Unfortunately, we don't have a ton of good things to say about this company. We called to schedule an estimate and no one arrived. When we called back, we discovered that they had never actually scheduled someone to come out. We re-scheduled someone to come out some time later. The person giving the estimate was very nice and very thorough, including climbing up onto the roof to give our chimney a full inspection. He provided a fair estimate based on others we had received from other companies. We decided to schedule service with them based on what the person giving us the estimate said. He truthfully stated, "We are not the cheapest, but we pride ourselves on the quality of our work and our standards of service." We scheduled the work to be done on November 21st, to be started around 8:30. At 8:15 we saw their truck parked outside our house and then drive away. At 9 am, when they hadn't returned, we called and were told the workers had an equipment problem. They called back at 9:30 stating that they would be back between 1-2, perhaps earlier. After canceling my plans for the day to wait for them, I was called at 1:50 pm to be told that the works would be another 45 minutes since they had to leave another job in order to get to our house that day. Furious that I was forced to wait longer, I spoke with a manager who informed me that he was sorry, he didn't know why the schedules were all mixed up and that since it was their busy season, we'd just have to go with it. The workers showed up around around 2:45 and promptly began their work. The two men who showed up are the ONLY reason I'm rating this company as high as I am. They were very hard working, courteous and extremely professional. The only problem they incurred was that the person so gave us the estimate measured incorrectly and they were short five feet of liner. They were forced to leave for another hour and come back with a new liner. They were finally able to wrap up our work around 5 pm. Again, these gentlemen were great. I cannot say enough good things about them. After speaking with the supervisor, we were called to let us know that they would provide another small discount of the total of the work done. We didn't feel that this was enough given the 2 days we had wasted with this company, however, the work was finished and it was, we believe, finished properly. I don't think that we will use their services again, despite their workers being as great as they were.

They did good with the cleaning, but they couldn't repair a piece in my fireplace. I feel like that they were trying to up sell me on something I didn't need.

Our window today was from 8-11am. Our provider, Brian, was running a little behind schedule, but had the courtesy to call and let us know when to expect him. This allowed me to run an errand prior to his arrival. Brian arrived within the scheduled window and did a great job with our cleaning. Brian is a super nice guy who's polite, courteous and professional. Brian made some important recommendations for work to be done on the fireplace to avoid potential chimney fires. He wrote up an estimate but there was no hard-sell which is always appreciated. Will definitely use them again.

Went great. very thorough cleaning and detailed inspection of 36 year old chimney. provided analysis of problems and estimate to repair and replace existing flue pipe crown, etc. recommend service highly.

Our fireplace insert and chimney were inspected and cleaned as part of an Angors's list deal. 2 items were found that needed attention. It was recommended that we replace the chase top as it showed some leaking of rain water. We agreed to have that extra work done. The contractor was on time, polite and showed pictures of what the condition of the chase top was. The other item was to connect two pieces of the flue (if I understood that correctly). The contractor improved the connections.

Tim did an excellent job. He was knowledgeable, prompt and very professional. I would certainly hire Chimney.com again and would ask for Tim.

Tim the Field Operations Manager was great. Gave a heads-up call when he was about 30 minutes away, did a quick cleaning (there wasn't much build-up), inspected the interior portion of the fireplaces as well as went up on the roof for an inspection of the brick pointing, flue, and lining. Tim clearly laid out recommendations. The only reason I gave price a grade of B is that for the recommendations I don't have any other quotes yet. For the cleaning and inspection of 2 chimneys $200 give or take seems to be the going rate.

Called 20 min prior to appointment. Arrived punctually Set up and performed services professionally. One little hiccup with some ash and soot blowing into living room. Cleaned it up. Inspected both chimneys and cleaned one. Cleaned up gear and left. Overall good job.

This was a promotion from Angie's list to have chimney swept. Tim was courteous and professional, arrived at time promised. He inspected chimney and showed me where there was some chimney maintenance and repointing needed. He showed me pictures of the concerns and left me estimate for performing the work at a later date. I have not yet engaged Chimney.com to perform the work, as it was at a cost level that I believe justifies a second inspection and competitive estimate.

