It went pretty good. They were on time and came within the time frame they gave me. They took out one screen and I'm waiting to see how they turn out.

These guys said that they would take 3 to 4 weeks to fix a screen door...that I brought to them!!!! This is rediculous...they said that they have too much work...to take it or leave it !!! They will never get my work.

They scheduled pickup and delivery and I got calls in the morning when the man was in route so I could gage when he would actually be there.

The neighbors little kid decided to shoot at the side of our house and did not pay. They are very good and professional. They are responsive and easy to work with. Their pricing is good. I had to get Pella windows and they had to order them. There is a very nice woman at the main office.

Started by sending an email asking someone to contact me about a 46-year-old slider that needed repair, not replacement. (Among all the Angie's List companies under the window/glass/door categories, they were one of only two that looked from their description like they specialized in repairing windows and doors, versus replacing them; this was a huge factor in selecting them, since I don't have $4,000 to $5,000 to spend on a new 8-foot door.) After 48 hours without hearing anything, I gave up on that route and called the office directly. I did find their lack of response a little odd, since their website was so informative and they had a "contact us" button. For the record, their site was easy to navigate and use; however, they do need to check their email more frequently. Anyway, when I called, I was told there was a week's wait for service because they were so busy; since the door was secure and the glass in the frame intact, I agreed to wait and scheduled the appointment. Was also told there was a $68 fee to come out, which would be applied to the cost of any work performed. All their phone staff were very courteous and professional. I received a confirmation call the day before and another one the morning of the appointment; the tech also called me when he was 15 minutes away from my house. I was the first appointment of the day and he arrived by 8:30. The work was performed quickly and efficiently; the tech was very professional. When he finished, everything was tidy. In addition to the glass service, he replaced the rollers, adjusted the track and did a little work on the lock to make the door open and lock more easily. I didn't know I needed new rollers when the service call was entered, but he had the parts on his truck. He also gave me some advice on how to maintain the track on which the door slides to get maximum life out of the rollers. The final price was a few cents under $199, including the $68 fee. Given that a new door to fit an 8-foot opening would have cost me thousands of dollars, needless to say, I was delighted. I would definitely use them again.

Service person was helpful and responsive, repairs done well. Thought I was going to have to replace my aging windows and screens, but now will be able to get several more years (if not more) out of them. Well worth the money spent on repairs.

5 vinyl windows about 20 years old would not open and/or were missing parts. Blaine was recommended by a contractor. Someone came out and did an estimate. We received the estimate in the mail along with a special offer for 10% off. Waited about a month and offer expired. Called in to schedule and they honored the special offer. Repairman arrived on time and did work professionally. Price was fair. I will call them again.

I needed a sliding patio door either replaced or repaired. It said "FREE ESTIMATES" on the Angieslist website. When I called, I was told that there was a $65 fee for the estimate which would be credited to my account if I had the work done. THIS IS NOT A FREE ESTIMATED.

The glazier arrived in the time estimated, performed the service efficiently and charged the amount quoted to me in advance of the the service. Exactly how every service call should be handled.

These guys specialize in sliding door repair. We were not strong enough to slide the door. After they left, everything was working again.

Called last week to set up an estimate for some window repairs. Was surprised by the $65 charge for the call-out for the estimate, but was assured it would be credited, in part to any repairs. Was told at time of making appointment that I would be first call of the day, between 8 and 9:30 am. It is now 9:30 and no one is here. I called Blaine and was told that I am in fact the fourth call of the day and that no one will be here until noon. The kicker is that they claimed to have called yesterday around noon and left a message on my cell phone. I have no record of that call nor any message. So, now I'll go to work late and at least not have to shell out $65 for a repair estimate. Not a happy potential customer!

Overall, the work performed was fast and well done. Communication was good from the estimate all the way to the final installation. The employees were friendly and the price was reasonable. A+ overall. Highly recommended. Blaine was the only company I could find with an expertise and specialization in window repair. (Nearly all window companies only install the windows you buy from them.) I called Blaine for an estimate and within a week someone came out as promised and arrived within the time frame given. The contractor who gave the estimate was also the lead installer so he knew exactly what it would take to remove the old window and install the new one. Blaine sent a contract with the final price via email and I signed and scanned the contract and emailed it back. Withtin two weeks of the estimate, they came for the installation. Four contractors arrived around 9am and they were done by 11:30am. They had to bring a three-tier scaffold to reach the window and they were careful to not scratch the walls. After an hour they setup the scaffolding and removed the old window. It took another hour to put the new window in and caulk around the window on both the inside and outside. To finish they cleaned the new window, took down the scaffolding and then hauled away the old window. One of the contractors remarked that the new window fit very well and the installation of the window didn't give them any problems. Contracting with Blaine was quick, easy and painless.

