Originally scheduled for 1/13/15 from 10 am to 1 pm and was told by the office that I would receive a call 30 minutes before the technician would arrive. 10 minutes before the time was to expire, I called the office letting them know that I had not received a call and wondering if the technician had been delayed. I was told that the technician was still at the last job and had not left yet. Because I had other appointments scheduled for the afternoon due to my work schedule, I decided to reschedule for the weekend. When speaking with the person @ the office and asking why the technician had not called to let me know that he was behind schedule, I was told that "they are supposed to but they don't listen"! I am giving them another chance since the company had such good reviews and hope that they will follow through as scheduled for this 2nd appointment but will not use them in the future if we have the same problem!

It went very smoothly. Technician completed the job in under 2 hours. Difficult site access with very tall chimney and steep roof pitch. New crown material can be seen from ground level and it appears to be a thorough replacement, although somewhat uneven in finish. The rest of the job cannot be viewed from ground level, so I must assume it is complete and professionally done.

The first visit was a discounted cleaning and inspection based on a promotional flier. The cleaning was done, along with the recommendations for repairing and sealing deteriorating chimney elements. Repair technicians who returned as scheduled indicated an initial misdiagnoses by the previous technician, so the required repairs were more than initially expected. Nevertheless, I believed what I was told when shown pictures of deterioration at the top of the chimney and an explanation of how problems will occur without repair (and I had already experienced leakages into the house of rain through cracks in the chimney). Not having any previous experience with chimney work, I believe this service to be of fair value, even though I did not want to go through the hassle of getting a second opinion. The personnel were good problem solvers, hard and efficient workers and good fellows.

They were on time and very nice. It turned out that my fireplace was so old that they couldn't really help me. The manufacturer was no longer in business, so getting new parts was going to be difficult/impossible. When the technician left he said he would research getting parts and get back to me, but he never did. I called after a couple weeks, and he apologized that he hadn't had time to look into it, and said he would get to it in the next couple days and then get back to me. I never heard from him again.

All contacts were prompt and pleasant. Obviously, this is a very professional service. Arrival was timely and all services were completed in about an hour. Scheduling service was easy. I received my warranty and a thorough explanation of all services performed. I would recommend Chimney.Com to anyone.

Original appointment was for 10/28/14 between 11AM and 1PM; no show and no telephone call. After waiting for about an hour or I called the office and was told by Mr. Harris that the tech was at my house but I didn't answer the door; later we determined that the tech was at the wrong house; later I received a call from Kyle informing me that the technician had an emergency and had to leave; two excuses as to why the technician did not come at the appointed time. Long story short they said that they needed to build a scapple to complete the job but to compensate me for my inconveniece it would be no additional cost to me. I rescheduled with Chimney.com and the work commenced on 10/31/2014 and was completed on 11/3/14. The gentlement worked very hard and from the ground the work looked good from the shoulder up. I noticed that my flood light was detached from the wall and was told by the techs that they would return the end of the week to reattach the flood light because they did not have the tools the attach it that day. The next day I called and spoke with, I believe the office manager, and explained the situation with the flood light and requested that the tech take a picture of the work performed on the crown and email it to me. He first asked me if I was paid in full, which I thought was strange; I informed him that he was to use the same credit card that was used for the deposit for the final payment. He verified the card information and said that the techs would fix the floor light and take the picture and that someone from the office would email the picture to me. Well, approximately three or four phone calls and one email message to the office no response what so ever. I called Mr. Harris yesterday, who was out sick but took the time to return my call this morning. Mr. Harris informed me that someone from the office would be calling me shortly to give me the date that someone would handle this delima. I explained to Mr. Harris that I was hoping that this would be taken care of because I did not want to include this in my review with Angie's list nor BBB, but if it was not taken care of that I would because other consumers have a right to know. No one never called from the office but a tech did show up today and attached my flood light. I asked the tech about the picture and was told that he did not take a picture because the office told him that they already had the picture. I emailed the office again today asking for the email, needless to say I did not receive the email. I was hoping to see the picture so that I will know that the crown was repaired, they showed my the before picture so to me it is common sense to show me the after picture; now I'm wondering if the coat of Hex Crum was laid on the crown; I will have my son to go on top of the roof and take pictures. If it looks good they will never hear from me again, unless my chimney starts to leak again; if not they will hear from my lawyer. This is an unfortunate incident because I was so pleased with what I could see that I told my sister to give them a call because she needs work on her Chimney, however I will call her later today to inform her not to call. My rating of professionalism was shaded because of this issue; the techs were very professional and as stated earlier from what I can see the work looks good and the chimney did not leak when it rained.

