Excellent Carpet Cleaning

I have 5 Karastan carpets that needed cleaning in my home. I called Excellent and they gave me a very competitive price for cleaning and re-binding the edges on 2 carpets. They were extremely helpful and professional on the phone. I needed the carpets back within a week for a function in my home. They promised to get them back on time. Once they assessed the binding needs, they contacted me and discussed the work they planned to do. Very professional and very helpful. They then quickly finished the work and dropped the carpets off on the scheduled date. They even dropped them off within a 1 hour window. Will definitely use this service again. Very well run business!

I had not used Excellent Carpet cleaning previously, but we just received furniture from a relative and which was in another relative's basement in storage for about 6 months. The furniture was cat and dog fur-covered, and in need of a general cleaning. We also have light colored wall-to-wall carpeting on the lower level of our house, which was also in need of cleaning (e.g., heavy traffic as well as pet accidents). I called and they had me on the schedule within 48 hours. The technician was prompt, courteous, and we were extremely pleased with the end result. Everything looks great! Pricing was very reasonable.

It went very well. The two men who cleaned our basement carpet did a great job. Arrived on time, wore protective shoe covers, did an excellent job at cleaning the carpet which had quite a few stains on it. They also rolled up the rug and took it with them. It came back about three weeks later and was nicely cleaned.

Scheduling was good, the receptionist was very nice and got me an appointment quickly. They did a great job. The only thing that they didn’t do was the inside of the closets which I assumed they would have done in the carpet cleaning since it is part of the room. I am happy with the overall experience.

Scheduling was fine and they took care of our needs. They arrived on time. They were really good with cleaning up after removing the carpet. We had to take the carpets out due to my wife's respiratory problems and put in hardwood flooring.

They did a very nice job and the carpets were cleaned very well. We misunderstood the minimum price for the carpet stretching. We understood after the fact and it was fine. Maybe a little bit more communication by the provider on this issue would have been better.

I had high hopes for ECC. I was in a bind and my normal carpet cleaning company had to cancel due to a family emergency. I joined Angie's List to help save time on researching various companies since time was a constraint. ECC was very responsive on the phone and scheduled an appointment for a few days later. Before their arrival, a representative from ECC called twice to let us know they were on the way. I also liked the one hour window of time they gave instead of the normal 2 hour window. My husband was home when the 2 technicans arrived and he showed them the 2 rooms, 2 sofas, and chari/ottoman we would like cleaned. My husband was in shock when the estimate that was provided was $800, which is more than twice what we normally pay for this cleaning. I was at my child's school assembly so my husband frantically called me as he knew that was not within our normal budget for this service. I was very disappointed as we had to immediately decide what to do since we were having 50 guest over the following weekend and with 3 kids and a shedding dog, we needed this cleaning badly. We decided to only have them do the furniture, which was very disappointing. The previous night I had cleared out all the furniture from these rooms and vacuum thoroughly, too, so I felt that time was now wasted. When I expressed my displeasure at not knowing the high price beforehand, I was told that it is listed on the web site. Since I went through Angie's list, I did not use the company's website. In hindsight, I should have asked for an estimate over the phone but the service representative should also offer this as well. Price is a critical point with most consumers and I don't think the burden should be on us to always remember to ask for it, it should be routine, especially for an Angie's List recommended provider. The other companies I had called quoted me between $300-400 but they could not fit us in as quickly. I was also disappointed that ECC did not offer any other discounts and the Angie's List discount was even further limited since we had to scale back our original request. The staff seemed sorry about the "misunderstanding" but actions speak louder than words and it would have been nice for them to be more flexible on their pricing and possibly agreed to do one room at a discounted price. Another issue was that it took over 2 1/2 hours to just clean the furniture. While that would have been fine if the quality was exceptional, for the time and the high price, I felt the cleaning was comparable to our other service provider and the price was 50% less.

They came on time and did a great job

The rug had been stored in the garage for several months and had some water stains. The representative who came to the house said he wasn't sure if they could get the stains out but they would do their best. When the carpet was delivered, I had them open it up. The stain is gone and it looks great!

This company cleaned two area carpets we purchased at estate sales. We are a military family and have had carpets cleaned by numerous companies around the country. This company has been the best by far. "Excellent Carpet Cleaning" name says it all ~ they are excellent in every respect and truly attentive to customer concerns.

