WONDERFUL. I cannot recommend Charles (owner), Andrew (Charles' BIL), and Steve (Charles' brother) and their crew highly enough. HomeRun is a family owned and operated business, and they operate like one. They are responsive, punctual, meticulous, and bent over backwards to work with us on everything. I've heard many describe their renovation experience as stressful and nerve-racking, but they made it almost fun. (No, really.) When Charles said something would happen at a certain time, it did. He responded to my emails and phone calls in a punctual manner. When the granite I wanted ended up not being available, he brought me to another place to find something I liked as much. Andrew was so meticulous with his workmanship. They worked on my kitchen island until I loved it (adding molding around the bottom so it had that furniture look I wanted). Of course, things always happen during a renovation--like Andersen windows sending the wrong size windows twice. But Charles did his best to ensure the project progressed to the extent possible before they arrived, and they put up a plywood wall to protect the house until the windows arrived. Also, their prices are very fair, given the quality of their work, attention to detail, and stress-free experience. I honestly never felt that we were being "taken for a ride"...which is rare, indeed. Integrity, unfortunately, is hard to come by, but Charles, Andrew, and Steve have it in spades. We are seriously thinking about moving, and I'm heartbroken to have to leave my new kitchen and sunroom behind. But the first thing I did before making an offer on this new house was call Charles to come out and give an estimate to work his magic on the place. He came and walked through the house with us and the realtor, and I had an estimate 2 days later. I joked with him that we were moving just so we could have the experience of working with them again!
Description of Work: Had enclosed portion of deck made into a 3-season room: Removed the wall framing for all three sides; re-framed the three walls; installed new white vinyl 2-section slider windows with grids; installed a full-view door on the right wall leading to the deck; installed new subflooring over the existing deck; installed 2 new 6X6 posts with concrete footers to support new room; installed indoor/outdoor carpeting; removed and replaced wood siding on the sides of the porch and new wood trim around the windows; stained the exterior; removed the vinyl siding on the interior wall, and then added drywall and painted it; installed wood trim around the windows and door; installed new lights on the exterior; hauled away all the debris; removed a large window and replaced it with a sliding door leading into the dining room. Kitchen renovation: Removed all the existing countertop and backsplash; installed new granite countertop and travertine tile with glass/metal accent tile backsplash; installed undermount stainless sink, garbage disposal, faucet, and dishwasher (appliances not included in price, as we bought those separately); installed flooring under the dishwasher and re-connected the water and waste lines for the dishwasher; rebuilt kitchen island with new cabinets and drawers; patched all drywall damage in the kitchen and family room (from prior flooding); painted kitchen and family room (walls, trim, and ceilings); installed 2 new cabinet doors with glass inserts; hauled away all debris Dining room light and ceiling fan: Andrew also moved the light from the dining room into the kitchen, installed a new light in the dining room, and replaced the ceiling fan in our bedroom

Home Run's service was great. They were convenient and easy to talk to. They were reasonably priced also.
Description of Work: I used Home Run to repair my roof and some rafters that weren't up to code.
The job was done very professionally. The team was helpful, knowledgeable and very professional. The reason I selected them over the other 4 companies I received estimates from, is the detail they went into for the repair of the 24' exterior wall. They were the only company who stated that a temp wall needed to be installed when the exterior wall to the house was torn out in order to keep the roof from caving in. That attention to the rest of the house impressed me greatly. Everything I asked for inside was done well. They also removed all their debris. Sheetrock was installed to perfection. nice finish. They did forget to put the safety boards up on the sliding glass door leading to the outside since there is no deck there yet. I called the owner and requested this uncompleted task to be done, however, it has still not yet been done. If that had occurred, the job would have been an A++. I rate them a A- for not following up on installing the safety boards after all this time.
Description of Work: Back wall of house had been infested with termites, floors, joists, walls were eaten clean through. Home Run came in and rebuilt wall, removed old 12' window and replaced with sliding glass door, repaired 12 floor joists, insulated and installed new vinyl siding on exterior of house where wall had to come down.
We set up an appointment for an estimate. Steve arrived promptly, he walked through the house and gave detailed explanations as well as a time frame to complete the work. All employees arrived on time and completed the project exactly as they promised. The work was completed in four days! We are so impressed with the entire job! The painting is EXCELLENT!!!! Steve is to be commended for his professionalism as well as the outstanding work ethic of his crew!
Description of Work: We had water damage from flooding that resulted in a need to repair dry wall in the bedroom, family room, and a bathroom; and flooring. The work was outstanding so we had some additional things completed as a result of their fair prices and attention to details. We had hardwood floors installed in the master bedroom and the family room; carpet in one bedroom and recessed lighting in the family room and bedroom; dry wall repaired and painting in the family room and bedroom. They shopped for the exact measurement of the replacement bathroom cabinet, delivered and installed it! The work was top notch! They were prompt, gave clear explanations, and very thorough! They cleaned up the area in an extremely professional manner. We have a few other projects that we plan to complete at a later date and we will definitely use Home Run Remodelers!