They were excellent. They made an order mistake on one of my windows (ordering a 4 pane glass instead of a 3 pane) and quickly realized the mistake was theirs during installation. The company quickly reordered the glass and got it installed without incident.

Blaine Windows came and measured my window for replacement. They charge $65 for the visit which can be put against the work to be completed. Unfortunately, the work I needed done was not something the company does. I was very happy when they returned my $65 which I didn't think they had to. They are an ethical and honest company and I would use them again.

While the entire process was a little drawn out which I attribute to the holiday season, the overall experience was good. They accomodated my request for early a.m. appointments, completed the work as agreed, and I wouldn't hesitate to use their services again.

They are good and I like how prompt they were. They seemed to do a good job overall.

After signing the contract and paying the deposit in mid December, I was told that the window technician would arrive on Jan. 4. I asked for a time window, but was told I would receive a call the day prior the service for the time window. I never received a call. I then called at 8:30 a.m. on the 4th and was told that the technician was on his way in 20-30 minutes. The 2 technicians that arrived completed the work fairly quickly, cleaned up and left. When I looked at the window in the bathroom, however, I realized that the pane in the bathroom had not been replaced. I then recalled that one technician told me that they were completed except for that last window and had me sign the form "while he was replacing the pane." This is outright dishonesty. Should I have checked to make sure that all of the work was completed before signing the form and allowing them to leave? Yes. Does that give Blaine Windows the right to cheat me out of my hard earned money? No. I called the company minutes after the technicians left and I was told several times that they could not reach the technician to try and rectify the problem. It was not until my third call that I was told that the technician said he had replaced the window. When I assured them he had not, I was told that a pane would be ordered and that it would take another week. No apologies for the outright dishonesty of an employee (perhaps he was just following Blaine business practices) or for the additional time I will have to take off from work to have the pane replaced, assuming that they will actually do so. I plan to update my report to reflect when and whether they have fixed the issue.

The company arrived early to install a replacement window purchased through a separate window supplier. New window set was too large to fit through the house and they disassembled the window to allow transport to the second floor. i had already prepared the existing window location by removing all of the trim to provide access to the window framing. The new window went in relatively easily. I reinstalled new trim/moulding around the window. New window looks and operates wonderfully. The company hauled away the old window.

Everything went well and they are good to work with. The only problem that I encountered was not getting a call back after they picked up the things and rectifying the matter myself. When I realized there was a problem a couple weeks later and called back, they were very quick to get the project back on schedule. We lost a little time, but it was not a problem for these small items. I have used them in the past and will certainly use them again.

All went very well. The two-man team arrived on time, did the work professionally, were finished in less than 30-minutes. The job also cost less than the original estimate ($200).

We had difficulty with the staff in getting them to cut the correct dimensions for our project. By that we mean the dimensions we gave them and the dimensions we needed to fit our door window. We finally felt we had to accept the plastic replacement they cut for us, rather then continue to argue for a better fit. We were able to install the replacement plastic window they cut, with diffuculty, but had to trim it ourselves. It was our feeling the store/staff could care less. There attitude was accept it as is, or don't. We cut it, you pay. Period.

This company is AAAA+ and could write the book on proffesionalism and exemplary customer service. Prompt, efficient, competent, and friendly. Had to wait two weeks for a non emergency appointment and the price seemed high, but sometimes what quality costs.

The guy at the service counter was OK but he basically told me to look at samples on a board and he would see if they had them in stock.

It took a while to order the replacement parts. And I had to followup myself when the estimate didn't arrive orIgnially. But once the part came, they arrived on time and repaired the window as expected. I would recommend them

They were very good. They are the standard when it comes to windows and screens, but their services are limited. I'm now looking for a storm door and shutters, and they are limited in those areas.
