Techinician arrived as promised and, for the $125 diagnostic fee, determined that the thermocouple was malfunctioning. They provided an estimate for an additional $499 to replace the entire pilot assembly because the thermocouple was not sold by itself. At that point, I decided to research the problem on the manufacturer’s website- they suggested cleaning the tip of the ignition assembly - I did so and have not had any problems for over a month now. I feel the tech should have cleaned the tip to see if that fixed the problem. I asked Chimney.com to refund my diagnostic fee - they declined. I gave them a”D” rating because they were punctual and the technician was pleasant.

The service call was to replace the old damper. The fireplace inspection and cleaning was an after thought and half price b/c he was already here. Jeremy and his coworker were very professional. They weren't able to complete all work at once, as it was raining, but we paid only for the work performed at that time, and it was no problem getting them back to finish up. We had the work done to bring our chimney up to code so we could replace our natural gas water heater. Jeremy spoke with our plumbers by phone to ensure everything was in order. When the plumbers came to replace the water heater, they discovered that the new chimney duct work(?) bypassed the water heater. We contacted Chimney.com and were put in touch with Jeremy almost immediately. He talked with the plumbers, and they determined it was the result of a miscommunication problem from earlier. Chimney.com even sent a check to cover the extra cost of having the plumbers fix the ductwork. To me, that shows these professionals have a great deal of integrity and pride in their work, as well as care for the customer. I would certainly hire them again!

We were very pleased. We got an appointment immediately (due to a cancellation). Tim came in the early part of the appointment window we had been given, and he called ahead (very important). He cleaned, checked, and serviced all the units very efficiently, and resolved what could have become a serious problem with one of the units. He took the time to explain and demonstrate the proper functioning of the units and what sort of preventive maintenance we could do to avoid any problems in the future. His explanations were absolutely clear. Tim was very professional and pleasant. It was a really good experience.

It went very well. They were the fourth contractor I contacted. The first one quoted a price and then when they arrived they tried to double the price. The second one could not do it and the third one wanted $600 for a job that only costs $150. Chimney.com staff were very professional. They quoted a price and honored it even when they had to come twice for the installation due to the elevation and shape of the roof. They will my contractor of choice from now on for any chimney related issue!

Chimney.com came our promptly and found the problem - a clogged flue pipe filled with debris and soot. They cleaned it out and furnace is running fine now.

No show. 1.5 hours into the 3 hr service window I left a voice message to make sure they had my correct contact number. I was called back a few minutes later and informed the technician had called in sick that morning. I suspect they just forgot about our appointment. They were then not very flexible about rescheduling so I told them I'd go with another company. This was disappointing because we have a small window of time in which to get repairs done before moving and renting out our place, and we had to travel especially to the appointment.

This company is extremely professional and trustworthy. While the inspection turned up a few things that should be done, they did not try to quickly sell these as immediate needs. They told me that it would be fine to use the fireplace and wait a year or two on the other fixes. I would certainly rehire this company to fix those issues.

My gas fireplace wasn't working correctly so I contacted this company. Scheduling was easy and response was prompt. They had to come out 2 times - once for the initial inspection to find out what was wrong, and another time to replace the switch. I think it was a little expensive for the 15-minutes it took to change our what essentially is a light switch, but the guys were nice and prompt.

Service was professional, conducted in a timely fashion (work began quite quickly), and reasonably priced considering the extent of the repairs and installation. Having one provider that could manage everything--flues, masonry, gas installation--was a huge plus.

Excellent. One property had no issues and the chimney was cleaned in 15 minutes. The next property was cleaned in 15 minutes, although the technician noticed some major cracking in the fire bricks on the interior of the fireplace and recommended replacement before being used. He was very informative on the cost and options, but was not overly pushy on trying to have me sign up for the repair on the spot. I will be using them for the repair in the future. I purchased the chimney cleaning service online (valid at one location) and the office honored the discounted price for my second location! Totally recommend this company.

Despite the request, the first technician was not qualified to adjust the gas settings so a second appointment was made. The technician arrived on time, was very through, and took extra care in cleaning and replacing the logs as before. Overall the service was great!