Very happy with the quality of the work and the professionalism. They did a good job cleaning up. He had to come back to finish the bathroom ceiling. They did a very good job for an extremely picky homeowner, and finished the majority of the work in just one day.

Home Run bid on a job that we eventually gave to someone else. Mr. Lee was on time, offered an excellent plan, adjusted it to meet our concerns, and was professional at all times. We ended up giving it to another contractor because that contractor offered storage for our basement items during the construction. We would be happy to do business with Home Run in the future.

I chose Home Run because of their excellent rating. I called and spoke with the owner Charles, and we set up an appointment for him to come to my house. When he did not show up, I waited until an hour had passed and called and left a message. I have never heard anything back.

Response from Home Run Remodelers
It is true that I missed the scheduled appointment with Member. I called the next day to apologize and reschedule. I left her a voice message but never heard back. Therefore, I thought Member had selected another company to install her crown molding. I was at a jobsite and lost track of time as I was going over some work details with the client. I am truly sorry for missing the appointment as everyone's time is valuable.

Charles Lee, President of Home Run Remodelers, came out promptly and gave us an estimate. He spent as much time as we needed answering questions and considering options. Construction started within one week of estimated start time. The crew was able to finish in two days which was one day less than original estimate. We were completely satisfied with the quality of the work. The crew did a good job of cleaning up each day. One of the deck boards had an unusual amount of shrinkage after several weeks. Mr Lee was very responsive and agreed to replace it promptly.
Description of Work: They replaced a badly weathered deck including deck boards, bench railing and steps. They created an access panel so that we can reach an electrical cord under the deck.

Home Run was able to do this job in four days - something other contractor's said wasn't possible. The guys from Home Run showed up at AM and worked past PM ever day. The progress was fast and efficient. I was very happy with the end result as well as the speed at which it was done. I wish all my projects went this smoothly. I was so happy with the results that I'm now recommending them to my friends and talking with them about doing additional work.
Description of Work: I own a four unit apartment building that I wanted to update the back porches on. The original back porches were failing, warped, and rotten. I asked Home Run to come in and re-frame the porches, re-install the screens, install new doors, and install new siding.

There aren't and don't with Home Run. They constructed the deck, used top quality material and I couldn't ask for more.
Description of Work: Home Run tore down the existing wood deck and replaced it with a slightly larger deck made of a composite vinyl material plus, installed railings and steps. They showed up every day on time and worked hard to complete the installation as designed.

They were on time and professional. I had a problem with some trimming; they took the trimming down and went to the factory to get the color I wanted. When I Called the boss to share my complaint he knew, and had it taken care of and when I got home in the afternoon the trimming I wanted was put up.
Description of Work: They put siding up on my home in February.
I selected Home Run Remodelers because of Charles Lee, the head of the company. When he came to our house to discuss the project, I could tell that he was very thorough in his approach to analyzing the project. He was able to detail each of the many tasks that were involved in creating the bedroom. More importantly, though, I was impressed that he had the vision and creativity for making the most of our awkward space in the basement. Charles is quite professional and handles everything in a professional manner. I was very pleased with him and his colleagues at every step of the process. They were able to complete the project on time. The resulting bedroom is beautiful and exceeds our expectations.
Description of Work: Home Run Remodelers created a bedroom in our basement by dividing the largest room into two separate rooms. This work involved some carpentry, drywall, painting and electrical work.

