Description of Work: Purchased deal for a chimney cleaning. Serviceman showed up in time and after inspecting, indicated chimney could not be cleaned or used because it needed to be relined. Added that they would apply my payment for the cleaning to the fee to repair the chimney for approx $2k. I told him I was not interested in such an expense at this time. No further communication from the company, including the payment I made to get chimney cleaned.

Description of Work: A chimney inspection was done and went very well. The tech was extremely knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions and provided a complete report of the interior structural damage and how it could be repaired. I was very pleased with the service and plan on having my chimney relined this summer.

Description of Work: Despite a relatively clean, well maintained fireplace and chimney (the inspection did not reveal any serious problems), somehow a $2000+ re-build of the fireplace box was strongly recommended. (I had an architect confirm that there was no immediate concerns with respect to my fireplace functionality).

Description of Work: Chimney.com did a good job in suggesting what is needed. However, we didn't have knowledge to determine if this is correct or not. In any case, they installed the lining inside of the chimney for CO not to escape out. They did patch some mortar inside of the chimney - I believe. I also think that in addition, they connected the pipes of our heater and the boiler to one single pipe that leads into the main chimney pipe. Apparently, this is a new regulation....Unfortunately, I don't remember details of this task. We are very happy with the job they performed. They were knowledgeable and time efficient. We will definitively call them again if needed.

Description of Work: I purchased a chimney sweep through Angies list for I believe $95. When he arrived he told me that my chimney could not be used without spending a huge amount of money. I said OK, and can I get some type of refund since only a diagnosis was performed and that costs less than what I paid for---- a chimney sweep. He said sure. I also asked for a detailed list of services and prices that would need to be done in order to get it working. I rent and my landlord said that he would consider fixing. It has been almost 2 months. I have contacted them a few times to no avail. I really liked the guy that came out but I can't seem to get any help from office. see above
