Description of Work: The drain leading from our kitchen sink to the basement became clogged and overflowed in the basement (carrot and potato peels from the garbage disposal all over the basement floor--lovely). I called J.H. Peterson on a Tuesday and they scheduled someone to arrive first thing the next morning. The company's customer service is impeccable. When the scheduled plumber called in sick, the office called at 7:45 AM to ask if they could send an alternate plumber a bit earlier than our scheduled appt., and to let us know the person would look different from the photo in the confirmation email they had sent the day before (they run background checks, drug test all their employees, and send photos of your assigned plumber so you know who to expect). The plumber arrived right on time and was professional, gracious, quick, efficient and capable. He informed us of the cost of the proposed fix, asked if that was acceptable and had us sign a document agreeing to the price, then snaked our pipes and fixed the problem within about an hour - 90 minutes. He also gave us good advice about use of the garbage disposal, maintenance of the drain, etc. Absolutely excellent service (albeit at a higher than average cost).