I have an existing large deck that required new treads and railing. The problem was that I wanted it to match a recent addition and porch to tie in the architecture of the house. Charles Lee came out and walked me through all the requirements and responded to any concerns I had in an informative and professional manner. He made sure that the rework was up to grade with the county's requirements and ensured high quality results. Even though we had rain delays, his crew finished on time and left the property completely free of debris. During the project we agreed on some additions and deletions to the original contract, these were made and appropriate charges and deductions were kept to the satisfaction of both the owner and contractor. At the end of the project a very short punch list was resolved promptly, without any problems. His crew was very courteous and and kept the disruption of the surrounding area to a minimum. I found this whole process quite rewarding in that I knew what was happening at all times which allowed for required changes to ensure an exceptional result. I would refer Home Run Remodelers to anyone looking for a high quality job at a equitable price.
Description of Work: Rebuild a second story 350 square foot deck, add stairs and reinforce structure to be with in building code. Replace treads and railing with composite deck materials to match an existing design. Short time window of three weeks!

Mr. Lee was very helpful and provided me with a number of different options and explained the advantages and disadvantages of various decking material. He also suggested changes to my original ideas for the new deck based on his experience and knowledge of the county building codes in my area. He e-mailed me an estimate with a couple of business days of the initial inspection, which included pricing for two different decking materials. I ended up going with a different contractor, but would definitely have Home Run Remodelers back for future work.

Impressed with Mr. Lee's knowledge. Not impressed with later response.
Description of Work: Quick response to email inquiry and good informative meeting with Mr. Lee, who gave us info that we needed to consider. Because my original project idea had problems to be addressed before any further work could be done, the project was postponed. When I tried to contact Mr. Lee a month later, I did not receive a response. I suspect his schedule was full, but it would have been great to hear from him.

Emailed him. He responded quickly. Made an appointment, he came out to the house. Requested an estimate from him. Had a lovely conversation with him, he seemed professional in person. He left without giving me an estimate, promised to email a quote within the week. I never heard back from him again, no quote, no email, no phone call, no follow up. Not very professional. I should note that before contacting him, I read another report on Angie's list of someone complaining that he didn't get back to them. Unfortunately, I ignored that comment--that's the last time I ignore an angie's list comment. I should have listened.

Mr. Lee was probably the most intently customer service-oriented vendor that I talked with. He came out on a terribly rainy day and spent as much time with me as he thought I needed. To submit his designs, he asked to come back and talk with me directly as opposed to dropping them off. He then walked me through the designs -- there were two alternatives -- and the construction issues that went toward the quality of the work that he would do. I was impressed that he brought two options, one that was exactly what I asked for and the other took my ideas and translated them into a different design.
Description of Work: We wanted to add a new deck in our fairly large background. The yard is sloped at a diagonal, so the grade of the ground can be challenging. I had one concept of what I wanted to see, but also explained that I was trying to get away from the boxy feel of the yard, introduce some contrast, and include a stair into the rest of the yard for access, but also for displaying planters.

I contacted Home Run Re-modelers to get an estimate to screen in my deck and install lights/ceiling fan in the screen ceiling. Mr. Charles Lee came on March 11. He spent some time taking numerous measurements and discussing various options, most of which I agreed with. He told me he get an estimate to me by the following Friday (3/18). I did not hear from by 3/31 so I called him. He told me that he had had an emergency and would email me the estimate in a few days. I never heard from him or Home Run again. This is no way to run a business. I am very disappointed and quite frankly consider this lack of customer (even prospective) care extremely rude. I would not recommend Home Run for an business.
Description of Work: Screening in a (24 ft. x 12 ft.) elevated deck. The enclosure required 2 entrances and the installation of lights and a ceiling fan in the finished screened room.
The process went very smoothly. Charles was prompt and extremely responsive. He reviewed the project and offered suggestions on activities to include and material options. He met with us several times to review options and discuss potential for reducing costs. As soon as a crew was available, he called to see if they could start the work immediately. The crew arrived on-time, was friendly and efficient. We were also able to discuss options/changes to the project along the way (for example, the initial plan was to remove the existing hose connection inside the porch. It was determined that was not necessary. They were able to just add a new one outside the porch). The crew worked independently and was respectful of my family. They notified us when they would be using loud equipment, to not surprise/scare the kids as well as when the water would need to be turned off in the house. They cleaned up nicely along the way and at the end of each day. I highly recommend Home Run Remodelers.
Description of Work: Home Run Remodelers renovated our existing screened-in porch. They stripped the interior of the porch down to the foundation and added new decking for the floor, new panels for the wall, new screens, enclosed the roof rafters with a new ceiling, replaced the fan, the door from the house to the porch and the door from the porch to the backyard. The also added a new hose connection outside the porch.