Prompt, professional, discussed potential safety assessment, suggested some possible improvements that might be necessary in near future but put no pressure to proceed urgently.

It was excellent. I plan to have them return to replace the damaged bricks and seal the chimney. They were terrific.

Tech was very nice and professional. Did a good thorough job cleaning out my fireace and gave me a quote on chimney repairs. I would use them again.

We bought a $129 chimney cap deal off of Angie's List. Tim showed up during the right window and installed the cap. He made three additional recommendations. That wasn't a surprise since Chimney.com probably makes more money off of extra services than they do with the core Angie's List deal. But Tim's recommendations seemed sound. They were: 1) He suggested buying an extended chimney cap to cover both the fireplace and the furnace, which we didn't do since it was close to $400! 2) He suggested installing a top closing damper--something we probably need, but we didn't do since it was $450. 3) He suggested repair to the flashing around the chimney, which we did since nobody likes a leaky roof. I didn't go up to inspect myself, but Tim took pictures of his work to show me what he did. Would definitely use again.

The technician arrived on time and was very pleasant and professional. He did a through cleaning and inspection of my chimney and informed me of some defects that needed to be taken care of. He took pictures of the affected areas and provided a quote, which is good for up to a year. I truly felt the company had my best interest at heart, the price was fair and I will definitely contact them when ready to have the work done.

The service went perfectly. The whole special deal process went extremely well. Literally, immediately after I paid for my special deal, Chimney.com called to schedule an appointment at my convenience. We scheduled for Oct. 1 between 9:00 and 12:00 am. On that day, they called to tell me they were 10 minutes away and would be at my house shortly. They arrived first thing in the morning on time. The technician was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and efficient. In layman's terms he explained the workings of my gas fireplace and why it's best not to keep the pilot running all the time when the fireplace is not in use. It made immediate and clear sense to me. I was impressed. Chimney.com was careful not to dirty my house and carpet with cleaning the fireplace. They placed a tarp on the floor and carefully took the screen off and checked the functioning of the fireplace, cleaned it out, tuned it up, and as the ad said, repositioned my gas logs to ensure flame (and my) safety and esthetic appeal. They also added more of those little glowing embers or rocks. The fireplace looks great and I feel safe having it inspected and tuned. I have not had it tuned since it was installed five years ago. The whole process took only about an hour. I would definitely contact them again, primarily because I trust that they know what they are doing.

Workers arrived on time, worked extremely hard to tear down chimney - mason showed on time - perfect job from estimate/evaluation to clean-up.

Very friendly and professional, arrived within the window they gave. very knowledgeable and spent a lot of time for just an estimate. I wanted an estimate to change my gas fireplace to a wood burning fireplace, but also part of what i asked for was how much it would cost to fix my "broken" gas fire place and just make that functional. He showed me it wasn't broken and figured out how to turn it on for me. That could have cost him my business had i chosen to just use the gas fireplace but he did it in good faith and that was impressive.

Good day Chimney.com, I met with Tim Owens today and he was pleasant. He arrived around the time that he said he would be here and he was not late. He did what he came to do and explained when I asked questions. At the end he went over repairs and explained why they were needed. I hope to work with company in the future. The reason I marked B on price is because I had a second fireplace. I thought the price would be the same but I was charged a price of $150 when initially I thought it was the fire places in the house and I had two. That is all. Thank you! Robin J. Tim was every efficient, professional and courteous. He explained each step of his maintenance and checking procedures. At the end of the appointment when he had completed the gas fireplace maintenance, he suggested that I consider installing a stainless steel liner in the hot water heater flue to seal gas ventilation, which I will do in the future. He answered any questions I had clearly and I could see that he is very knowledgeable in all aspects of the job. In addition, he was pleasant and personable, and a very good representative of Chimney.com.
