I called for a level two chimney inspection that was required for the purchase of a home. The inspection had to be complete by noon. Chimney.com gave me a window of 8am to 10am for the inspection. I stressed it's importance and said several times, "the earlier the better." They said they can't guarantee that the person will be there right at 8am, but this was his first appointment so it shouldn't be an issue. At 9am they still had not shown or called. My client called the technician directly. "Sorry, about that. My office didn't tell me this one was so important, so it's third on my list. I can get out there in a few hours." No thanks.

High quality damper, professionally installed. The removed the old bottom damper quickly and cleanly, and kept the work area clean with a shop vac as well as covering the floor around the mantle. Not the cheapest, but reasonable.

$99 chimney sweep took technician about 5 min, $149 cap installation took about the same amount of time. Technician also offered to fix mortar on chimney for about $350. I was happy with service, surprised by higher costs/estimates than I expected. However, to be fair, I have no idea if costs are competitive.

Will use Chimney.com to service my gas fireplace in the future. Although this job was pretty simple, I was impressed with the Chimney service reps who came out to clean the fireplace, restart the pilot, and give me some (life saving) information on how to operate the gas fireplace. Since this gas fireplace came with my house when I purchased it, I was unfamiliar with some basic operating instructions. Chimney.com service reps gave me some info that I would not have known to ask. I definitely appreciate their high level of conscientiousness and service. Thanks!

In order for pipe get then the chimney. They had to use having duty drill to crack basement concrete and bricks. Incidentally, this action disabled my phone line. While they are not electricians their boss Tim come by the next day. And fix the problem! Good job!

Project went well, took about 3 hours. Rip and replace of a 40yr old Natural Gas furnace flue (about 25 feet worth of B-Vent) that was corroded and generally worn out. Replaced full length from furnace (basement) to exterior roofline (attic). Pricing seemed a smidge high, however it was significantly cheaper than another quote we received and I am now assured it was done with proper parts and people experienced in this sort of work and safety codes. It was a CO2 hazard after all. Workers onsite were easy to talk with and they all took their time to answer my questions thoroughly. Will use them again for other related projects as required when they come up.

I suppose the company is great. The problem I had is that the first thing is that they were very late. Then they told me that my chimney would need to be relined, which I declined. They then climbed on the roof, took a picture of the top of the chimney and said that the chimney cap was cemented in to the top and it would cost extra. At that point, I declined to have the deal done. I suppose they do good work, but the fact that they were extremely late (were supposed to be at my home between 10 and 1 and didn't show until 4:30) was not encouraging. The second was that they were trying to upsell. Good try, just not what I expected. The cavalier attitude on the phone that the work would take about 1/2 an hour was truly amazing. They were looking at a 2012 image of the house and things have changed. Was aggravated and cancelled the work immediately.

Well done. on time and fast. Could have cleaned up a bit better afterwards as there were traced of soot in front of the fireplace and armchairs. But overall very good service.

I cannot rate actual quality of service because it was never performed. I can only rate front of the house customer service, which was horrible. After reviewing ratings on Angie's List, I scheduled an inspection and service for my gas fireplace - weeks ago. The gentleman I first scheduled with was not great but they had a good Angie's List rating so I stuck with it. I stayed home all morning and when I hadn't heard from anyone toward the end of my window, I called. I was told an email was sent canceling at the end of my window because they couldn't find my phone number. Seriously? The gentleman on the phone was not at all apologetic even though I had waited weeks for this appointment and wasted an entire morning waiting for this service call. When a business is not respectful of its customer's time they lose my business. So I'll be going with another company. Who writes my phone number down when I schedule an appointment and schedules in a manner that respects its customers time.

It went very well. I was impressed that none of the technicians attempted to "sell" any product. The advice was sound but not pushy. He gave advice but indicated that there was no immediate danger. Because I like to use my fireplace a lot, I decided not to take a chance and opted to have the liner installed. The installers were prompt, engaging and efficient . The job last a full day. They cleaned up everything. Replaced any thing that they moved back to the correct spot without prompting ( a rarity now a days ) .while it is expensive, after seeing the amount of work involved, I understand the charges more than ever.
