Dryer Vent Wizard

The work was done very well. The technician came in and did an evaluation first. He then went over the pricing step-by-step, explaining where the costs came from for each step (brick facade equals so and so amount to drill through, etc.). Once we agreed to the pricing, he proceeded to do the work. He was courteous and professional. If he needed anything, he would always find me or my spouse before continuing on with the work. Overall, we are very satisfied and happy that we can now use our washer and dryer.

They were great to work with! After a week and a half without being able to dry clothes, we are so happy they came out and got us up and running again! (They removed a bird's nest from our dryer vent, which is 4 stories high, cleaned out our system, replaced an old connecting hose, and installed a new dryer vent cover so we won't have any more bird nests in the future.)

I spoke with a very courteous customer service agent who worked me into the day's schedule. A technician, Eric B., arrived at my home within an hour, assessed the dryer connections, and addressed all the issues promptly and professionally. It was great - DeQuaun Tyson was our technician. He arrived on time, he was polite and professional. He paid attention to the information I was giving him and then looked everything over before giving me an estimate. The work was fully completed within 1.5 hours of his arrival and he double-checked his two work spaces. Then his supervisor came by for a quick 5 min check on his work. All's great! Will definitely hire them again!

Technician was very professional, explained the work before it was performed and was very thorough. We ordered a new gas dryer but the installer from Best Buy said they could not install dryer until a new vent line that was up to code was installed. We called Dryer Vent Wizard and they were out in time to do the work before the next delivery date. Also signed up for yearly contract so we will use them to service our line in the future. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and I would recommend them highly.

Everything went well. Eric showed up at the exact time he said he would, and was courteous and professional throughout. He conducted the inspection and cleaning of our dryer vents in a quick, yet thorough manner. He provided an explanation of the dryer vent systems as well as a rundown of the work he performed. This was the worst experience I have had with a contractor. The technician, Lester, was patronizing and rude. The estimate was extremely high (close to $500) and when I questioned why certain things were included, Lester was incredulous as to why I would be asking ("If you don't care about it for your family, at least care about it for my family." What?) He admitted some charges did not apply and took them off, but when I pointed out an additional charge (for $100) that did not apply, he got upset and said he had already taken other things off. I was looking for a professional who would change a fair price and treat me respectfully. That was not what I got. I work with many contractors and this was the worst experience I have had in terms of technician behavior and pricing for things that didn't happen. It was really outrageous. In the end I paid $39 for the pleasure.

No service was performed, as they refused to even provide a rough price estimate until I had someone come out for a inspection, which cost $39 regardless of whether I opted to use them. Called a competitor, who had no inspection fee and provided a price range on the phone.

The dryer vent hose that goes out of the back of the dryer to the outside; I needed a new one and they replaced it. The price was standard.

Very well. He also vacuumed the floor and helped me wipe it down. He vacuumed the lint filter inside the dryer as well. He was prompt, quite pleasant but professional, did the job efficiently, but was amenable to going the extra little mile to do it to my satisfaction.

They f*****g sucked. They destroyed my parent's ceiling in their bedroom. They took advantage of senior citizens. It was the worse. The dryer was not drying, so my parents called a repairman to come out. That repairman determined that the vent was clogged and needed cleaning, so he recommended Dryer Vent Wizard. Dryer Vent Wizard came out for $40 and did an evaluation of it. My parents have a vent that runs 30' through a garage and up the length of the house, so they snaked it and detected a clog at the end that was an accumulation of lint. They had to go through the attic to get to it. They wrote up an estimate with a bunch of numbers on it. I was listening to the conversation with my father. They quoted my father $480. My father being 89 years old agrees to it because his wife wants the dryer fixed. He went to go to an appointment and comes back to find that they charged his wife $550 for this job. He gets ballistic and goes irate. Wally, who was the lead guy, evidently left his drill in the attic so he had to come back. My father goes off on this dude and he agreed to refund the difference of the $75. He called his company and they said they would send a check. I don't know if they ever sent the check or not. They were horrible. They were punctual. I would not recommend them to anybody, except to Donald Trump.

On time and efficient. The cost was reasonable basically I ended up paying what I would have for a service charge for someone to analyze the problem so I got a deal.

Eric was very professional. He arrived on-time and gave us a phone call letting us know he was a few minutes away. Professional appearance and manner, had all the tools, ladders, etc., that he needed. Eric provided a brief explanation and verbal estimate of what he thought would be involved before getting on our roof for further inspection. While on the roof he discovered that not quite as much work was required as he originally thought for one part of the job so he reduced the price of the job to reflect this. The work was performed very well. The inspection and cleaning revealed that part of our dryer vent consisted of substandard materials that should be replaced (out of code). Eric was very thorough in his explanation, including pictures he took while on our roof, etc. Rather than attempt a repair or force a cleaning, Eric suggested we look to replace the materials. This resulted in him being able to charge us less than otherwise, saving us money and potential damage to the vent system. Eric also reduced part of the service charge he would normally apply because we were members of Angie's List. We were very pleased with the service we received and very impressed with Eric as a business owner and individual. Thorough, honest and a fair price. We definitely recommend his service and will look for an opportunity to work with him again ourselves when the circumstances arise.

Everyone at Dryer Vent Wizard was great. They were very professional, very polite (and amazingly neat). Because the dryer vent was behind the wall, they had to cut into the drywall. They put down tarps and did not leave even a trace of dust (unbelievable). They did a great job of explaining everything they did. Could not have had a better experience. Dryer Vent Wizard is now on my list of "good people" and will use them for an annual cleaning. These guys are the best!

The dryer stopped working and the check filter light kept flashing. Eric took s quick look and immediately realized that the internal connection fell off so the link has been accumulating inside the dryer housing--a dangerous condition. I helped him to get the stacked up dryer down and he took the top and front apart to vacuum the inside. Eric is extremely pleasant and responsible. He explained what he was doing the while time. I also helped him unscrew a few things here and there and learned the structure of the machine . It was such. Pleasant experience.
