We had very poor communication with Jay from MoldGone. He initially offered a set of 4 initial services. We asked for a lift tape sample and asked him to contact our tenant to arrange a time to do the work. Jay said he could do both; agreeing to contact the tenant on May 28. Almost a week later (June 2), he said the tenant should contact him. She had thought she had and he hadn't shown up but he was sure they weren't scheduled to see her. It wasn't clear why they wanted her to initiate the contact. Eventually they made there way to our house and did a visual inspection rather than a lift tape sample. The whole reason we hired them was for a sample. Jay was very rude and unapologetic on the phone and didn't have an explanation for what had happened.

Jay showed up to give the estimate within a couple hours of my request. His crew came by a few days later to complete the project, and they were timely, professional, and very courteous.

Honest company which based on a quotations I received, is hard to come by. Jay came promptly to inspect the mold I had below my kitchen sink from a previous faucet leak and provided me with an estimate later in the evening. John came two days later to fix the issue. He was very professional and communicated well. I would strongly recommend this firm.

Jon from MoldGone easily saved me more than a thousand dollars by providing an expert opinion on proposed mold remediation by another company. His response was very timely, and he actually turned down the opportunity to undertake work, saying that the situation did not warrant remediation by his company. It was very refreshing to have someone advise that their services were actually NOT required in this instance. Should I every have any future questions regarding mold remediation, Jon will definitely be my first call.

We called them due to concerns about potential mold in our son's bedroom. They came, tested, and the results were negative for problematic mold/air. In an industry rife with con artists, this was very refreshing. Highly recommend!

Jay responded quickly and came out to my house for an estimate. However, he spent about 2 minutes looking at the issue, told me he'd send me a quote that day but I never heard from him again despite repeated requests to get a quote. I definitely would not bother with this company.

This was a great experience. I am very happy to have found Moldgone LLC. Everything was smooth from start to finish. The inspection was fast and simple, I received the quote quickly and the price could not be beat. They set the appointment and all communication in between were timely and informative. Jon came to give me an estimate. He said he would be emailing it to me in a day or so. He never sent an estimate, even when I told him I had not received it.

The remediation and technicians were excellent! They explained what they were going to do, covered and taped damaged location including vents, etc. Removal of the damaged areas and replaced with mold resistant drywall. I am very pleased and my health has stabilized some because of their great work.

This was my first mold remediation experience, so I did not know what to expect. A long term leak behind a cupboard wall finally showed up. John, my tech, cleaned everything out everything down to the studs and left everything neat, white and ready for plumbing repair. He also cleaned out a long term low-grade problem in the basement, common for old houses like ours. For the first time in years the vague, musty smell has gone. From my first contact with Jay, who did the estimate and quickly squeezed me into his schedule, to the actual remediation, I knew I was dealing with pros. Thank you, Jay and John, for a great job; worth every penny!

I requested a mold check. Jay came promptly, and sent a proposal for remediation. The job was carried out very smoothly, excellent communications with the company, including pictures. Perfect cleanup. Responsive, efficient and professional.

The technician was very professional, punctual, wore appropriate PPE, and gathered the air samples quickly. Also provide a comprehensive report of the results.

Tests went fine Had low level of normal mold..non toxic. Then they cleaned and sealed areas. One area required removing sheet rock, sealing and reinstalling new waterproof Sheetrock and molding. Looks great.

Jon, Jason, and the rest of the team at MoldGone are true professionals, and I wholeheartedly recommend them for mold remediation service. We had recently purchased a historic townhome in the Logan Circle neighborhood of DC which we knew to have significant mold issues. However, aside from a very obvious source in the sub-basement, we were not certain if/where other sources of mold growth were present in the home. Jon was very thorough on his initial visit, and used a moisture meter along with a keen eye to locate potential areas of mold growth behind drywall that another company's estimate had ignored. Mold was indeed present in these areas, and we were glad to both have it treated, and to receive feedback-about/remediation-of the underlying sources of the moisture that lead to the growth in the first place. Air quality post-testing revealed a job very well done, and to boot Jon graciously even offered to return in the spring to do a second follow-up test at no additional charge because of weather conditions on the day of testing. Beyond the high quality of the work, the team was a pleasure to work with: kind, patient, responsive, and available by both cellphone, text, and email. We can now, literally and figuratively, breathe easier and be without worry about moving into our new home! Big thank you to Jon, Jason, and the whole team at MoldGone!

The new partner in the company did the estimate. He was in the crawlspace no more than 5 minutes. He said that the previous work (done only a few months ago) was not enough, in so many words, and that there were rolls of insulations left unrolled in the crawl space. He said there were thin sheets of vinyl on the crawlspace floor but that was inadequate. He gave me an estimate for over $7000, which was much higher than I expected in that I had just spent $2100 a few months ago and in that I have used this company before for much less expense. No photos were taken and that left me not knowing what the situation was, and 2 later mold specialists came and one said that there was only one partial roll of insulation left unrolled but the other specialist showed a photo (thankfully!) of 3.5 rolls of insulation left unrolled and of white vinyl sheeting on most (apparently) of the basement floor. One suggested the problem was minimal if indeed a problem. The other suggested a similar price for less work. Therefore, as a senior consumer without thorough photos and unable to navigate the crawlspace, I am still left with many questions. If MoldGone had taken photos, as expected, then I would probably gone ahead with their contract since I have used them previously.