chimney.com cleaned our chimney which seems to have gone well...they recommended a pretty expensive repointing of the chimney which we agreed to do after looking at other bids. BUT, they agreed to come this morning, didn't show, we called and left a message which they returned in two hours, and said they would come between 2 and 4, didn't come, called them again...they said they would come at 5....didn't here from them and as of 8: 00 pm tonight, still no word. They do not have anyone answering the phone, so you must leave a message they may or may not call you back. If we had not given them a credit card deposit we would have cancelled. Their work may or may not be good but their customer responsiveness so far, is horrible.

Job was done on time, just thought the cost was high for the amount of work

An estimate for chimney repair/masonry repair was provided after the free inspection. It is way beyond our expectation. The total estimated cost is about $2,400. We will have to think about this. Thus no need the voucher/deal we purchased at this point. Please process the refund of $149 to us. Thanks.

I bought a deal through Angie's List. The provider arrived on time and was very professional. It was easy and quick. The fireplace has worked perfectly since.

Professional and courteous. Did a very nice job. Were working on a neighbors chimney when I asked Mike if he could give me an estimate to repair what I thought was a possible crown leak. Got an estimate, and was told they could do the job when they completed the neighbor's. Thanks Mike and Mekso(hope I got that right?)

Routine cleaning went quickly. It was recommended after the inspection to replace some cracked tiles in the pre-fab chimney structure. The estimate for repair was expensive so I might get another estimate.

When they did the inspection they said I needed a new insert. I paid them an additional $1200 to replace it. What they replaced it with was fairly minimal for what I paid. They came back and replaced it, but was still not what I thought I had paid for. The experience as a whole was more complicated than I would have liked.

My husband was here when he came, my husband tends to be very picky and will not hesitate to say where service falls short, but he said it was a very good experience and that he would use them in in future.

An estimate was provided promptly after first visit, new info. Made a second visit necessary. But nobody whined. Office kept in good contact. Mistakes promptly corrected. Courteous and professional staff. Job well finished.

I asked the team to replace my wood stove flue due to rust. The quote was free, the price a bargain, the work thorough (they also re-caulked my cap), and I wound up with a better-than-original result. Could not have been smoother, completely hassle-free.

It had been a while since I had had the chimney swept. A row clean was recommended which I accepted. Mike showed up on the appointed day on time and was courteous and professional. I felt the price was reasonable for the service provided. I would definitely use them again.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was great. They were honest completely through. They did a great job. They helped me work things out with respect to the money. They were straightforward and reliable. The deal was $99 and I ended up paying $5,000.

Services provide were done in very expedient and professional manner. I'll definitely use them again.

First off, I know nothing about chimneys and have never seen the inside of one. Our home is an older colonial and we took advantage of Chimney.com's special on Angie's list to see if we needed any repairs. We had what we think was a thorough repair job in 2006. Two young men came and went over everything wrong with dire warnings re our life due to potential carbon monoxide poisoning and other factors. They sent us an estimate for $5300.00. Since the cost was so high, we called Winston's to get a second opinion. What they recommended was much different that what Chimney.com did. The cost of their recommend repairs was $1300.00. So, of course, a dilemma. I repeatedly asked the Winston people if they were sure that what they recommended was ample and they insisted it was. So, who knows? Unless you are another chimney person, there is no way of knowing whose assessment was correct. But just to be on the safe side, we bought three carbon monoxide detectors and have one on each floor which we check regularly. PS. neither one showed pictures of their examinations although I asked both of them to take pictures!!! Winston showed some before and after pictures after the job was finished. But, hey, who knows whose chimney it actually was!!!