I was trying to have the cleaning done quickly and they tried to come out the same day however we were unable to accommodate this so they scheduled for the following week. We were very pleased with the sectional couch and the Persian hallway rug but mildly disappointed in the armless couch as a pillow that came with the couch was missed and some spots seemed to have required a bit more attention. Excellent Carpet Cleaning called to follow up after the appointment and we shared this feedback not expecting any accommodations. They however asked to send someone back to treat the 7 ft. couch again. They came back and took care of the additional pillow as well as re-treated the areas of concern which resulted in the removal of the spots. The couch looks almost new now. We were very impressed with the professionalism and their proactive approach to address a very mild disappointment. We will be using Excellent Carpet Cleaning for all of our future upholstery needs and highly recommend them.

Rafel cleaned my carpet on October 9, 2013. He did an excellent job, working hard. He measured the carpet and charged me fairly. The next day I noted a green stain. I called them and explained that it might have been a problem of the cleaning- or it might not. I thought it might have been caused by my bathmat being there- but it might have been there long ago. They sent another technician Rashid. He thought it was a dye stain and came in and bought a lot of cleaning liquids and machines. He worked the stain and got most of it. What impressed me was that they didn't charge extra, but took responsibility for finishing the job even though they could have argued that the stain was already there and that I should have caught it in the walkthrough. The one thing to be aware of is that they don't call you ahead of time unless you ask. I thought they would call 30 minutes ahead of time. So be sure to negotiate that.

Very professional service from the instant estimate to the friendly, prompt technician. Excellent worked with my tight schedule and got to my house early. When the job was done, our filthy carpet looked brand new.

Cleaned carpets very well the first time, spent 5 hours at house. Rugs super clean. Repaired oriental corner where dog had chewed. can't even see repair. Second cleaning not as good, and carpert is showing signs of stains. There were 2 different cleaners.

Workers very timely, friendly and worked efficiently

Junior came several weeks ago and sent an estimate for the cleaning in an E-mail a day later. I chose the gold service and called to schedule my cleaning and carpet repair. Initially, they were going to schedule the repair separately from the cleaning, but I asked them to schedule both services on the same day. They use a contractor for the repairs, and needed to coordinate. Everything was scheduled for the same day, and both repairs and cleaning took place at the same time, which worked well. Junior and Alex arrived on time to clean the carpets. They worked non stop on the carpets. It took about 3 hours. The carpet install/repairman was a professional. He did a great job. The carpet wasn't installed as nicely originally. I had asked Junior to be especially careful of the hardwood floors and he put down a tarp on the floors. They use plastic hoses, but I didn't want water or scratches on the floor and the tarp was appreciated. The carpets look clean. They did a great job handling the furniture. A few spots and stains along the wall did not clean up, but the carpets are old and have never been professionally cleaned before. All in all, it was a good experience and I will call them back for cleaning in the future. They were professional and did a great job.

We have a large carpeted area in our basement that is relatively new but between a dog, two cats and children running in and out it had really taken a beating. I had tried to use my own steam cleaner but it just wasn't strong enough. The two technicians were wonderful -- punctual and very professional. They explained the pricing estimate to me in detail prior to cleaning and answered all of my questions. I went ahead and had them clean the stairs as well because the price was reasonable. The basement carpet looked new again after they finished! I was very pleased that they were able to get several stains out including blood and ink and pet stains! Amazing! The area rug took about three weeks to clean and return but it was well worth the time. We had several puppy training accidents that had really created an odor in the rug so we had the pet odor treatment as well which worked out nicely.

Excellent work. One of my two area rugs is a shag carpet and I had no idea how to clean it. Excellent Carpet Cleaning picked up, cleaned, and delivered the rugs to my house. Carpets were fresh and clean.

From the moment that I made the appointment by phone, the experience with outstanding. The lady on the phone was extremely pleasant and was able to make an appointment in the near future. 'Junior" showed up on time for the appointment, was professional and courteous. He stayed 2.5 hours and left us with a spotless, incredibly clean carpet. We wish we had known about E.C.C. before. We will definitely use them again.

Everything was excellent, They came on-time and the price was as expected. I would recommend their service to others.

They did a great job. It was a relatively new rug and our ceiling had collapsed and they cleaned up the dirt and dust from that ceiling collapse. They were on-time and personable and were very good about keeping everything clean.
