. Overall, a good experience.

Jon came out and did an estimate. It was a while before the work could be done. But when it was it was done very professionally. I was very happy with what the did. There is no sign of mold. I would recommend them highly.

I would strongly recommend Moldgone for anyone who is looking for a mold remediation service. The initial visit by John included an inspection of the area followed by an estimate for the project. I was relieved that the impacted area was relatively small. We were able to complete all the paperwork and schedule the completion of the project via email. The guys who worked the project were friendly, on time and completed the project in less time than the initial estimate. Billing and the payment process was easy and, when I spotted an error, it was addressed quickly. Overall, it was a very positive experience.

Jon Gordon was thorough in vetting the potential issue and providing an honest overview of the situation. A report from another service provider suggested that there was a severe mold and humidity issue that required over $5000 in remediation, which seemed suspicious. Jon confirmed that there was no severe issue and no significant mold present and provided suggestions for minor humidity remediation in a crawl space. I know who to call now if we ever do have mold issues!

The company was quick to respond to calls and worked well with our renter. They also provided the information we would need to make an insurance claim.

It went great. Jon and Joe were fantastic, as were the guys who did the remediation. There was a ton of mold under the trim around our master closet door, and they identified the source of the problem (warm humid air getting into the wall cavity from the crawl space over the garage adjacent to our closet, and condensing when it hit the back of the cool, room temperature trim around the door). Jon was very knowledgeable when he came out initially, setting our minds at ease about the problem, the source, and the severity of the problem (he was not alarmist at all and did not try to sell me any work/services that were not necessary). They arrived promptly at 8:30am as promised, sealed off all areas outside the work area, and got everything removed/cleaned, and patched up. They also showed me a picture of the work they did in the crawl space over the garage, which will stop the problem from recurring. Then they cleaned up and it was as if they were never there. And they were friendly and polite through the whole job. They not only stopped the air from getting in from the garage, but they also sealed up the door frame to make sure no more air can possibly get through to the original area and start causing the problem again. When the work turned out not to require as much drywall removal as initially projected in the estimate (there was no way to know without getting in there and looking as the job started), they adjusted the price downward without us even raising the issue. This is a super honest company. I will definitely be recommending Mold Gone to friends and family, and will use them in the future (though I hope I don't have to).

Jon arrived on time and was very friendly and professional throughout his inspection. He gave honest feedback that there was no mold infestation, even though it meant less business for him. I greatly appreciated his integrity and thorough work. If we ever do have a mold problem I will absolutely go to MoldGone!

Everything went great! Moldgone provided excellent service and a pleasure to work with. The treated and repaired all the area affected with mold and their staff were professional with great customer service. Would highly reccomend!

Jay was the mold inspector that came to our home. He was extremely knowledgeable about mold and did a visual inspection of the rooms on the north side of the house with the musty odor. He used a moisture meter on the wallboard, as well as looking in the attic for signs of water leakage. He also took three air test samples and sent them to a lab. The tests came back showing we have two molds that are allergens in high concentration in one of the two upstairs bedrooms. Based on the inspection and mold air test, he suggested that we start conservatively by having our 30 year old air ducts cleaned and disinfected, since mold can grow in airducts, especially when a whole house humidifier is used in the winter, which we use. MoldGone does not clean airducts, so we are using another company for airduct cleaning. He also recommended that we use a dehumidifier upstairs for two weeks. If the smell does not dissipate, then MoldGone will give us an estimate for remediation.

Moldgone was excellent. Not only did they respond promptly over the phone, they also responded to an after-hours phone call the day before when I had to change the POC for their visit. During the visit, they were thorough and explained what they were seeing and provided sensible recommendations for our situation. I would recommend Moldgone.

I definitely recommend MoldGone. First, the firm is highly responsive. I had a phone call from Jon Gordon to set up an estimate appointment in a timely way. Most importantly, Jon kept that appointment unlike other firms which set up appointments, then canceled or didn't even bother to return inquiries from Angie's List or via telephone. Jon was thorough in his look at the trouble spots an also explained everything in detail. The proposal was then sent via email for me to review. When I had questions, everything was answered promptly even though I had to keep coming back to Jon with more questions! The appointment for the work was set up according to my schedule and again, it was good to have a date nailed down. On the day of the work, Jason Thomas and Jonathan Thomas were on time and extremely professional. We did a walk through of the two areas and then they explained to me the order in which they would tackle the work, what types of equipment would be coming in and how they would check in with their boss and with me if anything unusual was found. Before moving from one work area to the next, Jason checked in to make sure it was ok to move between the areas. Once the first day's work was done, Jason and Jonathan reviewed what had been done, walked me through photos of what they found, and they took advantage of my running the dishwasher to double check possible seepage areas. At the end of the work day, they cleaned up everything and headed out. The second day of work was a repeat of the professional manner and the quality work. All in all this was a fabulous experience with what had been a worrisome issue for us. I will definitely be recommending this firm to all of my friends who need similar work done.

Earlier this year, I found a water damage spot in my upper kitchen cabinet, MoldGone was one of 7 companies I met with. MoldGone was very professional and put many of my fears to rest that had arisen from another contractor telling me he needed to basically tear down my tiled kitchen wall. We hired MoldGone and the experience was great, no tearing down of my wall required, I also found their pricing to be very fair. The issue was found to be leak in the flashing on the roof, getting that repaired took a long time as many of the roofers are booked out for many weeks in advance. Once it was fixed I did have a bit of a wait to get back on their schedule, but it was nothing like waiting for the roofer. I am so happy to have my kitchen back together and the work they did looks amazing. The crew sent out was fantastic, a big thank you to them and the great job they did. MoldGone also seemed very responsive via e-mail which is something I love. I also liked that I was able to pay the work with the crew member after he was done. While I hope I never have another issue with mold or water damage, they would be my first call and the people I recommend to my friends and family.
